  • "Loved our stay, but didn't like the drive up because of the enormous pot holes!"

! Cream tea on arrival was a lovely and a delicious thought. Thank you. Perfect place to stay for tranquil holiday away from it all. Cottage was spotless with a lovely seaside theme. Having joint problems I was nervous about the shower as there was no aid for safety, no grab handle. Also top of the stairs needs a continued rail for ease. I worked in occupational therapy so was very aware of surroundings. But apart from that detail, it was a GREAT and PRETTY cottage.

  • "Beautiful cottage, clean, well equipped and well maintained, and with lovely views."

The owners thoughtfully provided all the elements for a cream tea on arrival. As other reviewers have said, the half-mile track down to the cottage is very poor with huge deep potholes and, for most of it, no passing places should you happen to meet a vehicle going the opposite way.

The only drawback was the single track to reach the cottage but it didn’t detract from our enjoyment

. furnishings, fittings and decoration of very high quality. Lots of care taken with extensive outside space. Brilliant appliances. Only slight problem being unable to sit up in bed due to sloping ceiling

  • "Lovely cottage with amazing views."

Lovely family who were very helpful. The directions were ok but not well signed, it took us an hour from Barnstaple and the drive was a nightmare but I'm sure these will be sorted out in time. Our stay wonderful.

  • "A beautiful cottage in a stunning location."

The cottage was extremely well equipped. The location is perfect for many tourist locations in North Devon. It was very peaceful with lots of wildlife to see and hear. A very thoughtful cream tea was provided. We will return next year.

  • "We booked a family holiday at Honeysuckle Cottage during the last week of the summer holidays and it was perfect!"

The owners were incredibly helpful and accessible but also unobtrusive. The cottage itself was beautiful; stunning surroundings, peaceful, clean, comfortable, and well equipped. Being able to do washing and put it outside on a washing line was amazing as we didn't return home with loads of washing to do. We were also expecting very poor wifi due to the location but it worked perfectly and we very much enjoyed the unexpected bonus of the guest Netflix and Amazon Prime accounts. It was a great base for exploring all that North Devon has to offer and we highly recommend it.

  • "You couldn't have a more peaceful and beautiful spot than where Honeysuckle cottage is!"

Set within an old walled garden and with gorgeous views, and well situated to explore North Devon. There is a bumpy track to get there, but it's fine if you take it slow. The cottage itself is gorgeous and very comfortable, with everything you need.

  • "Our stay was just perfect!"

We had a warm welcome by the owners and a cream tea was waiting for us, lovely little touch. The property is beautiful and spotlessly clean, with super comfy beds. It has everything you need and more. And that view, well it was just incredible! The gardens are stunning! Our two girls loved the play area and walking around the walled gardens. The road up to the property is a little bumpy, but take it slow and you will be just fine, it is so worth it. I would highly recommend this property.

  • "We have just had a fabulous week at Honeysuckle Cottage, one of the best cottages we have been to and how lucky we were to be the first couple to stay here."

Everything was obviously pristine and new but the attention to detail with colour coordination and all the necessary equipment that was provided was excellent. A nice touch was the Devonshire cream tea provided for us on arrival, it lasted us three days and was very much appreciated. We were very comfortable in the cottage and felt very relaxed. The weather was good to us so we were able to sit out on the patio and take advantage of the pretty walled garden and distant views. The reviews for Rose Cottage which is next door all mentioned the narrow approach lane to the property. At first it was a bit daunting but there are a few passing places on the first stretch of the road and on the rest of the road there are potholes and it is quite bumpy but our car is just a small SUV and as long as you drive slowly and limit the number of journeys you make in the day you make to the cottage it was manageable Overall a very good stay and we would definitely recommend and come again
