"1. The kitchen utensils are very good ,almost ott, but the addition of a small plastic basin to fit into the existing large sink would be very useful and save a lot of water, also some j/ cloths or dish cloths."

Tucked away on a residential street, just off the main road in the centre of Kingsbrige, Devon, is this wonderful recently refurbished single-storey property, Little Starboard.
Within touching distance of the South Devon AONB and less than five miles to the coast, this charming, contemporary property is well-placed for discovering the incredible countryside and coastline of South Devon.

Enter the property into the open-plan living room, with white painted walls, making the space bright and airy, with a well-equipped kitchen featuring glossy white units and stylish worktops, where you can prepare delicious home-cooked meals, to be enjoyed together at the dining table, before retiring to the plush corner sofa and enjoying your favourite shows on the Smart TV, or making plans for the remainder of your stay.
Choose from two cosy, all-white bedrooms with ample storage and hanging space for your belongings; a super-king-size (which can be converted into twins if requested at time of booking) and a double, to accommodate for a variety of groups, served by the immaculate family bathroom with a choice of a short bath or a separate shower cubicle.
Outside is an enclosed rear patio and gravel garden with outdoor furniture, ideal for enjoying alfresco meals and watching the peaceful night sky, surrounded by the warmth of the fire.
The rear garden is also ideal to store those paddleboards or bikes on the odd day that you won't be using them.
The bustling town of Kingsbridge is a short walk away, with a good selection of shops, cafés, other eateries and an award-winning pub, as well as a museum and two art galleries.
Visitors can enjoy scenic walks along the Kingsbridge Quay, wander through the narrow alleys off Fore Street.
Situated on the edge of the South Devon AONB, within the attractive South Hams area, Kingsbridge rests at the head of a marine estuary, and during the summer months you can take a boat excursion to Salcombe, enjoying an abundance of wildlife along the way.
Salcombe rests mostly on the steeper, west side of the Kingsbridge Estuary, and is a popular resort with tourists and sailing enthusiasts, known for its incredible scenery.
Here, you can enjoy a visit to the maritime museum, the 20th century Edwardian property Overbeck's, with fascinating art & history collections, the ruins of its castle, Fort Charles, overlooking the estuary and close to North Sands Beach, one of two stunning sandy beaches you can spend the day relaxing on, and you can't visit Salcombe without trying some of its incredible gin at the Salcombe Gin Distillery.
From here, you are within easy reach of the National Trust's Snapes Point, with walking trails along the estuary, panoramic views and opportunities to see fascinating wildlife, while just across the estuary, on the other side of Salcombe's harbour, is the small town of East Portlemouth, with a stunning sandy beach and positioned on a hill, where you can enjoy views as far as Dartmoor.
Keen walkers can join the South West Coast Path in both directions, taking in some outstanding coastal views along the way, with a venture east taking in the incredible English Riviera, a section of the South Devon coastline thought to resemble the magnificent French Riviera.
The seaside town of Paignton is a short drive away, with a zoo and environmental park, Splashdown Quaywest water park, Victorian pier with plenty of entertainment and its selection of picturesque beaches, which form part of the incredible English Riviera.
A wonderful base from which to explore the true highlights of South Devon.

The busy little town of Kingsbridge lies at the head of a marine estuary in the attractive South Hams area of South Devon. Kingsbridge is home to a range of lovely independent shops and coffee shops, as well as a 3-screen cinema and an award-winning pub. During the summer season there are estuary excursions by ferry to Salcombe which lies on the banks of the Kingsbridge Estuary, making it one of the prettiest towns in South Devon. Salcombe is famous for its outstanding coastal views, rolling countryside, and is a watersports paradise for kayaking, surfing, paddle boarding and powerboating. It is packed with boutique shops, high street brands and independent producers, restaurants serving freshly caught seafood, and Salcombe Gin and Ice cream! Kingsbridge is perfectly located as a base to enjoy the abundant wildlife in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), which also forms part of the South Devon Heritage Coast. Visitors can take a walk along the Kingsbridge Quay, wander through the narrow alleys off Fore Street.. Around the South Hams area there are picturesque ports, such as Dartmouth and Salcombe, together with sandy beaches at Blackpool Sands near Stoke Fleming and the two sandy beaches at Thurlestone. There are a host of small attractive villages in South Hams offering interesting pubs, local farm produce shops and pretty rows of cottages, plus further afield the waterfront city of Plymouth is a vibrant centre, housing the National Marine Aquarium, historic Barbican Quay and plenty of night life, including theatres, restaurants and bars. Kingsbridge can be easily reached by train to Totnes and then a local bus service which will take you to Kingsbridge town centre.
