"Very comfortable, warm and peaceful cottage."
-
"A beautiful place to stay."
Brimley Barn is just lovely and we very much enjoyed our stay here. The barn is very well equipped and has everything you need. It is set in a lovely location and perfect to visit local places, it is so peaceful too. It would be ideal if you had a dog as plenty of space to run about, we don't have a dog (not yet!) But still enjoyed the space, we would love to return with maybe a furry four legged friend! We had lovely weather and clear nights to appreciate the stars and the beautiful full moon whilst we were there. The hosts were lovely and have created a lovely place to stay. Thanks Sarah and Nick. We would highly recommend staying here, you won't be disappointed. Karen and Steve.
Hello Karen and Steve -thanks so much for your kind review! We’re so glad when folk enjoy it and appreciate the beauty of the area. You’re so welcome to come again especially with a new four- legged friend :) Sarah Property Owner

"A wonderful full of character barn to stay in for my family and 3 children."
Three bedrooms, two single bed rooms, all well appointed and with plenty of space and storage for clothing if needed. Main bathroom was very spacious. Master bedroom and En-suite was a very nice touch of luxury, along with some nice bedside lamps. The open plan lounge dining and kitchen space was lovely to spend time in relaxing, all one level so easy to move around. Lots of pans and equipment for cooking what we needed to. WiFi was great, I was able to plug my own Fire Stick in to the TV and got what TV I wanted to watch going. Dishwasher, Tumble dryer and washing machine inside were all useful. Plenty of towels provided along with basics in the kitchen, tea and coffee along with dishwasher tablets, kitchen roll and soaps for cleaning & washing. Overall, lovely location and a wonderful stay for us all, hosts were also very welcoming

"The Barn was set in a beautiful secluded location, with some Lovely open space in the Grounds and Lovely walks away from them."
It was unfortunately let down by a General lack of maintenance with many fixtures and fittings in need of replacement or repair and although generally ok it would benefit from a good deep clean. Also some sort of a welcome pack (even just a card on the table) would have been nice. We did though have a nice break in an enviably quiet location with the owners seeming nice when we contacted them via text re some issues.

"It’s a lovely property and the owners, Sarah and Nick were friendly and helpful."
Unfortunately, the weather was not great and the ground everywhere was saturated which meant it wasn’t good for walking the dog as it was just too muddy. Ideal if you want to be cut off - the narrow Devon roads are interesting to say the least. It was a comfortable and well equipped base to return to .
Hello Philip Thank you for the lovely review it was great to meet you all. Only sorry the weather wasn’t kinder for you. Welcome anytime. Sarah and Nick Property Owner

"A lovely peaceful place to stay with lovely hosts."
The barn was clean and comfortable. A great place for dogs to roam with paddocks, woods and a stream which our dog loved. Very narrow roads to the property but not for too far, very central for days out in Somerset and Devon. Locally you do have to drive unless you are active and mobile.
