  • "This is a nice property with lovely views, well equipped and nice shower."

The main issue for us was the access as the property is at the end of a row near the bottom of a steep road, when you find the property you realise it not suitable for anyone with reduced mobility, our car is parked on a steep road then you have to walk down a steep path to gain access and the path has several obstacles before you arrive at the property, we left early as my wife couldn’t negotiate the access.

It is a comfy and cosy chalet.

  • "A really great place to use as a base in Dartmouth and to visit places nearby."

Unfortunately it rained a lot when we were there. The ‘hut’ is cosy with everything you need. Nice view right on the end of other chalets / huts. The only thing I would say is that the white sofa is not comfy to sit on which meant all 4 of us never sat in the lounge area together. Other than that - all good. Thank you

  • "The Hut is very well equipped and in a fabulous location."

The actual chalet park is a bit sad looking but once you are inside the chalet it's fine. The chalet is very well decorated and everything has been thought of that you could possibly need. There was a damp smell each time you walk in but that cleared when the windows were opened so wasn't too bad, it is also quite dusty on skirting boards. Dartmouth is absolutely stunning and there is a park and ride within 3 mins drive and that was really good for getting into the beautiful town and exploring - you must walk to the castle and explore the hidden coves around there.

Refuse to believe we were the first people there will allergies. Otherwise a really nice place

  • "Had a great holiday as we did 3 years ago, time flies!"

Great location for views over the Dart and countryside. Quiet as no one was in residence nearby. The Hut is convenient, clean and comfortable. Blackout blinds in the bedroom would be an advantage, a knife sharpener useful and the bathroom sink waste seal repaired so it holds water. A great break and the weather was kind too.

  • "Lovely little place in a picturesque location, close to amenities."

only grumble was that the double bed left no room whatsoever in one of the bedrooms. also, given the relative size of the property, it does feel a little cluttered

  • "Nicely presented chalet with fun nautical theme."

Clean, tidy, spacious and well equipped. Double bed too big for room, as no access around and had too climb over. Nice location for exploring area and excellent views. I would definitely consider another stay.

It had good facilities, and I recommend this Chalet for a holiday.

  • "We had a fabulous family holiday at The Hut."

Everything was there as described, very clean chalet, comfortable beds and lovely views. Outside The Hut is a perfect slope for children(adults) to play on (Roll down) and on site is a large open space with even more lovely views of the river Dart. You do need to drive everywhere due to the nature of the roads no safe walking pavement, however shops, leisure centre (which we used for a family swim) and Dartmouth Park and ride are very close. We had a lovely time thanks again.

  • "The Hut was a charming little chalet - perfect to explore the area."

We used the communal picnic area to bbq with friends whilst there. Great views of Dartmouth and an ideal location for driving out to several beaches. We visited Blackpool sands and Slapton Sands. The park and ride was fabulous at £5 per car into Dartmouth and the local supermarkets are a few minutes away. We had a lovely holiday and the kids especially loved crabbing in Dartmouth and we also drove out to a local village where we caught (and put back) hundreds! Thanks for a lovely stay at The Hut.

Beautiful location with amazing views to wake up to.

  • ""The Hut " had everything we required for our break."

The site was quiet but reasonably near to a couple of major supermarkets and the Park and Ride into Dartmouth. What we will always remember though will be the stunning views over the beautiful countryside which continually drew us and we ate alfresco nearly every night to get the full benefit!

About the location

DARTMOUTH

Totnes 12 miles.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth. A relaxing location in South Devon.
