45 Customer Reviews

  • "All very comfortable, and in a great village."

Parking space was tiny, difficult to access in a larger car. Sofas a little worn out. Great walking immediately outside the door, train line, and good pubs to eat very close by.

Thank you for your feedback, the sofas have been replaced! and newly redecorated.- thanks again! Property Owner

The property

Meadow View Cottage is a wonderfully finished, character cottage in the heart of popular Lympstone - one of Devon’s prettiest villages.

Well connected, you can walk (or take the train) along the picturesque Avocet Line following the eastern bank of the Exe estuary to the sea at Exmouth, or to Topsham with its interesting independent stores, boutiques and restaurants, both 3 miles away.

Recently refurbished, everything has been made beautiful, the cottage is warm, welcoming and thoroughly stylish – perfect for romantic couples or for families.

Over two floors, you’ll find the comfy bedrooms with landing steps to family bathroom with huge walk in shower upstairs.

On the ground floor, why not relax in the smart sitting room in front of the fire?

Or dine in the kitchen/diner where you’ll find sleek surfaces, slate floors and all the mod cons for your convenience.

Outside (accessed via stone steps) is a gorgeous terraced suntrap garden with table and chairs and a barbeque – an idyllic spot for drinks and an evening meal whilst watching the sunset.

When the sun dips below the horizon, retire to the summer house before heading inside.

Nearby there are several good food pubs in this little-changed village and many excellent attractions in the local area, including a number of good sandy beaches.

For traditional family seaside fun, head to the beach at Exmouth (parts of which are dog friendly all year) where you’ll find acres of sand and for the adventurous among you a myriad of water sports.

Lympstone Manor and its exceptional vineyard are close by, or for a fun day out with the children why not try the World of Country Life or Crealy family theme park.

Whether you are looking for a relaxing family holiday on golden beaches or a romantic break for two in a cosy cottage, Meadow View Cottage is a perfect escape in which you can get away-from-it-all.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.
