  • "Very friendly, lovely host, great imagination"

  • "This apartment is exactly as advertised and the owner, who lives on site, offers a lovely friendly and helpful presence without being in any way intrusive."

It may not suit those less mobile due to the stairs and the location (built half way up a cliff therefore there is always a hill to climb unless you drive!) but the positioning makes the view outstanding. The balcony is the star of this apartment - rain or shine, the outlook is amazing!

  • "Absolutely beautiful quirky place."

4 night New Year Break. Gill was very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The views are stunning, Strong legs and walking boots needed but well worth the effort. We will defiantly be visiting again soon. The only downside was the weather Storm Henk

  • "There was not £5 on the electric meter, as described in the advertising> we know this because the electricity ran out on the first night there."

We put £5 in £1 pound coins into the meter and it lasted all week, leaving some for the next person. So, please remove this discrepancy from the advertising. Balcony was a bonus, kitchen was fine but the size of the apartment was smaller than expected.

  • "Flat 4 is great for a stay all year round with a beautiful enclosed balcony."

The whole house is spectacular and the decor as you enter the property is just brilliant. Gillian was a great host and it was lovely to chat with her and hear of the history of the house snd local character. The guest book showing visits over the past 50 years had me hooked and it made for a great page turner. Such a good base to explore and able to leave the car for days to take in the local walks. I would definitely return if in the area. It is key people do their research as the property as well as Lynmouth/Lynton would be challenging for anyone with restricted mobility/fitness.

  • "Lovely apartment."

Very clean. Problem to get there you had to turn up a very steep and narrow lane which was very tight to get car through. When you get there car parking very limited. And to get out was very difficult

  • "We had a lovely week, for us the apartment was in a good position to visit all the places we planned to drive too and also we loved the position in the resort, we don't mind walking up the the steep slopes that Lynmouth is based on."

Our host Jill was lovely, always ready to chat. All very good.
