That will come in handy if you choose to take advantage of the great cycle tracks which lead to the city of Exeter or across the water on the ferry to Starcross.

Stay within Exmouth and you have plenty to entertain you, with shops, pubs, a cinema, theatre, and of course the long and lovely sandy beach.

Here you can try sailing, windsurfing, bird watching or walking on the Coast Path.

With Dartmoor not far away, 2 Carlton Mews is perfectly positioned for exploring coast and countryside.

EXMOUTH

Exeter 11.5 miles.

On the eastern bank of the estuary of the River Exe, Exmouth has everything required by the visitor for a relaxing break. A thriving coastal town with a nationally renowned bird sanctuary, close to miles of sandy beaches, superb coastal walking, with everything for the fisherman and sailor, close to Exeter and with much to do and see - this all contributes to the town’s attraction. In addition to messing about on boats, lazing on the beach or taking the ferry up the estuary or to Dawlish Warren nature reserve, there’s always Crealy Park theme park, Bicton Park stately home and gardens, the Donkey Sanctuary at nearby Sidmouth, Woodbury Common, the cathedral city of Exeter, the Sandy Bay World of Country Life and the all absorbing Jurassic Coast with its famous fossil deposits stretching eastwards into Dorset. In terms of visitor attractions and coastal lifestyle you won’t find much better than Exmouth.
