"A lovely well kept cottage with a lovely sea view right next to the coastal path."
We had a lovely stay and there was plenty of room for us and our 2 greyhounds. Whole cottage was well equipped, beds were comfy. Absolutely no complaints. The village was quiet, just the break we needed.
The only thing to note would be the yard wraps around the property and is technically only fully enclosed by the small garden gate at the front. As we have sighthounds they would jump it easily if they saw something like a cat etc. We just used the wheely bins to block off the side passage so we could let the dogs out of the back without them getting around the front so it wasn’t an issue for us.
Thank you very much for your lovely feedback. It really is a beautiful relaxing loaction. An ideal place to bring your dogs if you love walking the coastal paths. I'm glad you found a way to contain your greyhounds, we don't have that issue with little terriers who love to run from the back yard to the front patio to watch the passers by. We hope to see you again sometime.

"The property is just as great as we remembered from last years stay and so happy we stayed again."
The only issue we had was little or no WiFi signal which wasn’t an issue last year meaning if we needed to do anything on the internet or respond to emails we had to head out to find a mobile signal.
Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay again. I'm so sorry to hear about the internet, we didn't realise until today there was an issue. We are in the process of getting fibre installed so hopefully that will resolve any issues. Our electrician has visited the property in the mean time to see if he can resolve anything.

"Fabulous cottage in an amazing location."
The cottage is very well equipped and well furnished. It would be nice to have a bin in the bedrooms as the bathroom bin is quite small but that is a minor point.
Parking is easy in the numbered bays across the road. Would certainly recommend going there and we would return in a heartbeat
Thank you very much for taking the time to give us such lovely feedback. Taken note about the bin in the bedrooms- good idea. We hope to see you again in this wonderful quiet location in Devon.

Other than fabulous place and location
Thank you very much for your feedback- it is appreciated you took the time to do this. We did have a stair gate but removed it as it was a trip hazard for people as the came down the stairs. We are very grateful you found a solution to this issue. We hope to see you again some time.

"Wonderful property."
Really clean and homely and everything we needed for a great week away. As described, easy to find and parking directly opposite the property.
Loved the patio out the front of the house (despite the inclement weather!)
Close to the centre of the village, so facilities in walking distance.
Don't be put off by the stairs up to the house; two of the party are elderly but made it up and down with no issues.
We will be back!
Thank you so much for that lovely feedback, we really appreciate you taking the time to do so. We are so pleased you had a lovely stay in beautiful Mortehoe despite the weather we hope to see you again some time.

"We really loved the location and fell in love with Mortehoe."
It’s so well placed for amazing walks, trips to the pubs and takeaways. The convenience of the campsite shop up the road is also good. We were all really comfortable in the house from day one and by the middle of our break we’d booked again for next summer. The sunset view from the front patio was perfect as we ate our meals sat at the comfortable furniture. One thing we loved was the privacy of the property. We could sit as a family as the world went by, both inside and outside without people looking in on us.

Perfectly equipped with everything you could need, lovely welcome scones and cream were a lovely touch :)
Only one thing that I would add to the cottage is perhaps a lamp in the lounge area just to make it feel a little more cosy than having the main lights on especially when you have the log burner lit, but that is just a little thing which we felt would add to the ambience in the evening.
Thank you very much for your positive feedback. We agree the cottage is located in a beautiful part of North Devon. Yes a lamp would be a good idea in the lounge area particularly now guests are lighting the log burner. We hope to see you again sometime.

You feel that the house is fully equipped like the owners would stay there themselves. Everything is super clean and of high quality. Nearby a lot of fine walks and views. Mortehoe is a quiet , agreable place with nice restaurants/take away/ tea room. The wide private parking place is a plus. We left the car unused during our stay, and enjoyed our walks to Woolacombe to go surfing and swimming. It is uphill returning, but we would make the choice for Mortehoe again!

"Great property, the steps up to it from the road weren’t a problem and the car park space was close enough."
On arrival we did question what we had booked, we noticed that the front windows were dirty (there had been storms, but the house keeper could have wiped them over) and the patio furniture was very rusty, but once inside things improved immensely.
We very much enjoyed our stay.
However, we found getting the temperature of the shower in the bathroom difficult to control and the wall bracket holding the shower head had one screw to hold it in place, so if you held the shower by hand the wall bracket would turn over.
We also found the water temperature to the kitchen sink variable. After a short burst of hot water it quickly ran to like warm.
A colander would be useful.
None of the above particularly affected our stay, but worth noting all the same.
Thank you very much for your feedback it is very much appreciated.
Yes, the windows took a battering in the storms and it seems there was sand in the rain sticking to them too, the window cleaner visits the property once a month and is due this coming week.
The salty air has affected our front wrought iron furniture but this is in hand now the spring is coming.
We will look into the water issue, this has never been a problem before so thank you for mentioning it.
We are glad you enjoyed your stay in beautiful Mortehoe.

As people in their 70’s we found the 30 steps to the cottage very difficult.
Second there were signs of mould on the coving at the foot of the stairs, and around the main bedroom window.
Finally there were no toilet roll holders.
Thank you very much for your feedback. The details of the property were amended after you booked your stay with us, so unfortunately you wouldn't have seen them.
