"This lodge was luxurious and so comfortable in every way."
The furnishings were beautiful, and the little touches made it stand out from all the rest.Contact from the owners was much appreciated, which came via a text a couple of days into our stay to check all was well. Attention to detail was very noticeable. I was so amazed by each and every room. I even had a sea view from one of the sofas. The beds were so comfortable too. Just an amazing lodge.

We stayed in the beautiful lodge for a week and it was perfect it’s well equipped with everything you can need very spacious the extra touches go along way the lodge is in a very good area nice a peaceful you could see the sea on a good day it’s all very clean and tidy the Wi-Fi was excellent we would definitely be booking to stay here again and would highly recommend you too our friends and family

"Absolutely beautiful lodge a real home from home."
Super comfy beds, very clean and had everything you could need for a relaxing stay. Samantha (the owner) was very polite and welcoming making sure we had everything we needed and knew how to get in touch if we needed to. All in all a lovely place to stay within easy reach of lots of places to visit.

"A fabulous lodge, beautifully decorated, everything you need was provided and more."
We felt like we were in a home from home.
The extras like the coffee machine, the chocolates brand new looking air fryer and the lovely towels were very much appreciated.
This is a beautiful part of the world and the lodges location meant you were within easy reach of glorious beaches, lovely little harbours, welcoming pubs and restaurants.
We will be back.

"Wow what a lovely surprise the lodge was light and airy the decor was just perfect table laid to perfection everything you need was there the beds comfy and pillows plump we all slept really well the site was really lovely as well amenities perfect plus a bonus the weather was good the little extra touches to the lodge made you feel really welcome it was a shame we had to come home the whole experience was really good if you want home from home this is it!"

"Upon arrival the lodge seemed ok."
It was on par with other lodges we've stayed in. However after being there a day we realised that there were a number of issues. The windows are extremely difficult to open and only one of us could open them. Particularly problematic in the bedrooms where (due to the hard mattresses and substandard pillows) we couldn't sleep. To compound that it was so stuffy in the night and we couldn't get the windows open. Very dangerous if there was a fire. The TV kept freezing every time a car or person went past. There was a sticky blue substance on the back of the bathroom door on arrival plus dog hair on two of the bedroom throws (more on this below). The bottom step to the lodge needs urgent attention as the side of it came off when my elderly mother came up the steps. It is a serious hazard. I wouldn't stay in this lodge again but would stay on the site as it's lovely. Since we came home we've now been charged £30 extra on our card for what they've called "excess dog hair". The lodge is advertised as dog friendly?? We spent two hours cleaning this lodge before we left and took photographs to support this. We are disgusted as the photos they sent to 'prove' this show white hair yet our dog is a short haired black lab?? Our dog was groomed before we came on holiday is is not a big moulter so we dispute this. Plus we used their hoover to vacuum the whole lodge before we left. We even stripped the beds for them and put the laundry in the bathroom. We are looking at our options regarding the £30 but would advise anyone with a dog not to use this lodge. We will not be booking again!
Thank you for your feedback, whilst we appreciate feedback is subjective ask every guest to familiarise themselves with our 'welcome pack'. It stipulates clearly to report concerns, or, damages immediately, to which you did not.
We take guests safety seriously, to use the words 'dangerous' and 'fire' is untrue and an unwarranted overreaction. To reassure you and future guests confirm the windows do openly safely. We can only assume the 'button' on each handle had not been compressed. It is important to note we hold an upto date fire safety certificate.
We did extensive research on mattresses and pillows, all of which are new. Whilst we accept we cannot cater for everyone's needs pride ourselves on reviews where 'comfy beds' are regularly reported.
The internet has been checked, we also followed up with our last guests who found no issues with the TV even with passing cars/people.
There is no 'blue substance' on the bathroom door? The throws were freshly laundered? You have not provided any supporting evidence, therefore, we cannot comment further.
If the step broke when your elderly mother was ascending this should have been reported immediately, not an after thought via a review. To reassure you and future guests the step is not broken. The edging strip (purely for aesthetic purposes) has fallen off. The step is safe to use.
At time of booking would have noted a 'housekeeping bond'. We have never had to use this. Our highly reputable cleaners were severely delayed in other cleans due to the mess left. The decision to retain £30 for additional cleaning was not made alone. The cleaners provided evidence, which you have seen, as have Sykes.
Our lodge is absolutely 'dog friendly', I'm sure your Labrador enjoyed the ‘welcome’ treats we left. It is also our home and we spent time creating a cosy lodge for our guests. We are sorry your week wasn't enjoyable, but, if you had contacted us immediately regarding points raised we would have reassured and supported you.
