"While this caravan has the potential to be a really lovely place to stay, a few issues made the experience more challenging than expected."
The most frustrating aspect was the internet, which requires an additional fee, the connection was very unreliable, and even mobile data struggled in the area. It would be helpful if this were either improved or more clearly communicated in advance, as it did impact our stay. It’s unreasonable that the site expects guests to deal with the provider themselves rather than taking responsibility. The caravan itself is pleasant, but very sparsely equipped. Some basic items—such as bin bags and a few additional cleaning supplies—weren’t provided, which meant bringing more than anticipated. If they want us to keep the place in a clean condition when we leave, you really should have the decency to provide us with the cleaning supplies need. While we appreciated being able to borrow a vacuum cleaner, having a few more essentials included would make a big difference to comfort. The site felt unusually quiet during our visit, with many facilities closed, possibly due to ongoing refurbishment. The out-of-hours warden was helpful, which we appreciated, but overall the atmosphere was a little lacking. Inside the caravan, a few small additions—like a coffee table for drinks especially or bathroom bins—would improve practicality. The bathrooms were also uncomfortably cold, and we experienced the electrics tripping twice, including shortly after arrival. Overall, it’s a nice caravan with good potential, but addressing these issues and adding a few more amenities would make the stay far more comfortable and enjoyable.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback. We’re pleased to hear you saw the potential in the caravan and appreciated the help provided by the out-of-hours warden. However, we’re sorry that several aspects of your stay did not meet expectations. We understand how frustrating the internet situation must have been, particularly with the unreliable connection and limited mobile signal in the area. We appreciate your comments regarding both the service itself and the communication around it, and we will certainly review how this information is presented to guests. We’re also sorry that the caravan felt too sparsely equipped for your needs. Your feedback regarding cleaning supplies, bin bags, and additional practical items is very helpful, and we appreciate your point that guests should have the essentials needed to maintain the accommodation comfortably during their stay. In addition, we apologise for the issues with the cold bathrooms and the electrics tripping, as this is not the standard we aim to provide. These concerns will be passed on to our maintenance team for investigation. Your suggestions regarding additional furnishings and bathroom bins are also appreciated and will be taken into consideration as we continue improving the caravan experience. We truly value constructive feedback like yours, as it helps us identify where improvements are needed. Thank you again, and we hope we may have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future after these areas have been addressed. The Landscove Team Property Owner

BRIXHAM
Dartmouth 5 miles; Paignton 6 miles; Torquay 8 miles.
Brixham is a working fishing harbour located on the southern side of Torbay, the area known as The English Riviera, famed for its sunny mild climate all year round. The focal point of the harbour is a life size replica of The Golden Hind, Sir Francis Drake’s ship. The prettiest part of Brixham has small cottages in hilly narrow winding lanes leading to the harbour where all the activity is centred. Home to Britain’s largest fishing fleet which regularly lands their catch in the harbour, Brixham fish market sells to major restaurants in the UK. Brixham is the ideal destination for a traditional holiday with many family attractions around Torbay including two Blue Flag beaches, Paignton Zoo and many regattas and maritime events throughout the year. There are a host of safe cycle trails in the area, the South West Coastal Path and some of the best golf courses in the region. A good mix of relaxation or action, to suit all ages, where you are never far from the sea.
