    We previously stayed at Windy Willows which was fabulous This time we stayed Lily's Pad, equally great. There was nothing we could complain about, cleanliness, facilities and the welcome that both John & Sarah extended to us. You arrive unpack and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the area. John & Sarah have a fabulous establishment that provides everything you could possibly need with both Lily's Pad and Windy Willows.   • "We enjoyed our stay at Lily’s Pad."

    It’s bright, airy, comfortable, spacious, clean and very welcoming. The kitchen has everything you may need. Each bedroom has an en-suite, the beds are very comfortable. The owners John and Sarah are very welcoming, they surprised us with a lovely mid break treat. We would definitely recommend staying here and we will be back there.

  • "We had a fantastic break at Lilys Pad."

    John and Sarah are extremely helpful and welcoming hosts, and go the extra mile to look after their guests. Due to unforeseen circumstances we arrived very late in the evening, and John kindly took time to show us round and made sure we had everything we needed. The property was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. It was lovely to come back from walking on the moor to sit and enjoy the warmth from the log burner before sleeping in the very comfortable bed. Lilys Pad is the perfect base for a holiday in Devon, and we hope to return soon.

  • "Lily’s Pad was everything it said it would be and more."

    The owners, John and Sarah completely lived up to all the reviews and were genuinely welcoming and helpful. John provided recommendations on places to visit and eat, all of which were lovely. The accommodation was beautiful, extremely clean and tidy with everything you need, a home from home. Our four legged friend was as welcome as we were, with no rules of what he could or couldn’t do. He loved the enclosed field where he could run freely and was stretch his legs. I honestly could not recommend Lily’s Pas enough, thank you John and Sarah.

  • "Lily’s Pad is a beautiful holiday home set in a stunning location."

    Lily’s Pad felt like home from the moment we arrived and had absolutely everything we needed for a lovely relaxing holiday. The owners were lovely, warm, friendly and very welcoming. They made contact prior to our arrival to pin drop the exact location to help us find the holiday home and also offered to put up a football net for our 10 year old son which he absolutely loved. The owners left some treats to enjoy on arrival and brought us a delicious mid-week treat too. The owners were happy to make suggestions and recommendations for activities in the area and further away as well as places of interest, places to buy provisions and where to eat and drink. There is a beautiful enclosed garden with picnic table to sit at and enjoy the views. We really didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to rebook and visit again next year. Thank you to the owners for sharing their beautiful holiday home with us. It was a truly wonderful place to stay with amazing owners.

  • "Excellent holiday accommodation, Lily's Pad has everything you could need and was very Comfortable."

    John & Sarah were excellent hosts and gave us some good local information along with some excellent home made scones and cream. We would love to return at some point as we feel we only scratched the surface of what is available locally and we would be more than happy to stay at Lily's Pad again.

  • "A blissful week's Stay at Lovely Lily's Pads Dog Friendly lodge in Okehampton Devon Our week-long stay at Lovely Lily's Pads was an absolute delight!"

    From the moment we arrived, John and Sarah made us feel incredibly welcome. Their warm hospitality set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The accommodation itself was immaculate and well-appointed. The decor was charming, blending modern conveniences with a cozy, rustic feel. It was clear that a lot of thought had been put into making the space comfortable and inviting. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring we had restful nights throughout our stay. One of the standout features of Lovely Lily's Pads is its dog-friendly policy. We brought our furry baby harry along, and he had just as much fun as we did. The property has plenty of space for dogs to run around and explore, with a huge inclose field for him to run freely which was a lovely surprise and making it a hassle-free experience for pet owners. Okehampton itself is a charming town with plenty to offer. We explored the local shops, the castle and Simmons park, was also a nice treat one evening when we ordered fish and chips which was recommended by John. The location of Lovely Lily's Pads was ideal for day trips to nearby attractions, including Dartmoor National Park, which was breathtaking an many more others. John and Sarah were always on hand to offer recommendations and ensure we had everything we needed. Their attention to detail and genuine care for their guests made a huge difference. In summary, our stay at Lovely Lily's Pads in Okehampton was fantastic. The dog-friendly environment, excellent accommodation, and the hosts' hospitality made it a memorable experience. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and welcoming retreat, in the peaceful countryside of Devon especially those traveling with pets.   • "Just returned from a fabulous break at Lilys Pad - 2 adults, 2 teenagers & a labrador - and wish we could go straight back!"

    John and Sarah are lovely, welcoming hosts who are always on hand, and their accommodation is wonderful. Perfectly clean, cosy and charming, with everything you need. The rooms are well furnished and warm, with comfortable sofas and beds. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of fridge/freezer space and storage for all your shopping. The decking is ideal for enjoying the night sky, and the garden offers great views of the surrounding countryside as well as plenty of space to exercise the family dog. Having stayed in several places throughout Devon and Cornwall over the last few years, Lilys Pad is one of, if not the best, so far and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

  • "We stayed at Lily's Pad before and after surgery at Woods Medi-Spa."

    It was perfect for us and good location - close enough to both Okehampton and the clinic, but in a really nice and quiet country spot. The cottage had all the facilities we needed and was much bigger and better than the photos suggest. Everything was spotless when we arrived, and had everything we needed for a home-based stay. John and Sarah were great hosts, and very helpful. Also responded quickly to any questions we had.

The property

Lilys Pad is a charming single-storey detached Devon cottage is situated in two acres of the owners' grounds, a short distance from the edge-of-Dartmoor town of Okehampton.

This property is a wonderfully neat and smart base, full of light and just right for families or friends to enjoy the stunning surrounding scenery or travel around Devon from this central base.

The sitting room is bright and welcoming with its woodburning stove for cooler days, a Smart TV and double-glazed doors to throw open to the decking on sunny days.

The kitchen with its dining area has fun, cheerful splashes of contemporary colour, ideal for cooking up a storm.

Both the bedrooms come with an en-suite and TVs (Smart TV in the double) and are just right for cosying up after walking Dartmoor's hills and valleys.

Outside, your sunny decking with furniture sweeps around the cottage to a shared lawn with lots of space for playing games or simply enjoying the moorland views.

OKEHAMPTON

Exeter 23 miles.

Okehampton is a busy market town on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park and near the highest and most dramatic areas of the moor, where Yes Tor rises to a height above 2000 feet. To the north of Okehampton are some beautiful rolling Devon hills where small farming villages nestle amidst woods and fields with plenty of gently flowing rivers. The fabulous Roadford Reservoir offers a multitude of watersport activities and fishing opportunities. Okehampton has a prominent medieval castle overlooking a wooded river valley, the Museum of Dartmoor Life and Okehampton train station, which has been restored to its 1950s glory: The Dartmoor Line now operates a service between Okehampton and Exeter every hour, 7 days a week. The town also has access to fabulous walks and Simmons Park where you’ll find a children’s adventure playground. This area of Devon has plenty of farm shops and country inns serving good food where visitors can spend time relaxing and unwinding amongst unspoilt countryside.
