"We stayed at this beautiful holiday home in October."
Loved everything about it.. could not fault anything. We loved it so much, we are planning a return visit.
-
"Fantastic holiday from start to finish the owners could not have been more welcoming."
-
"Brilliant accomodation on a working farm, but kept separate."
Lovely barn type property on 2 levels kept in immaculate condition. Friendly and helpful owners nearby to guide and attend to any small queries, plus to give advice on local eateries, especially as we had a dog with us. Rural location in countryside but 10 minutes to nearest town. All in all a very relaxing holiday.
-

Lovely to have animals around us. Highly recommend.
-

The barn is stunning and so comfy, is the best we’ve ever stayed in. Area is fantastic and Dartmoor beautiful. Chagford is a very special place as well. Thank you very much indeed.

"We had a lovely stay / three generations family group."
The barn is well appointed and comfortable and has everything you need for a self catering stay. Dave was a very welcoming host. Everyone enjoyed their time at the farm, and it is a great base to tour Dartmoor and West Devon.

"We had a wonderful stay in this gem of a place."
Dave and Sue were terrific hosts.

"We had an amazing stay at Weddicott Barn!"
This was our first holiday with our little one of 8 months and he absolutely loved it! The place is big enough so when all our family were there with us we never felt cramped. The main bedroom is large enough that even with the travel cot up we still had acres of room! The guinea fal kept us all entertained and we loved going to see the horses and cows with the occasional suprise appearances from the chickens and bunnies. Even though we were only an hour and a half away from home we still had one of the most relaxed holidays we've had in a long time. Would definitely highly recommend and would love to come back!
-
"Beautiful quiet location, yet only minutes from the town."
The barn is fantastic, spotless when we arrived, very comfortable and spacious bedrooms ,everything you could possibly need, was provided. Helpful and friendly hosts. Great to see the animals everyday, the bull and bullock. the horses and chickens, but most of all being greeted every day by the guinea fowl. Thank you for such a lovely break.
-
"Fantastic location and amazing barn."
The amount of space for a large group is great, the outside space is fantastic especially waking up to the cows and guinea fowl and chickens. We even got to feed the calves. The hosts were helpful, friendly and always available. Best holiday cottage we've stayed in.

"Gorgeous property and great hosts."

"The description of Higher Weddicott Barn on the Sykes website both "sold" the place to us, as well as giving a lot to live up to."
Well, the property matched all expectations - exceeded them, if anything. The Barn is spacious, extremely well-equipped, comfortable, stylish, and a joy to spend a week in! Sue and Dave were brilliant, making us feel very welcome, and the Barn a real home-from-home. I won't bother itemising details, for we could not have been more delighted with our stay there. Superb, thank you. Recommended unreservedly!
Thank you for your lovely review David. Hope to welcome you all back in the future. Best wishes, Sue & Dave. Property Owner

It was perfect for 8 adults, a very sociable space and had everything we needed. We were welcomed by Sue on arrival and she made everything easy. The house is beautifully decorated and cosy.

"We booked this for 4 couples to stay in and were delighted to find a place with 4 rooms and 4 ensuite."
The booking process was easy and the communication was good. When we arrived we were really impressed with the setting - beautiful views and privacy. The barn is well thoughts out and of a high standard. It was extremely clean when we arrived and we were made to feel very welcome. During our stay we made the most of exploring the surrounding countryside. Chagford is also a great village/town with all the things you need with shops, pubs, cafes. There was a food festival there while we were there which was great to attend. I cant recommend this setting and the Barn highly enough.

"We had a fantastic week at Higher Weddicott Barn."
The accommodation was perfect for a family group of 8 across 3 generations, the bedrooms are all doubles and have their own ensuite bathrooms. The open plan kitchen and living area was a perfect social space. Lovely to sit outside and admire the views. Lots to do in the local area and beyond. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway.

"We had a lovely holiday at Higher Weddicott Barn."
The hosts, Sue and Dave, were so helpful and friendly and gave us lots of ideas of places to visit and things to do. The cottage was really lovely. The bedrooms were all quite spacious and the living space was so light and airy. We really couldn't have asked for more. Be prepared for very narrow lanes around the cottage. You do get used to them after a day or two.
