"Fabulous stay in Newton Ferrers."
Comfortable and well equipped lodge with comfy beds, hot and strong showers and a practical kitchen. Great views over the creek valley and was wonderful to wake up to such a dawn chorus every morning. The owners were responsive and helpful at all times. Make sure you check out the Green (deli) and the Dolphin Inn!

"This place is an absolute gem and a delightful location in the village of Newton Ferrers."
Tastefully appointed and well equipped it catered perfectly for our restful 4 night stay. The bath is absolutely fantastic and a real treat for this 6ft 2” chap! I agree with other comments that the sofa is rather uncomfortable.
-
"A very lovely place, everything is there what you need."
We had a lovely holiday, can’t fault anything about it.
-
"Lovely lodge with everything one needed and such high quality."
The settee was a little uncomfortable and the bathroom door handle was very stiff but apart from that we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay made even better by the lovely weather.
-
"A lovely well equipped lodge with everything you could possibly want or need."
Nice location on a small site which was quiet and peaceful during our stay. Newton Ferrers is small but with the necessary facilities. Being Devon there are many small and in places narrow lanes and roads in the area. Highly recommended.
-
"What a peaceful place just to sit and relax outside on the decking , all you can hear is the birds."
Wonderful views of the church and hills where cows are grazing . The Lodge is fabulous, especially the huge bath
-
"All good for our needs had my mum who loved the holiday my sister and her 8 year old daughter who didn’t want to leave ."
Holiday was great with the folder giving us ideas where to go which didn’t disappoint. The only down point was the weather what you can’t control but the place gave us loads of indoor games to use. The owners know how to make your holiday go well

"Well presented accommodation and well situated."

"This is our third stay at Meadow Lodge and as always everything was perfect."
They even sent on an ear ting I left behind. The owners are outstanding and offered very practical and kind support to my family when I ended up in hospital. Really can't thank them enough and hope to be back next year.
-
"Perfect base for relaxing and exploring the local area, everything at the lodge that we needed, well stocked kitchen with essentials and more, welcome pack much appreciated and enjoyed playing the family games thoughtfully left at the lodge."
Comfy beds and sofa (my son preferred the bed to his own at home!) and we were able to make full use of the outdoors furniture due to falling very lucky with the weather. Very quiet site which we preferred and good views. Lovely little village and harbour to walk into and around.
Thank you very much for your lovely review. It’s good to know we are doing things well! Property Owner

"Such a spacious and clean holiday lodge."
Everything you could need for an enjoyable stay including welcome milk and flowers. Good quality utensils. Very light surroundings and very comfortable beds and plenty of towels. Highly recommend and would definitely return.

"Everything was spot on, well equipped kitchen, good parking, clean rooms."
-
"Exactly as portrayed on the website."
all round good experiance. The site owner or whoever is responsible needs to fill in all the pot holes!

"We stayed in Meadow Lodge for quite a few weeks while our new build house was being finished and we were so glad we picked there to stay."
The lodge was great, well equipped and with lovely views. There are fabulous walks into Newton Ferrers/ Noss Mayo and there is also the South West Coastal path. It is a very relaxing area to be in. The hosts, Helen and Steve, were wonderful, very approachable and supportive! Would definitely recommend.
Thank you very much for such a lovely review. You were very easy clients and we wish you all the best in your new home. Property Owner

"We stayed 5nights working for openreach would deffo return to meadow lodge"
-
"We loved the lodge which was very clean the only 2 issues we had was the bed in the main bedroom with en-suite was really uncomfortable we rolled to the middle and the whole wooden frame creaked everytime one of us moved."
The beds in other rooms the mattresses were not great either. Nothing to do with lodge but we were woken at 8am on Monday morning with gardeners stood outside the bedroom wind chatting then started a chainsaw which was on and off for 2 hours we would have liked a lie in being away.
Thank you very much for your feedback, it is all helpful whether good or bad. As you are the second client to flag up the master bedroom mattress, we have replaced it ( and tightened up the bed frame). Hopefully, you might come and try it for yourselves another time! Property Owner

"Exactly what we wanted, spotlessly clean and plenty of equipment."
TV worked well good picture and good size screen. The two beds we used were comfy. Being able to park close to the lodge and having it all on one level is perfect as we are now in our 70s. Site was quiet which is perfect for this September break.
Thank you very much for your feedback. I’m sorry the lodge was not up to our usual standard and hope it didn’t detract too much from your enjoyment of your holiday. If you come again, please alert us to any issues when noticed as we are happy to arrange for them to be rectified immediately. All the issues are being sorted at the turnover. Property Owner

"We loved our stay at Meadow Lodge."
It was bright, airy, clean & well-equipped, & we were very comfortable there. The location was very convenient, both for accessing the local facilities & also for exploring the wider area - we will definitely be back.
-
"Yet another wonderful stay looking forward to next year"
-
"The Lodge was lovely, spotless and the gift of flowers, milk and cookies when we arrived was a lovely touch."
Everything was just what we needed, the only drawback was the mattress in the master bedroom. The bed creaked everytime we moved, the mattress was very uncomfortable and needs looking at. That is the only criticism we have, as overall it was a very comfortable lodge. The site was very quiet, and not too big. It was easy to dispose of rubbish, the washer dryer was great. We did not use the dishwasher as we ate most of our meals out.
Thank you for bringing the mattress to our attention. It hasn’t been mentioned before and we will check it thoroughly at the next change over for any obvious issues. The frame may need the bolts tightening too. Property Owner

"Clean, comfortable lodge, finished to a very high standard, we very much enjoyed our week at Meadow Lodge, exploring the lovely surrounding countryside and visiting local tourist attractions."
Throughly recommended.
-
"Great location and very clean and comfortable, we enjoyed our stay but the unmade road leading to the lodge had some large potholes."
-

"I would highly recommend this property."
It was spacious, clean, comfortable and extremely well stocked with all kitchen utensils, plates etc. The patio furniture was lovely and the location and aspect was wonderful.
-
"Meadow Lodge is located in a lovely location and has everything one would require."
It is kept very clean and tidy, plus being well equipped and tastefully fitted out. Having booked holiday accommodation for over two decades, Meadow Lodge would be in our favourite top six. The only very slightly disappointing issue is that the Lodge is in a complex that has private refuse collection and there is no recycling undertaken.
-
"Wonderful property, so well equipped, really comfy and spotlessly clean."
We had a superb week in Newton Ferres, a beautiful village with all you need, very close to the lodge. The lodge has everything you need, probably the best equipped holiday house I have ever stayed in. 100% recommend and and will definitely book again. Owner leaves you in peace but at the end of the phone if needed and super helpful.
-
"Meadow Lodge is all that you could wish for, it is extremely clean, comfortable and well equipped."
The location is excellent, quiet, with terrific views, there are a couple of really good beaches within an half hour drive, with good car parks. I would highly recommend this property for a great holiday experience.
-
"The lodge was really great and did everything it said on the tin."
Only downside was as you came on site there was a building site on the right it just makes your heart sink on arrival but it wasn't at all noisy but all in all it was a great holiday. Thankyou
-
"A very comfortable and attractive property."
There were also some very nice and unexpected welcoming touches, I particularly appreciated the roses.
-
"Very well equipped, extremely clean."
Had a great stay. Would stay again. Although we took the rubbish we weren't sure about recycling.
Thank you for your positive review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and would love to have you come again. I’m afraid there is no recycling available as it is a commercial waste service from Briar Hill. Glass recycling is possible by the tennis courts in Noss Mayo or adjacent to Ben’s farm shop. "What a beautiful and relaxing place."
It had everything you would need and more and introduced us to a new game - bananagrams! We totally switched off here and what a stunning location Newton Ferrers is. We were so sad to have to leave and can’t wait to return as soon as possible. Thank you!
-
"Clean, comfortable and well equipped lodge with lovely views across the valley."
Well furnished south facing deck. Convenient to local village and facilities.Recommend
-
"A beautiful, peaceful and comfortable lodge, with stunning views of the village and the surrounding valley."
Great facilities within the cabin, including a big, luxurious bath and comfortable outdoor table, chairs and loungers. The local village offers a delicatessen/cafe where you can get a great cup of coffee alongside freshly prepared snacks, sandwiches, salads & pies as well as a wide range of organic store cupboard items. A stunning part of the world within easy reach of Plymouth and the surrounding area. Highly recommenced.

About the location
NEWTON FERRERS
Plymouth 8 miles.
A tranquil, picturesque village in the South Hams area of Devon, on a bend of the River Yealm leading up from the South Devon coast (1 mile). The perfect haven for sailors, for those who love messing about near water and for those who appreciate stunning and civilised countryside. There is a local butcher, chemist, post office and grocer in Newton Ferrers and an organic farm shop just two miles away. The village pub, with fantastic views across the water towards Noss Mayo and the creek, serves good food and drink. The area is blessed with many walks that meander along the waterside and across the fields, while to the north Dartmoor's high tors and open spaces beckon those who love wild country. The city of Plymouth with its shops, Marine Aquarium and Barbican quayside area is just 8 miles away while beautiful Totnes with its 'alternative' view on life is a must. If the beach rather than boats is what you seek, you won't do better than the beautiful sands at Mothecombe and Bigbury just a few miles down the road. Both are accessible by road or boat from Newton Ferrers. There are a number of excellent golf courses nearby.
