"A lovely stay."
A comfortable clean house. Warm and nicely decorated. Such an easy walk to local shops. A fairly quiet street and great star gazing in the garden. Booked again already!
Dear Dee, We are glad you enjoyed your stay and thank you for the positive feedback, we look forward to welcoming you back next year. Regards David & Stella Property Owner

"The garden was unkempt with the grass over grown and plants left to go wild."
The cushions for the garden furniture was locked in a garden box but no key was available. The script suggests having dinner ‘al fresco’ however the furniture was not suitable for a meal, being so low, coffee table. There were 5 black bin liners full of rubbish, empty bottles & cardboard box from previous visitors outside back door. There were no manuals for any of the machines/equipment - the coffee machine didn’t work. Only one toilet roll was left at the property. Reviews in the Visitor Book mentioned a Welcome Pack but there was nothing for us. Parking was difficult - we only managed to park once outside Daisy Cottage…..overall we were disappointed.
Dear Robert, we are very sorry you had such a bad experience. Thank you for bringing the rubbish to our attention, this along with the welcome pack and toilet rolls are handled by our cleaning company and I will be discussing what went wrong. On the garden we were aware of this and have recently converted the grass to astroturf and tidied it up so that should be much improved. I will update the welcome information to include the location of the key for the cushion box. Once again our apologies for the bad experience David & Stella Property Owner

"Generally a lovely house."
I've been a bit harsh on cleanliness perhaps, I think we suffered a quite specific and rather unfortunate issue related to the previous tenants... Generally the house was clean.
Hi, Glad you enjoyed your stay and felt it was good overall, if you wouldn't mind sending more details of the cleanliness issue to the email address we sent the welcome pack from we will speak to our cleaning firm about it. Regards David Property Owner

"We really enjoyed our stay at Daisy Cottage."
It was very spacious, very clean, well equipped and furnished to a high standard. It's really well located, being in walking distance of the town and very close to the Tarka Trail with other nice places a short drive away. We particularly enjoyed our walk down river to Appledore.
Dear Mr Reece, thank you for your kind feedback, we are glad you enjoyed your stay and we agree with you that the riverside walk up to Appledore is very enjoyable. We hope to see you again soon David & Stella Property Owner

"A very comfortable and convenient home in Bideford in a quiet location."
You can tell a lot of care and thought has gone into making this an ideal holiday home for visitors. Lovely close walks for our dog and he loved staying there. We really appreciated the thoughtfulness of supplies left to enjoy. We will definitely stay again when visiting family in the area in the future. A short housekeeping and local area guide may help next tenants in their stay and staying/ leaving the property. Please note: the radiators may need bleeding as they were gurgling quite loud.
Dear Natalie, Thank you for your kind feedback, we are glad you and your dog enjoyed your stay. We will update the welcome pack further to hopefully cover more useful information and thank you for the tip on the radiators, we will bleed them on our next Maintenance visit. Regards David & Stella Property Owner
