"The Cider House is first class and in a great rural location from where it’s easy to explore Cornwall and with the Devon border a short drive away you’re well placed to explore both."
Jenna and Nick have ensured that you have all you will need in a very well presented house. There are some excellent options for eating out within a short drive with Jenna and Nick’s recommendations. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Cider House to anyone considering a visit to Cornwall.

The cider house is a beautiful place and has been laid out perfectly. The cider house is short of nothing, everything you could need is provided including an iron and ironing board, hair dryer, washing machine, dishwasher etc. The location is ideal for day excursions into Cornwall or even into Devon, we would definitely recommend it to anyone for a holiday of any length.

The property
Nestled on the rural outskirts of Landrake, a village just a short drive from Saltash in Cornwall, lies the delightful, two-bedroom holiday home: The Cider House.
Featuring private parking for two cars, a private garden and a well-presented interior, this charming abode makes a perfect base for a family or group of four seeking a relaxing, self-catered stay near the magnificent setting of the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Park up and ascend the shallow stone steps to your lovely new home.
Step through the front door to discover a bright, airy interior, housing a range of tastefully-designed living areas including an open-plan split level living space with a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining table, a plush sitting area with a Smart TV and glazed doors leading to your very own balcony, which comes with outdoor furniture, a barbecue and far-reaching rural views.
The Cider House is set in 21 acres of private land situated next to the owners home.
Guests have their own private enclosed garden with fire pit and seating which is adjacent to the parking area but isn't accessed directly from the house.
You are welcome to enjoy the surrounding fields and woodland, and can walk down to the river where you will find the 'quay' area - an idyllic spot for a family picnic or to spot the abundance wildlife and birds. When the sun has set, be sure to refresh with a revitalising shower before you head to catch your rest in either an inviting king-size on the ground floor or the first floor twin bedroom (which is accessed via the open-tread, carpeted staircase). The king-size room even features its own cosy sitting area and vaulted ceiling.
If you can tear yourself away from your fabulous new dwelling, head outside to explore what your local area has to offer.
A brief drive will bring you to cliff top walks, sheltered coves and a number of beaches, as well as the tranquil stretch of the River Tiddy.
You can also stop into Landrake village, where a post office offers homely essentials to supply your stay, whilst in the opposite direction the dining options of the Rod & Line and Heskyn Mill await on those evenings when you fancy a break from cooking.
For a full day out, make the car journey into Saltash to spend time ambling through Longstone Park or along the Saltash Waterside, before you cross the Tamar Bridge into Plymouth, a port city home to the National Marine Aquarium, the greens of Hoe Park, the pristine Elizabethan Gardens, and the historic landmark of Drake's Island.
You can also hop on board a ferry to visit the Mount Edgcumbe House and Country Park, which lies just across the Tamar in neighbouring Cremyll.
For an unforgettable stay in Cornwall, look no further than The Cider House.
Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £150.
