The property

In Ringmore, with long views down the valley to the sea and not far from the beautiful town of Salcombe, is Bramble Cottage, which forms part of an attractive, sunny courtyard of converted stone barns.

It is a neat and cosy base for families or couples to enjoy seaside fun, walking or peace and quiet.

Head on into the big kitchen with its dining table, then through to the sitting room with traditional beams with a Smart TV/DVD.

Stairs take you up to the two lofty bedrooms, where you will find the sea view from the double (king size bed), sharing the family bathroom.

Outside there is a small walled patio area.

When you don't feel like cooking, you have a brilliant pub with tempting menu in the village, or treat yourselves to the excellent seafood restaurant a couple of miles away.

Your days will be easily filled with hours on the beach at Ayrmer Cove, Challaborough or Bigbury-on-Sea, making sandcastles, surfing or maybe taking the sea tractor to Burgh Island.

For walkers, this is a wonderful coast with the beautiful South West Coast Path, just a short walk from the property, and the pretty Erme estuary to explore.

Bramble Cottage is a brilliant place for enjoying the great outdoors.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.

Where you’ll be staying

RINGMORE

Bigbury-on-Sea 3 miles; Kingsbridge 7 miles; Salcombe 11 miles; Plymouth 15.5 miles.

Ringmore is a small village in Devon, in the South Devon AONB, one mile from the secluded beach and stunning cliffs of Bigbury Bay.
The Saxon church of All Hallows stands majestically over this quintessentially English village. Ringmore is a conservation village with thatched cottages, a peaceful rural pace of life & an award winning pub, the Journey's End Inn serving cask ales, local produce and a friendly welcome. A comprehensively stocked shop and Post Office is located in St Anne's Chapel, a short drive away and they are happy to deliver. Three different paths lead down to Ayrmer Cove from the village, and connect with the South West Coast Path. Footpaths lead to Challaborough Bay and to the golden sandy beaches of Bigbury-on-Sea, from which Burgh Island is reached by the famous Sea Tractor. Bigbury-on-Sea beach is ideal for family holidays. Everyone is sure to marvel at the huge expanse of sand, enjoy exploring the rock pools, or sample the varied watersports available to the more active visitors. If you want to try something different from the body boarding or surfing, then windsurfing and kite-surfing are gaining popularity here, with hire facilities located right on the beach. For peace of mind, there are lifeguards present at Bigbury-on-Sea’s Blue Flag beach from May to September, and a fabulous café specialising in selling organic and local food; whose surf ‘n’ turf is one of the best in the area. A few miles from Ringmore are plenty of delightful South Hams villages, coastal beauty spots and the traditional English market town of Kingbridge on the estuary.
