"Lovely location and the cottage could be great but is in dire need of basic maintenance."
The bathroom leak is like a Little Venice and the hob rings are still not working properly. All these faults have been reported before and still not rectified . It’s a pity to see such a nice place deteriorating so much . I used Lyme bay holiday before and am a little surprised that these faults have not been corrected or a least listed . It’s your reputation that being questioned Regards martyn and Julia
Hi Martyn My name is Mark and I’m the owner of 2 home farm south. First of all, all feedback is welcome no matter how distressing. I’m sorry we didn’t meet your expectations. All previous issues with the shower were addressed by putting in a new shower. However that has clearly caused a new problem with the flooding. The other issues we weren’t aware of. Please accept my apologises. I hope you were still able to enjoy your break. Kind regards Mark Property Owner

"This was an exceptional location on a gorgeous private estate with access to the coastal path."
The beds were very comfortable and kitchen was well equipped. Our dog is not an escape artist so loved lying on the grass in the sun whilst the patio doors were open. Suggested improvements: the bathroom is due an upgrade and there seemed to be a leak from under the bath. Two of the cooker hobs did not work at all / properly

"It was a lovely midweek break with our dog Everything we need was there and it was lovely and warm in the evening."
The location was great although very dark at night when doing the last walk of the night, although the night sky was wonderful!

"We had a lovely 4 days in the converted barn."
Plenty of space for the 2 of us and our dog. Clean and tidy and plenty of equipment in the kitchen with an open plan lounge. Rousdon is a wonderful Estate which is quiet and relaxing. Lots of places to visit nearby too. Visited a few different beaches all only a few miles away. Lots of lovely walks to take our dog too.

"Lovely place to stay."
Really enjoyed our break.

"We had a good stay but it could have been great."
Some small fixes would have made the difference. E.g. blackout blinds, a gate in the garden so the dog couldn't escape onto the road. More accuracyand clarity in the provided folder of info - we couldn't work out what to do with the bins and how on earth do you access the coast!

"We really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the Rousdon Estate."
Some lovely walks with wild flowers and bird song. A totally relaxing week.
-
"Fantastic property in beautiful location."
The property was very clean and comfortable and fly equipped. One comment was that it was listed as having a secure garden for dogs, this was not the case as there was an open entrance from the road and low fence, however not really a problem as our dogs were kept on leads.

"Super cottage and glorious weather in beautiful location!"
Maybe think about the microwave location as my wife couldn't reach it, also a freezer compartment would've been nice considering the heatwave. However, these relatively minor points certainly didn't spoil our thoroughly relaxing break - thank you!

"Lovely property and we enjoyed our 3rd stay on the Rousdon Estate in different properties."
There were a few things that we think could be looked at: the microwave! It is inside a cupboard so high up you cannot possibly use this safely when getting hot liquid out. The front door does not lock well from the inside. There is no storage in the 1st bedroom, a chest would be good. A full mirror in the hall would be useful as the bathroom one is quite high for shorter people. These are small points and just our opinion, we very much appreciated being able to bring our dog and enjoyed our comfortable stay. Thanks

"Very well equipped and comfortable, range of kitchen equipment unusually good for a smaller holiday cottage."
Quiet and pleasant location.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our experience of the cottage - truly tranquil."
We loved the setting and the location was ideal for enjoying that part of Dorset/Devon. Our experience of booking with Lyme Bay Holidays was excellent. We have booked through the company before and knew how good the service was. We would happily book the cottage and book through the company again. We would have no hesitation in recommending both the cottage and the company.

"Lovely spacious cottage and extremely clean and well equipped."
The cottage was in a fabulous location. The only small problem is that there was a heavy doggy smell. Perhaps throws could be put across the sofas and washed when occupants leave ?
