"Stunning little cottage fantastic location a tad dated but had a lovely time"
-
"Nice clean property with outside drying facilities that were really useful for anyone who is planning on spending some time on the water whilst there."
The property is in a great location right in the heart of the town at water level, so flat for those who struggle with hills, of which there are plenty around Salcombe.

"Brilliant location, great for a few days though not the most comfortable sitting room if we had been staying longer in bad weather."
Being at the far end of the row was great from a noise and privacy point of view but does mean the cottage is quite dark - can't be helped, just something to be aware of. Also would have been good to have some pegs for the washing line, we couldn't find any! Loved the photos on the walls. Parking in the longstay with the permit was easy (over a weekend in early July).

"Beautifully cared for cottage"

"The property was very nice and clean."
I was very happy to see the number of items that were available to use within the Kitchen, as this made our stay much easier. I was also happy to see the number of cleaning products available in the property that are often not available in other properties. Would be very happy to stay here again.

"We both loved our stay at 33 Island Street, and particularly the character and cosy furnishings of the cottage."
Also a well designed kitchen, well equipped (though no microwave), and with excellent wifi & TV reception, and easy central heating. Upstairs is tasteful and carefully furnished in character - my sole complaint was the hardness of the mattress in the main bedroom, which affected my sleeping. The twin bedroom was fine. The bathroom is compact but effective, with all you need. (But the hot tap on the bath seemed was fixed to off for the hand held shower.). I managed the steep indoor stairs (as an over-70) as it has an effective handrail. There is no garden - not expected in such as authentic cottage. Location: very handy for the waterfront walks, eateries, the Salcombe Dairy and town services. Also near the Co-op supermarket, which is great for food shopping, and the main bus stop for rides to Kingsbridge and beyond. Plus good, friendly service from Coast & Country Cottages.

"Wonderful quaint accommodation."
Perfectly situated for harbour and town. Nothing to do with the booking but sadly, it seemed that Salcombe hospitality had disappeared. Lots of establishments were closed or on limited opening times. This can't be foreseen.....but what can be done is that the staff that are working could have been a bit more polite......but again, nothing to do with the booking. I would love to return to Salcombe but need a lot of reassurance that the restaurants and bars could cope with the demand and, according to our friends it wasn't that busy compared to previous years.

"Everything was excellent with the property and area, would certainly go back there again."

"The ideal holiday cottage for a couple or small family."
Really enjoyed our week.

"My main problem was that on arrival we had no instructions where to pick keys up and where to park the car."
And after a six hour drive we eventually got keys and instructions where to park to then wait another 30 minutes until a space came available. Other than that it was a fantastic holiday and the accommodation was what it said.
