Super holiday Thanks Please ask the property managers to paint the flagpole outside the window and replace the tatty flags

The flag pole has already been flagged up as in need of replacement or removal with the property manager, hopefully for action over the coming winter period. Property Owner

The apartment was well equipped and the bed was so comfortable for a pull down bed. The view was lovely to wake up to in a morning and I could just sit all day watching the activities going on in the harbour. Will definitely book again.

  • "Our 4th time at The Salcombe apartments & our 2nd time at Number 34."

It’s very well positioned, you have your own car parking space ( a premium in Salcombe) and access to a shared heated swimming pool. Number 34 has a large balcony which faces east, so great for sunny breakfasts. There was a fold down bed & as there were only two of us we left it down all the time. There is a laundry on site, which we didn’t use. We missed a dishwasher in the apartment, but we were impressed with the refurbishment that had been done since our last visit. P.S. A new mattress is needed please!

Many thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are thrilled to hear you love The Salcombe Apartments, especially Number 34, the view from the balcony really is something special. We were surprised to read your comment on the mattress as this was new in 2021, however the owner has provided a new mattress topper. We have not had a comment of this nature in the past, that being said they are very much down to personal taste. We do hope that we can welcome back to Salcombe and Number 34 in the not too distant future. Property Owner

  • "The studio apartment was clean, well equipped comfortable and really nicely decorated with a good sized balcony getting the morning sun/early afternoon sun."

The location was excellent beautiful views across the estuary. There was lovely clothing shops an excellent butchers and bakers close by. A short ferry ride to take you to beaches was at the bottom of the garden. The pool was lovely and and the garden was well kept. It would be nice to have sun loungers available in store room and a drainer for kitchen sink as no dishwasher. Also to give guests 2 sets of keys on arrival we had to go back for 2nd set. Highly recommend as a great holiday location and apartment.

Many thanks for your feedback. We are so pleased you loved the apartment, the view from the balcony really is beautiful. We are pleased to report that there is now a drainer in the kitchen and the owner has purchased new balcony furniture. We do hope to welcome you back to Salcombe in the near future. Property Owner

It is well appointed and very clean. Great views over the harbour from the balcony. It has recently been refurbished. We were not aware the laundry room was shared and there was a cost to washing and drying . However it was clean and functional. Would stay there again.

Many thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are thrilled you loved the property, it really does have incredible views. We can only apologise that you were not aware of the laundry set up, communal washing machine and dryers are noted in the apartment’s description on the website, however we thank you for pointing out that it fails to mention that coins are required to operate them & the website has now been updated to reflect this. We do hope we can welcome you back to Salcombe soon. Property Owner

  • "A fantastic location with spectacular views."

The apartment is very clean. I did feel upon arrival that it needs decorating. It’s looking tired. The bathroom is lovely, new and modern and has lots of storage. Although the kitchen is very nice , it does need all new kitchen utensils , pots and pans , cutlery , mugs and dinner set etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our week , weather was fantastic which meant we were able to eat and relax on the balcony every day. Overall a nice apartment for 2 people just needs some updating.

Many thanks for leaving your feedback. We are thrilled you loved the location of the property, the views really are special. Many thanks for your comments on the overall appearance of the property, having spoken with the owner, the apartment is booked to have a major redecoration next month once the season has ended. Unfortunately last winter the decorator ran out of available time to do this and had to postpone his time slot to November 2022. Replacing the kitchen items is also on the refurbishment list. We are so pleased you enjoyed your week and do hope we can welcome you back soon. Property Owner

A privacy screen between the balconies would have been nice but that didn’t detract from the enjoyment. I know the owner had replaced the mattress recently making the bed very comfortable, this was much appreciated. The apartment had everything that we needed with a super shower. We ate out every day in Salcombe all the pubs and restaurants serving wonderful food , our least favourite being the Harbour Hotel and our favourite being the Crab Shed. Like everyone else it would have been much better to collect and return the keys from reception at the apartments rather than fight with traffic and parking at Coast and Country . Surely there could be some liaison between them regarding this? Overall fantastic break in a beautiful part of our country.

Many thanks for taking the time to leave your lovely feedback. We are thrilled you loved the apartment and the area. Thank you for your comments regarding the keys, we would prefer to meet as many of our guests as possible and give them our direct contact details should they be needed during their holiday. • "Excellent accommodation."

Lovely studio with fantastic view. We were lucky enough to have good weather so could also enjoy using the balcony which was bigger than expected. Good kitchen facilities. Plenty of cooking utensils. Bathroom very clean, super shower and lovely fluffy towels. There wasn’t anywhere to plug in my hairdryer near to a mirror so I had to buy an extension lead. Comfortable bed and so easy to get down and put away, much easier than a sofa bed. We didn’t bother getting the car out all week as the little ferries were so near and it was easy to walk everywhere from the apartment. Eating out was a bit limited due to places having staffing shortages and therefore not open every day hopefully that will improve with time. Overall an excellent stay which we would recommend.

We’d like to thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We were really pleased to read that you found the apartment comfortable and that it provided you with everything you required for your stay. Following your comments regarding using a hairdryer the owner has now installed an additional mirror which is closer to a socket so a hairdryer/straighteners can be used in front of the mirror. We were sorry to read that you had some difficulty with booking restaurants during your stay. Unfortunately, the hospitality industry saw a high number of covid cases during the summer which meant they did not have the capacity to meet demand, we can only apologise for these circumstances and hope that you were still able to thoroughly enjoy Salcombe and the stunning views on offer. • "The apartments location is it’s best feature."

It’s in the centre of Salcombe with fantastic views and the balcony was lovely to sit out on. Very near the where you could pick up the boat for the beach. We were lucky enough to have a heatwave so we rarely used the car. The mattress was fine for us (others have said it wasn’t) kitchen area and general decor is a tad dated. A coffee table would have been nice inside. Check in and out were fine with parking easy - even though we were in July. Pool area lovely and clean. Would go back.

Thank you so much for your feedback, we agree this apartment is located in a fabulous position in Salcombe and really happy to hear you had a lovely time. The owner has now replaced the mattress with a New Royal Sovereign Mattress and a stylish Coffee Table has been added to the lounge. We do hope to see you return to Salcombe soon. Property Owner

Creaking floorboards from above a nuisance at night!

Many thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback, The Salcombe apartments, as a building do not allow parasols. This is due to the position of the building being on the water front were the wind can be unpredictable. We have passed your feedback onto the owner and she is now looking to get a coffee table for the lounge. • "Had a lovely holiday."

Nice new bathroom in the apartment. The kitchen was also very nice, clean and had everything we needed. The rest of the apartment could do with a bit of updating, although it was all very clean and tidy. The only thing that wasn’t that great was the bed…. I thought it was reasonably comfortable, although my partner found it uncomfortable and said it gave him a bad back. Also, there was no headboard, due to the nature of the pull-down design. This meant the pillows kept falling off, down the back of the bed. The balcony was lovely, nice size with comfortable seats and gorgeous views. The communal gardens were also a great place to chill out in the sun. We would return, especially if the bed was improved. Maybe a mattress topper would make it more comfortable.

With its magnificent estuary views, this studio apartment, with it's good sized balcony is perfect for couples seeking a base to call home as they enjoy a traditional Devon holiday, with the added benefit of an outdoor heated swimming pool to soak up the summer sunshine and a private mooring on the pontoon.

Head up to the third-floor and enter into the open-plan living space, where you will find a well-equipped kitchen and a large fridge with ice box included and all the appliances required to whip up home-cooked meals and a charming dining space for you to enjoy each other’s company, whilst savouring a glass of wine and tucking into your dish.

Joining the space is the cosy sitting area, with a plush sofa waiting for you to sink into, positioned for enjoying the unsurpassed estuary views or flicking through the channels of the TV.

Once the sun has set over the harbour, look forward to retiring for the evening by pulling down the double bed and snuggling under the sheets; the apartment comes with an additional single sofa bed, should you wish to bring another guest along with you (by request).

The highlight of the studio accommodation is the private but spacious corner balcony, where you can enjoy a spot of alfresco dining with the soundtrack and backdrop of Salcombe’s spectacular waterfront vista to admire.

There are also communal gardens with an outdoor heated swimming pool, a great place to soak up the sunshine during the Summer months.

The private pontoon is accessed through the front of the garden and the slipway through the lower car park.

Just paces away from the property are a plethora of places to eat and drink, with some restaurants serving freshly caught seafood for those special occasions and cosy pubs for those more casual evenings.

Explore the estuary before uncovering the town’s past by visiting the maritime museum or heading to the nearby beaches of North Sands and South Sands.
