"Hi, first off, we loved the stay, the grounds and pool were amazing and having the mooring so close to the accommodation made it so easy to use the small boat I have."
The storage area was a god send to put away all fishing rods etc. However, having the toilet entrance off the kitchen seemed a little odd and also having the spare room separate from the main accommodation, made it difficult to use. We would come back to 37 The Salcombe again as the view of the estuary is second to none. It is rather like having a large telly screen with something to watch at all times. Keith

"Thank you very much for sharing your beautiful apartment."
The location is the best in the world! My father & I sailed in the Club Regatta for many years in the 70’s & 80’s & often used The Salcombe as our base. This was the first year we have come to the Town Regatta and the positioning to watch the fireworks was the best we could have asked for. We even joined in the light extravaganza & put LED lights on the balcony. The apartment is perfectly situated & presented with all the accoutrements necessary for a perfect stay. We wanted for nothing as it was so well equipped. 3 small points which could be considered: 1. Recommend double or triple glazing on the Fore Street side (or suggest ear plugs to guests) as the noise from people on the street was not compatible with sleep until after approx 2am 2. Both my father & I found the sofas rather messed with our backs as were low and soft. 3. To cater for 6 (we only had 4) the fridge could do with being a tad bigger as you can’t get 2 litres of milk in there without using up half the fridge space. (These are not meant as criticisms as we managed ok but more ideas to make it 10/10) The apartment was truly delightful and we enjoyed our stay immensely. You have wonderful taste! Thank you

"I understood the 2nd bedroom was across the corridor."
As it is completely separate I think it should have additional facilities like a kettle/cups and a TV. The 2nd bedroom is close to the pub and fronting Fore St and consequently very noisy. I think this should be pointed out. As it is very expensive I think the least you could expect is shower gel and shampoo. The majority of good quality self catering properties also include a welcome pack. We arrived late and there was nowhere to get milk/ bottled water etc. Overall the main apartment was clean and comfortable with lovely interior decor and a great size balcony overlooking the estuary with stunning views.

Comfortable and great views.

"A great holiday let, great location, every need catered for, comfy bed, enjoyed the large TV, spectacular views, enjoyed the balcony and its amenities."
This is our second visit, will definitely book No. 37 again.

"A beautiful apartment with spectacular views and the added bonus of a parking space."
It has a separate bedroom with an en suite down the corridor which we didn't use but would be ideal for 2 couples sharing as they would each have their own privacy. We loved using the pool everyday which was heated and the surrounding gardens are beautiful to sit in and take in the stunning views. The apartment is right next to a lovely little town with beautiful shops eateries and pubs. This accommodation had everything we needed for a wonderful stay and highly recommend it. Only negative was leaving. We will definitely return.

"The real problem with this apartment is the layout."
It wasn’t highlighted enough that the rooms were split and so created quite a disappointment when we arrived. Other than that, the location is amazing
Many thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are thrilled you loved the location of the property; it really does have stunning views. We are sorry you felt the layout was not highlighted enough, however there is note that popS up at the time of booking to inform you that one of the bedrooms is separate. The living and dining area is open planned, providing a lovely social space. We do hope that we can welcome you back to Salcombe soon. Property Owner

"The apartment was lacking in the kitchen far too small as it was meant to be for four adults and two children."
There was only two adults and we found it very small can’t imagine what it would have been like if their had been more of us, the toilet opened straight into the kitchen which was unacceptable, and would have been a disaster had there been more than Husband and Wife staying there.it did make us wonder if Sykes cottages had looked at the apartment before advertising it on their site.
Thank you for leaving your feedback. Please be rest assured we visit all our properties before we market them. 37 The Salcombe have had many bookings at full occupancy, and it is very rare we have any complaints with regards to the size of the apartment. We are sorry you felt it too small, we do hope you were pleased with the convenience of its central location and enjoyed it’s wonderful views. Property Owner

"While the apartment was lovely, the second bedroom being down the hallway needing a second key was not convenient."
It took several phone calls and several days to obtain the second key. The description says there is no Wi-fi in the apartment but when we arrived there was a good signal. It took several phone calls to obtain the password and it worked perfectly, including on the smart tv. All the info in the apartment was generic with no specific information like where to put the rubbish etc.
Thank you for leaving feedback. We are happy that you liked the apartment but can only apologise that you were not given the key for second bedroom, this is usually given out on arrival with the other keys. The property does indeed have Wi-Fi and the information is now in the property, again we apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. We do hope you had a lovely stay despite this matter and enjoyed all Salcombe has to offer. Property Owner

"Utterly attrocious customer service."
Had power company all day cut planned, a plumber visit one day and then he turned up the next day without the PPE Sykes assured us he would have. Mixed up and rude communications from Sykes and another random local agent. Truly poor company. Nice apartment just poorly managed.
We are extremely disappointed to receive such poor feedback regarding our customer service and communication, and have contacted you directly to apologise. We do hope that you enjoyed your time in Salcombe. Property Owner
