  • "On arrival I noticed the blind was not up at the window, I called Coast & Country to come they said they would come on Monday which they didn’t come for the whole week."

The fridge was dirty with a spillage, the coffee machine was very dirty in the milk frother, and I noticed it was dusty on the bedroom lights. The cleanliness was disappointing as I feel it wasn’t cleaned properly, which is a shame as the property is beautiful but needs to be cleaned better.

Many thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback. We can only apologise for the miss communication regarding the blinds, we will investigate why this was not addressed during your stay. We are surprised at the cleanliness comments as we have not had these in the past. We have passed them onto the cleaner to ensure these bits are addressed and do not occur again. We hope you had a wonderful stay and enjoyed all Salcombe has to offer. Property Owner

  • "We were aware in advance of the main window being fogged up."

Fortunately the very warm weather allowed us to have the adjoining door open and use the balcony to sit out and take in the fabulous views. Although the balcony area itself does need a good clean up. The kitchen bin from the previous guests had not been emptied and as previously highlighted the entrance hallway needs a new light bulb and the parked car belonging to the other property made access with luggage and shopping difficult. We only used the main bedroom which was very comfortable and en-suite which was very clean. The kitchen was well equipped. As mentioned the plus point for the property is the view over Salcombe.

  • "The apartment was great and well equipped."

We were already aware about the issues with the picture in window in the lounge . Very disappointed about rubbish situation at the property though , the outside bin was full when we arrived and despite two calls to Sykes during our stay it remained full with no action taken meaning a weeks worth of rubbish had to be left in the property and we left it in the kitchen on our departure, not great.

The view from the balcony and sitting room is one of the best in Salcombe. Our family has been coming to Higher Cliftonville for 26 years and it never fails to delight. Highly recommended!!

  • "The apartment was as described and was clean and tidy."

Just a few points to make: Roses in the vase were completely dead when we arrived indicating that the property hadn't been checked for days. Only two loo rolls - one in each bathroom were not enough for a week's stay. Only two dishwasher tablets for a whole week. No oven gloves - had to take things out of the oven with tea towels. No light in ground floor hall so pitch black when opening the apartment door. Car parked in space in front of front door made it difficult to enter with shopping. Broken blind in balcony window. Main window permanently fogged up.

Very small points:- 3 toilet roles insufficient for 6 people 7 days. 2 light bulbs not working, no replacements. need a larger waste bin

  • "Entrance door lighting not working."

Pillows in master bedroom uncomfortable.Other than this, the property was excellent. We stayed Christmas week. The property was very well decorated with a beautiful tree.We also had a good quality hamper which was well received.Had a great week.Wouldn’t use the property again because of our little dog and the stairs.Having said that if you are ok with the stairs I would highly recommend the property. • "Couldn’t ask for anything more in this brilliantly equipped and comfortable apartment."

The views were spectacular, very good bathrooms with great showers and comfortable beds. We have been coming to Salcombe and other properties for over 20 years but would definitely stay here again . Finally spectacular views from the balcony. (The cleaning of the en suite bathroom couldn’t have been better, the Hotel inspector wouldn’t have been impressed ! )
