"Wonderful property, all you need to take is your food and clothes."
Easy access to all the facilities of Teignmouth. Parking permit from Teignbridge Council is easy to obtain online and saves worry about finding change for parking.

"Samphire was perfectly positioned, just a 2 minute walk from the seafront and the town."
Extremely clean and well equipped. Very comfortable bed. Unfortunately the settee was very uncomfortable for us. It was very low backed and firm. Due to the very wet weather we spent quite a lot of time in the flat reading. We used spare pillows to try and make it more comfortable. A real shame as we would book Samphire again except for the settee.

"Nice apartment in a great location."
Lounge furniture was low backed and very uncomfortable. Dog hairs on sofa. Hoover was supposed to be available in laundry room but was never there. Also, no brush or mop available. With different sofa and available cleaning equipment it would be ideal.

"Excellent apartment, good situation within the town (close to beach and shops)."
Weekly car park worked very well, but we had to move the car every 24 hours because of Teignbridge Council restrictions which could have been explained.
We would stay again except that the sitting room furniture was so uncomfortable, with low backs, that I was forced to use the upright dining room chairs for most of the week. Other than that the apartment was quite delightful and I would recommend it for younger people. If the sitting room furniture was improved we would be back in a trice.

The addition of curtains in the living room may have made it a bit more cosy and also reduce the heating bills. Earlier check in and later check out would also have been welcomed even if it was just by 30 minutes as it was getting quite dark when we arrived but we did know the times before we booked so not a problem.

"Lovely property in an excellent location."
Modern decor, very comfortable bed, very well equipped kitchen, spacious living area, separate area for coats and boots etc. Perfectly located for both beaches and the town centre.
It was so lovely and exactly what we were looking for that we rebooked another stay while we were there. Would not hesitate to recommend.

"Absolutely no negative feedback at all except one small thing."
There wasn't a hairdryer provided. Have never stayed in a Sykes Cottage, Airbnb or any hotel before where a hairdryer was not provided. We had to go out and buy a travel one.
Apart from that the apartment was very good and well appointed and ideally placed for shops, restaurants and the beach. Recommend the Trade Winds restaurant and the Ye Old Jolly Sailor for eating out and the Oystercatcher and Relish cafes for breakfast.

"Absolutely amazing property."
Loved it!!! Modern clean just fabulous!! Location superb, Central to everything and a car park across the road. Everything was fab. Only thing I felt was missing was a waste bin in the bathroom. Not a huge problem obviously but I feel that one is needed.

Everything pubs restaurants shops take aways and most important beaches less than 5 minutes walk away. would 100 percent go back .Did not get on street parking but car park was opposite and you could see the car from the property and as we were out till late most days paid very little as free after 6 pm to 9am

"Samphire has been a great home for my wife and I for our weeks holiday in Teignmouth."
The property is immaculate and very well equipped and everything works. The position is brilliant within a few yards of both beaches and perfectly placed for the town centre where the selection of shops covers all needs. All in all very comfortable and Samphire and Teignmouth are gems. We loved both

"Very warm tastefully decorated and furnished."
Very Comfortable bed. An excellent Kitchen with all cutlery and utensils etc. Matching four piece dinnerware including cups, glassware. I would thoroughly recommend property ( renovated 19th century property to a very high standard into four apartments).
The only downside for us because I have a powered wheelchair And My wife has a small mobility scooter. It was problematic having to physically move them in and out. I recommend if you have mobility equipment and drive take a ramp .

"Excellent accommadation very tastefully decorated."
Bed exceptionally comfortable, although we ate out most days the kitchen seemed fully equiped if you wanted to cook. There is a car park opposite the accommadation which you can park for upto4 hours which made it very easy for unloading the car. We bought a car permit for the week and parked in the Quay car park as we didn't want to have to keep going out to move the car. Just across the road through the small car park there were many places to etc, pubs Italian and a very nice Indian..Would highly recommend this accommadation would like to return in the future

"Very well situated and clean apartment."
Unfortunately they're was banging and drilling from around 7am every morning, and foot steps going up and down the stairs regularly, so it wasn't a restful holiday and went home very tired. Parking was also a nightmare.

We have spoken with the owner who states the adjacent property was having some work done recently and had he known of the early starts he would most certainly have spoken with the neighbour.

"The apartment is in a very convenient position and has been refurbished to a very high standard."
The only thing that it lacks is a full length mirror, some coat hooks would be useful in the hallway and the wardrobe didn't facilitate longer garments.
But we would definitely recommend the apartment.

This smart ground floor apartment is located just paces from the beach in the heart of the bustling seaside town of Teignmouth.

TEIGNMOUTH
Dartmoor National Park 12 miles; Torbay 13 miles; Exeter 15 miles.
The historic, seaside town of Teignmouth is situated in South Devon on the mouth of the Teign estuary and boasts a working harbour, sandy beach, Victorian pier, sailing club, diving centre and sea activity centre. The seaward side of the town is known as ‘the Den’ and has elegant Georgian buildings, a large public area with lawns, play areas, tennis courts, a bowling green, and a miniature lighthouse. On the opposite side of Teignmouth are fishing boats and beach huts, plus views of the village of Shaldon and the hills of Dartmoor can be seen. Teignmouth also hosts folk and jazz festivals each year, whilst both the town and Shaldon hold annual carnivals and water regattas. If you decide to venture further afield, there is plenty to see and do close to Teignmouth including; the stunning Dartmoor National Park, the city of Exeter, plus the nearby harbour towns are well worth exploring.
