"We had a really lovely stay at 3 Grove Mews."
The property was very clean, modern and extremely well stocked. It was lovely and warm - right in the centre of Seaton so easy to get provisions. It was a really good size with 3 bedroom and 3 bathrooms. It was a perfect base for exploring East Devon/Dorset for us and our 3 kids. We would highly recommend this property.

"Property was very clean and equipped well but the location is awful."
The front of the property overlooks a supermarket car-park, and a busy restaurant which is uncomfortably close. The view over the top of the restaurant roof consists of run down buildings and a large crane at a construction site for a waterfront development. There is a lot of noise from the restaurant and even more noise from the seagulls who gather on the restaurant roof and carry on throughout the night. It is not enjoyable being outside on any of the seating areas. The allocated parking space is right next to a busy pedestrianised thoroughfare for the supermarket, restaurant and access into town with a constant flow of people walking past. Due to the points mentioned I would not recommend this property.

"This is our 3rd time at the property which we absolutely love."
We even love watching the seagulls and their babies that are nesting in the buildings in front of the property. The only thing that spoilt it a bit this time is the building works on the front promenade which of course the property owners do not have any control over but feel should maybe be mentioned in the description. We love to sit on the balcony or in the lounge area with the doors open early morning but the noisy building works started at 8am continuing throughout the day did spoil the early morning peace and quiet. We also had a bit of difficulty locking the both balcony doors as the handles were quite stiff. I wouldn’t have been able to lock them if my husband hadn’t been there. Having said that we had a lovely week thank you, no doubt we will return, it is the one holiday property I would love to pick-up and transport home to live in myself.
Thank you for your feedback- so lovely to hear you like the property. Our apologies about the building work, we were unaware that this was taking place but will monitor. The doors have been reported to maintenance to look into and resolve. Hope to see you again. The Lyme Bay Team. Property Owner

"Next door to busy restaurant ."
Overlooking car park. Building works nearby. Difficult Access through pedestrian walkway. Would not recommend to anyone especially at the price. seagulls everywhere.

"Property was outstanding."
It was spotless, very comfortable and everything you need and more. Home from home! We picked this cottage for a base as we went out everyday. It's near all the places we wanted to visit.

"The property was lovely, well maintained, very comfortable, and very clean inside."
Only three comments: 1) there is a big building site on the sea front in direct line between the property and the sea; this substantially diminishes the sea view (I imagine the owners may not be happy with the new development!), but while it is a building site, it would be helpful for this to be mentioned on the listing details as it would be important for those with special needs to know in advance; 2) I fully appreciate the difficulty with keeping the outside of a property clean with the number of seagulls present in the area! But the outside space was pretty much unusable because of the amount of bird droppings, not all of which seemed particularly recent. I know it's an inherent hazard of the location, but wonder if slightly more frequent cleans would be possible? 3) the blind for the sun light in the downstairs back bedroom does not fully close. It stops well short of the end of the run, and so it is not possible to keep light out in the early mornings. It would be good if this could be fixed. Overall though, we had a lovely week and would thoroughly recommend the property.

"What an amazing holiday home!"
It was massive and super clean and decorated to a really high standard. Had everything we needed and was in ideal location to get to beach. Will definitely come back

"Fantastic property, spotlessly clean, high standard of furnishings and equipment, would highly recommend"
-
"Fab property with high spec."
lovely place. Great location. BUT we were not informed there is a major construction site right on out doorstep, new Aldi store. Construction noise 7 days a week!

"During our recent week in Seaton, we had the pleasure of staying at this lovely townhouse."
The home was very comfortable and well equipped. We would certainly be delighted to rent this home again. The gift hamper was a thoughtful addition and much appreciated. We were booking from Canada and were also very pleased with the service provided by Sykes. We would not hesitate to book through Sykes again. David & Jennifer

"We had yet another lovely week in this property."
Spotlessly clean, really comfortable thank you
-
"Nice house, very close to everything."
The only issues we had was the house was very hot, we think the heating may have been on as well as the seagulls sitting on our car because of the food from the Italian restaurant and left a lot of mess on the car. Overall, we had a lovely week, the house was clean and the people are very friendly in Seaton. Thank you for the generous welcome pack.

"Front door lock difficult to open and posted by another person."
Rear outside terrace difficult to use because of the seagulls and would not want to touch the covers over the furniture because of the seagull droppings
-
"Nice property - All as described online."
Due to the work being carried out and the road being closed the parking bay was unavailable which did cause some problems. The front door lock was not always responsive to the key. Unable to take advantage of balconies due to seagulls. Would recommend property.

Well appointed.

"A fantastic property in an ideal location."
Spotlessly clean and fully equipped with everything you would need on a self-catering holiday. Easy walking distance to the beach, pub and Tescos! Plenty of restaurants/take always nearby. We had a brilliant holiday and would definitely recommend to others.
