  • "We were unclear how to separate recycling from general waste, food waste etc."

We were a little cool one evening but a phone call corrected the issue promptly. A good break in perfect location.

  • "This property was in a great location for walks from the door and close to shops and eateries."

The flat seemed recently decorated with new furniture and very comfortable. The parking space was a much needed bonus. We will definitely return here again.

  • "A well appointed comfortable flat with excellent views."

Having a dedicated parking space was a real bonus as parking anywhere near the property would have been difficult. The location was ideal as very close to shops, beach and amenities. The welcome hamper was a very nice surprise and much appreciated. A hand towel and additional tea towels for use in The kitchen would have appreciated. Would definitely use again.

  • "While the location is excellent, it’s clear that the letting company only refurbished the main room and the rest of the flat is very dated."

The kitchen is probably 20 years old but functional although the oven, which is horrendously cheap is totally useless….it took nearly 2 hours to roast some vegetables at full power. The bathroom is in desperate need of replacement, the Lino is grubby and the roof has odd yellow marks all over it, a lot of the furniture is corroded and the shower rail was lose when we were there so would quite often fall out of the braket…when looking at the folder in the flat, the gas safety cert had also expired in January! Other obvious problems is that the flat has a very obvious carpet moth infestation…they were everywhere and kept flying around in the evening …we had a 3 month old baby so didn’t really want someone turning up and randomly spraying chemicals around so didn’t report it . Is grim and it’s clear it’s been an issue for a while as there’s moth dust marks around the property Finally and probably the most annoying is the walls and floors are paper thin and the upstairs tenant doesn’t seem to care…on the Saturday we were there at 2am he decided to put his stereo on full blast and we had similar events through the week where you’d hear shouting and talking and much more (!) till the early hours.

As the owner of the apartment you visited its disappointing to note your dissatisfaction with our property. It is indeed in a fine position and we lovingly renovated the apartment less than 12 months ago - decoration throughout, new carpets and kitchen flooring, new kitchen work tops and new furniture throughout. We understand that it's not absolutely perfect and have already started the process of what we can do in the bathroom to freshen it up. We have also lodged a complaint with the owner of the flat above about noise at anti - social times. Notice has been served to the occupier that this is unfair and a term of their contract to observe no anti - social noise after 11pm. The apartment had its annual gas safety check in January 2024 as required. If the certificate hasn't been updated in the flat folder I will ask the managing agent to change it immediately. The apartment is cleaned between every tenant to a very high standard we believe and we have not heard of any issue with moths before. On reading your review we asked the managing agent to feedback on your remark and have been categorically told that no carpet moths exist. We employ a managing agent to act swiftly on our behalf if anything needs doing in the apartment as sometimes it does. We note that you chose not to use this service which we believe could have alleviated any maintenance issues you encountered, The loose shower rail for example has since been put right. • "Great location, over looking the coast."

    Lovely seaside resort

  • "The flat was clean ,tidy, comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen."

Parking space and advantage otherwise parking would be an issue in the area. Seaview and view over the gardens, crazy golf and bowling green very nice. The only down side is being on the middle floor you hear creaking floor boards from the flat above and the walls must be fairly thin as you hear the residents voices from the flats above and below. Being a holiday let in a house that has permanent residents is probably not ideal for them or the holiday maker.

We hope you enjoyed spending time watching from the apartment the games of bowls and taking in the sea view. The apartment is on the first floor of a Victorian terrace, and so being an older building, there may be noise from surrounding apartments. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "This was a great find - comfortable, spacious, very well cared for."

We loved being able to look out over the park toward the sea and it was great to stroll out for a game of crazy golf, then down to the seafront for our morning coffee. Parking was great too, a real advantage especially during the busy time of the year. A good centre for visiting other great seaside towns in the area.

How lovely! Thank you for your kind comments, we're pleased that you enjoyed Seaton. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner
