  • "We enjoyed our stay very much."

The apartment was well designed making maximum use of space and was thoroughly and thoughtfully equipped. The location was great for local restaurants and travelling around Devon and Dorset. Thank you.

  • "We loved our stay in Apartment 3."

The apartment was comfortable modern and spotlessly clean. Bed was comfortable and plenty of hanging space. We loved borrowing the picnic hamper and enjoyed a bbq on the beach. Would highly recommend

  • "Lovely spotless apartment, everything you need."

Comfortable bed and sofa. Only minor feedback to host would be to suggest a fully opaque door on the bathroom (can’t see through but just a little disconcerting) definitely would not stop us from staying again though, great space.

  • "Apartment felt clean, bright and fresh."

Everything neat and tidy for our family stay. Well appointed kitchen with good quality fittings, utensils, cutlery/crockery - all looks new, even the board games still had their cellophane wrappers on. The apartment occupies the top floor but you lose a lot of effective floor space due to the eaves - not a problem for us as we were using it as a base so didn't spend huge amounts of time there but even our kids bumped their heads until we all got used to it. I'm 6ft but couldn't stand up straight in front of the toilet. The bathroom is mostly the shower - but this is a good thing, as with the kitchen, the bathroom has quality fittings and was clean and new. There's no parking on site but there's a couple of long stay car parks only a short walk and Sykes added us on to the parking permits so we didn't need to pay. Both bedrooms had good fans in, but we stayed during the hottest spell of the year so far, and it was uncomfortably hot at night. Nice apartment, only 5 mins from the beach - sadly the top end of Fore Street in Seaton is feeling tired which doesn't match the quality of the apartment once you're in it. Would stay in the building again, but with hindsight Apt 1 or 2 on the first floor may suit us better so you get floor-to-ceiling height round the whole accommodation. Not too much of an issue as we were out all day, but wouldn't want to live in it for too long. There's no garden - the description on the Vrbo listing saying "property grounds" isn't correct - this is a picture of the small public park round the corner that the back of the property overlooks.

. Excellent apartment, short of nothing here. Very local for bars and restaurants....

  • "It’s a matter of taste."

The bed much too soft and settee miles too low. All the appliances were top of the range, unfortunately you needed an electronics degree to understand how to use them. The flat Ltd elf was awkward with the triangular dorms windows in all rooms. with large areas under the slopping ceiling. This restricted headroom in these areas meant every time you stood up or moved about you were constantly ducking

Thank you for your feedback about the apartment. As you say mattress comfort is always a matter of personal preference, and are a good quality firm coil sprung mattress. The sofas are a standard height and instructions for the appliances are provided . We do show photos of the interior of the apartment on the website, so the angles of the windows in the roof can been seen, the rest of the apartment is at normal ceiling height . The apartment is furnished to a very high standard, and the owner is very proactive is taking onboard feedback to continue to make further improvements. We hope that you enjoyed your stay and explored the local area. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "The apartment represented everything for which we always wish."

It was a delight to have no "hand-me-downs" and have the use of thoughtfully chosen, matching fittings, equipment, crockery, cutlery, bed linen and furniture etc. It was unfortunate that the washing machine was not working. This probably was a glitch on a newly installed appliance and I would not mark down my review as a notice had been attached to the machine. And these things happen anyway. I was conscious of being on the second floor and trust that when Apartments 1 & 2 are in use, the owners will include instructions to users of all Apartments that the self-closing fire doors (which I assume will be fitted), giving on to the stairwell are not wedged open. I had occasion to call Lyme Bay Properties about my Parking Permit. My enquiry was dealt with sympathetically by a very pleasant courteous lady to whom I spoke at a later date to compliment the owners on the excellence of Apartment 3.

The owner maintains both apartments to a very high standard to ensure guests have a fantastic holiday experience. We were pleased to hear that we dealt with your parking query successfully and I have passed on your compliments onto the team. The owner takes fire safety very seriously and fitted a L1 fire alarm system to the building, the apartments have fire doors, and there is a fire blanket in the kitchen. • "Beautifully presented apartment."

Very well equipped. The owner really has thought of everything. From comfy throws to board games to tea and coffee this lovely place has everything was exceptionally clean and tidy and is a very short stroll to the sea front. Seaton itself is in dire need of regeneration. But the unspoilt seafront has some great views is clean and tidy and there are a few lovely places to eat. East Devon is utterly beautiful. Would definitely recommend this accommodation and the area.

  • "A modern and stylish 2nd floor apartment."

Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Location ideal, convenience store opposite and a Tescos on seafront. Butchers shop and recommended Thai restaurant on ground floor. The Orchard Road car park was safe and a short walk away. Just tell Sykes your car registration number. You can unload in limited parking bays nearby. Had a great time wandering around various seaside towns. On a wet day we visited IKEA in Exeter. We especially enjoyed searching and finding amonites on Charmouth beach.
