  • "Bins were full and loose rubbish scattered by cats on arrival."

Disappointed house did not have a cafetiere provided to make ground coffee. We would expect this in a house in this price range. However bathrooms excellent with good showers

  • "Marvellous house decorated to high standard and very comfortable."

Only negatives were washing machine in filthy garage and no starter pack for log fire.

it was perfect for our visit with just about everything we needed to make the stay complete. The WiFi could be a bit faster but all in all it’s a great find.

  • "The sofas are not very comfy."

The garden is not enclosed so my dog had to be watched in the garden and with no way to leave the patio doors open when not in the room. The washing machine is in a very dirty and buggy garage.

  • "This is a lovely property, very comfortable, particularly the beds, it is very spacious and my mum who has a walking frame could get around easily, and, it is all on one level, we all very much enjoyed our stay."

It was immaculately clean throughout and had everything we needed, thank you for the goody box with the tea bags, coffee, chocolate & biscuits. It would’ve been nice to have a second TV in the main bedroom, we took my 90 year old mum with us and her viewing preferences were very different to ours. But this is my only criticism. This is our second time at this property, which I hope says a lot.

  • "Excellent property which appears to be newly decorated."

The property is in a quiet cul-de-sac very close to the South West Coast Path which is an added bonus. The only slight drawbacks are the view from the dining area (a neighbour's garage roof) and a lack of spare toilet rolls! Overall a very enjoyable stay.

  • "Great stay in this property."

Well placed for everything the area has to offer. About 10 mins to Dartmouth in the car. Supermarket in same direction. Very comfortable for 3 adults - would struggle to sit anything more than 4 people to watch tv comfortably relaxed. Plenty of utensils and plates etc. Being in the shoulder season it was too warm for the underfloor heating to come on but with the rain it felt a bit chilly some evenings but not cold enough to light the log burner. Main bedroom and bathroom very nice. Family bathroom ready for some tlc but more than adequate. Beds very comfy with lovely linens etc. Nice and dark and quiet so good sleep all round. Great week and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if coming back to the area. Big warning- follow instructions to property as given - DO NOT rely on Sat nav - narrow lane is a nightmare. Navigate via the top end of Dartmouth if coming from the M5/A38.

Impressive spacious property. Clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Good comfy beds. We liked the choice of decking areas to sit out on. Good base for touring the area. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

  • "Lovely property which has been very nicely maintained."

The rooms are all very well proportioned and the master suite is an impressive size. The kitchen is well appointed and there are more than enough glasses, plates, items of cutlery etc as well as anything you need to be able to prepare most basic meals. The garden is also a generous size but my one piece of feedback is that it is not secure, so although the property is pet friendly you can’t just let dogs out loose. We very much enjoyed our stay at Venn Park

The house was perfect - very comfortable and relaxing. Everyone we met in the village of Stoke Fleming and the surrounding area were very welcoming - we loved the Green Dragon Pub, Radius 7 restaurant and wine tasting at Michael Sutton’s Cellar. We enjoyed spectacular coastal walks, stunning beaches and fabulous countryside. Devon is a very beautiful place made more enjoyable by a week of perfect weather. Thank you.

The garden furniture was an added bonus. Perhaps a few more serving type dishes, teapot & egg cups would have enhanced the the kitchen equipment. Overall a wonderful week & would definitely return. Great position for visiting the South Hams.

  • "A really lovely bungalow, very spacious, well maintained and very clean."

All the equipment and appliances were of a good standard and worked well. The wifi was very good, a second tv in the bedroom would’ve been useful, but would not put us off going again. Good outside space but the table & chairs were very uncomfortable to sit on, so could not relax and enjoy sitting or dining outside.

  • "A wonderful bungalow."

Beds were very comfortable. Lots of space. Clean and well equipped. Had everything you need. Lovely outdoor space for dogs but if your pets are adventurous - there are no gates on property garden to keep them in, although not a problem for us. Garden is large so can keep pets away from openings well, however. Great location, so close to the beaches and supermarkets. Such a quiet area to stay in. Thank you to the owners who left lovely treats and decorations about the bungalow for Christmas! A wonderful stay - will definitely be back in the future.

  • "Lovely bungalow, well presented and well equipped."

Very comfortable and spacious. As per a previous review read before our trip a soft broom would be very useful in keeping the bungalow dust and crumb free! The location was excellent for visiting Dartmouth, Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands etc. although it's worth noting that the surrounding roads are very steep and narrow and the bends can be quite scary, especially as walkers have to share the roads in many places. We had a very enjoyable holiday, thank you.

  • "Beautiful bungalow with all mod cons in a very quiet residential area reached by some very narrow roads due to a traffic diversion in the village."

Ideally located for trips to the beach using the ferries to avoid going miles out of your way. Advertised as dog friendly but the garden isn't enclosed, there are gaps in the neighbours fence and there are lupins growing, couldn't leave the back patio doors open as the dogs couldn't be left unattended and had to be on leads every time they wanted to go out in the garden, which was a pain. No garden furniture although advertised which was annoying with the beautiful weather that we had whilst we were away. Would recommend for a family with older children as there are limited facilities for small children both in the house and the immediate location and no dogs because of the situation with the garden.

Thank you for your valued feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Our guest experience is hugely important to us and that includes your four-legged friends too. We will certainly take your feedback on board regarding the security of the garden. The blue patio set featured in the photos should have been available for you to use, so I understand your disappointment if these weren’t accessible during your stay. I will be looking into why they were not left on the decking for you. Thanks again for your comments and we hope to welcome you back soon. Property Owner

  • "A beautifully presented property, situated in a quiet road in Stoke Fleming."

Adequate parking for two cars. The property was very well equipped and felt very spacious. It had clearly only recently been renovated and everything looked very new. Good sized kitchen and sitting room, as well as a large master bedroom with ensuite, and one double and one twin room - both of which provided ample space. The property also has a fair sized back garden, laid mainly to grass. Stoke Fleming was a great place to stay as it is a lovely, quiet village, some 3 miles from Dartmouth, without the bustle and fight for car parking spots. We have been slowly working our way along the South West coastal path and staying in a number of properties along the way, and this was one of the nicest we have come across. The only thing it lacked was sea views! I would strongly recommend staying at this property.

Thank you for your very kind comments. We wish you the best of luck with the rest of your coastal path adventure! Property Owner
