  • "A really lovely stay in a beautiful lodge, we both thoroughly enjoyed our holiday, thank you!"

  • "We had a very relaxing 4 days the weather was perfect."

The lodge was lovely it was very clean and it had very you could wish for the only thing which let it down for me was when you parked the car to get to the steps there is a bit of a bank which I found a little difficult as I have bad knees and the first step of the steps was a little high for me but we managed. It would have been nice if that was in the write up then I could have looked for something that was flat. But saying that we had a lovely break. Just one small thing it would have been nice to have some sort of information about the tv we had to have maintenance out twice it was the switch on the top of the tv you had to take it out then put back in but we could not do it because you needed ladders.

  • "We had an enjoyable stay at Polperro Road and were very lucky with the weather allowing us to spend time on the patio with the gorgeous sea view."

Apart from minor hiccups (loose toilet seat/rather narrow single beds) the accommodation had everything needed for a comfortable stay... thanks !!

Good morning Mr Hunt Many thanks for your lovely review/feedback. I do too love the sea view. I can only apologise for the loose toilet seats, I was unaware of that so Thankyou for bringing it to my attention, I have not been able to get down this year due to personal issues and losing my mother. I will endeavour to get there soon but in meantime I’ll contact the park and arrange for someone to go and fix the the problem. Many thanks again. Take care and stay safe. Property Owner

About the location

LOOE

Polperro 5 miles.

Looe is Cornwall’s second largest fishing port and hence there is always a lively maritime bustle around the quay area of East Looe, which is connected to the quieter West Looe by a seven arched 19th century bridge over the River Looe. You can also catch the river taxi between East and West Looe. East Looe has narrow cobbled streets, twisting alleyways and plenty of tourist shops, whilst West Looe has a lovely outlook across the harbour. Looe’s viewpoint, Banjo Pier, can be reached from the quay and is a great spot to watch the returning fishing trawlers and look across the bay to Looe Island, which can be walked to occasionally at very low tides. The sandy Looe beach adjoins the pier and is very popular with families because of its safe shallow swimming and vast expanse of sand. There is also a great rock pool area at Hannafore that children will love. West Looe has a Heritage Centre that recently opened in the Old Sardine Factory with a climbing wall and a cafe and the delightful Kilminorth Woods have way marked walks through the majestic oak wood, rich in plant, insect and bird life. Apart from beach activities in this part of south east Cornwall, there are many mining remains on Bodmin Moor and in the Tamar Valley and much of the mining landscape has World Heritage status. This area of Cornwall has inspired writers, such as Daphne du Maurier and much of Bodmin Moor has inspired legends linked with King Arthur. There is much to explore in this beautiful part of Cornwall.
