  • "Very cozy cottage, a lot of very thoughtful touches, bed a bit hard for us (that is personal choice and you cannot please everyone all the time on things like this) :-) Stairs are quite steep, and again not a lot that can be done about this as a constraint of the size of the property."

We had a lovely time and will be booking again, well maintained home and would recommend to anyone :-)

  • "Lovely cosy cottage for 2 and a dog, Thank you for the welcome pack was a nice touch."

Enclosed garden is a bonus for our dog and we sat out listening to the river and owls at night. Very close to tavistock town centre which had a lovely market and various independent shops and just a 5 minute walk from the cottage so could leave the car behind... We made the most of the stove fire on cold evenings very cosy. Close to Dartmoor for a lovely drive out and walks.. Just one suggestion a grab rail located by the bath as bath was high and would help to get in and out. Thank you for a lovely stay.. Mark and Debbie and our fur boy Milo

The cottage had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Would we stay again? Absolutely! We look forward to a second visit in the not too distant future.

  • "A gorgeous holiday cottage with a very sweet garden to sit out in."

Well equipped with lovely bedding and comfortable beds. Great for walking into Tavistock and for exploring Devon by car. It was great we could bring our dog and the owners are very accommodating. We will stay again hopefully.

  • "Vigo cottage is an excellent little cottage."

Beautiful garden with an amazing view. The cottage is well stocked with everything you will need for your stay including towels. The log burner is amazing. The properties location is excellent, you are only minutes from Dartmoor and only 30 minutes from Plymouth. Tavistock itself is a lovely friendly town and the cottage is literally 5 mins from the main high street. We will definitely look to stay again in yhe Future.

  • "WE thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

The owners had done a lot to make the cottage comfortable and cosy with many thoughtful little touches. The kitchen was really very efficient and had everything we could want for cooking and eating in and we loved being so close to town that we could walk in to do our shopping. The weather was not conducive for sitting in the garden but it was lovely to be surrounded by so much greenery. Our only suggestion would be that they install another handrail on the other side of the steep stairs and to especially put one in the shower. If those were installed we would happily return.

  • "What a lovely cottage!"

!! Perfectly positioned for both exploring the Moor and popping down the road for a wander round the shops and cafes of Tavistock. The kitchen I well equipped for contouring up quick snacks to creating a 3 course dinner and the provision of milk, bread etc. we're very welcome after my drive through Exeter in flash floods! Washing and drying facilities are a big bonus after a wet and windy hike around the Tors and oh...such a lovely comfortable bed. My dog enjoyed his vantage point from the top of the terraced garden which is a lovely spot to sit for a brew. I live in a rural area but hardly noticed the traffic on the Mount Tavy Road. Thank you so much x

  • "Cottage was good for 2 people and a dog, lovely that it was so close to Tavistock and did not need to drive."

Lovely views from the garden over the town. Clean and welcoming.

  • "Lovely cosy cottage superbly located for both the town and Dartmoor."

It was beautifully presented by the owners and the extra touches like bread, butter and milk on arrival and two baskets of logs were much appreciated. The enclosed garden was a great place for a drink or two in the sun and perfect for our dog. Despite proximity to the road we found it very peaceful and nice and quiet at night. The stairs are very steep but not a problem if you are able bodied, the driveway is quite tight for a large car but certainly doable and we found the mattress a bit hard but that is only our preference. Would definitely recommend this a great place to stay.
