  • "Fantastic location, beautiful house for a large family breakaway."

  • "The property was lovely, really spacious and in a great location."

We could walk everywhere. The kitchen was especially nice and we had some great family meals around the big table. The TV in the living room was a bit limited but that wasn’t really a huge issue. The welcome we had was really nice - cream tea for all ten of us. What a nice gesture! Definitely recommend Sunny amount. We hope to return.

  • "Great accommodation for a large group."

Near all facilities so don't need to use the car once parked up. Very helpful owners. Only problem is the very close proximity to the train station across the road which was really very noisy at night and through the night for anyone sleeping at the front of the house (you don't hear it the same at the back). The Car parking permit is very useful in the car park at the end of the street, literally 2 mins walk. Also useful for parking free in places like Dawlish too. A couple of tips for the owners that would have helped us are:- A washing line to dry beach towels etc The deck chairs in back area were broken so no extra seating outside the back. Other than that the house is well equipped for a big family holiday.

Thank you. I will endeavour to get the broken chairs replaced asap. There was a washing line outside I will see what’s happened to that too. The station is not so easily sorted!! But it’s very handy for day trips and guests travelling by train. Property Owner

The property is in a great location, near to the sea, park, shops and station. Lots of room and well equipped. The owner was fantastic, on hand when we needed her, and delivered a cream tea with warm scones straight out of the oven to welcome us. We loved it and would highly recommend and hope to return again next year.

It’s near the railway station which was a benefit for us as we only use public transport. All the rooms are large and comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with equipment. The views from the front of the house out to sea are wonderful and there is easy access to coastal and countryside walks.

Within an hour, the owner had contacted a plumber and he arrived and fixed the problem. Amazing! I would say the oven and the fridge were slightly grubby but the general cleanliness of the house was great. Brilliant place to stay as a group.

It was not a problem we could not cope with especially as the property was so suitable for us, but may influence others in their choice of this property.

It was three family and we all loved the location the facility and the house. It was so kind of Sue to leave scones with cottage cream and jam. The freeze freezer was very handy with ice dispenser. The beach is walking distant which was really good as we all walked it. Over all we all had a great weekend and highly recommend the property.

The house was very well equipped and comfortable. It is in such a central spot. The train station, beach, restaurants, pubs all on your doorstep which is very handy. Teignmouth is a really lovely resort, we took the ferry boat over to Shaldon and had a lovely afternoon there. On contact with the owner regarding entry, quick to respond which was very reassuring. We had no problems with our stay and would like to return at some future point. Would be happy to recommend.

The house had everything we needed for our stay and it was situated in the perfect location. The house is around a 5 minute walk from the beach and the same to the town. There is a Lidl close by which was convenient for stocking up on groceries. The view from the house was of the sea and surrounding landscape which is beautiful to wake up to in the morning. The owner was very friendly and brought us some home made scones which was a lovely touch. The car park is just down the road from the house which is convenient.

  • "Sunny Mount is a beautiful 5 bedroom terraced home and we found it very clean and tidy on arrival."

It is a short stroll into town, beach and Teignmouth railway station. The kitchen with snug at one end has plenty of room, we were a party of 8 adults and 3 young children and there was ample space for dining and relaxing. A toilet and wet room at the other end of the kitchen is ideal for showering after a day on the beach. The kitchen facilities include large double electric cooker with gas hobs, washer and dryer, dishwasher, iron and ironing board, fridge freezer and hoover. Crockery etc accomodates large groups. Towels provided for each bedroom. The outdoor space is small but ample as we were out all day, it was a nice area to unwind in the evening. There is an additional front room which is also spacious with great views over Teignmouth. There are 2 TVs and media, Nintendo games available and DVDs, reading books. The 5 bedrooms have plenty of space and there are 4 toilets in the house altogether. There are a lot of stairs up to the top floor so the lower floor bedrooms would be better for anyone who has mobility issues. One small comment I would make is that the 2 top bedrooms seemed to have had a leak at sometime so there are small areas where the paint is peeling off but this didn't in anyway cause us problems. The property is situated in a quiet area, access is a little steep, again I make this comment for anyone with mobility issues. Sue the owner made us scones and left jam and clotted cream in the fridge, a lovely touch. Two car park passes are included so you can park 2 minutes walk away. Sue arranged for an extra pass as we had 3 cars, the passes allow you to park in any Teignbridge car park which is a bonus. Overall a lovely property, clean and tidy, great situation and the owner Sue very helpful, friendly and easy to contact.

It is in a good location and lovely sea views from the front of the property. The small yard was good for the little ones to let off steam. The property would benefit from some new kitchen equipment and some fans for the bedroooms when its hot. The trains are an issue if windows are left open overnight. We would return as its comfortable and roomy.

  • "We all loved the house."

The kitchen dinner snug was a big asset to the house and enabled the three families including two young children to enjoy being together. Two minor points we would like to raise. There was a lack of hangers in every room. Even the master bedroom had only 5 hangers. The towels were well laundered, white and soft but the bath towels felt very small when we are used to bath sheets and the large men in the family did find them inadequate. These are two very small quibbles and we would certainly recommend this house and Sykes to our family and friends.
