    Every comfort catered for and lovely little gifts including wine, chocs, biscuits & flowers. Very narrow Devon roads but doable out of season, don't follow sat-nav use Sykes instructions. I would definitely stay again.

  • "We were disappointed that there was absolutely no flex on a slightly later departure than 10am on Saturday."

    Given that the local parkrun at Bolberry Down starts at 9am, we simply asked to leave by 11 so we could shower. I find it hard to believe this could not be accommodated in circumstances where there was 2 massive laundry bags to greet us at the doorway when we arrived on Wednesday afternoon - they were still there when we left at 10am Sat - hardly points to a strict cleaning schedule. Slightly surprised guests are asked to strip the beds too given the prices charged and that it is advertised as a luxury set up. Apart from these two points, the apartment was well presented and possibly even nicer than the photos suggested.

    Sorry to hear that C&C could not accommodate a late departure. Will speak to them about this for any future requests. I believe the property was rented the directly after you ( hence the linens) so probably couldn't juggle it. Hopefully next time, we will be able to accommodate. Property Owner

  • "A gem in an amazing location Knowing the area well, we can confidently state that this is the best place to be."

    Away from the many crowds in Salcombe, but close enough to visit, and in striking distance of local sights and amenities, the apartment's location is fantastic. With the beach virtually on your doorstep and the Beach House readily on hand to provide great food and drinks, we could not wish for more. The apartment itself was spotless, light and airy, with all you need for a very comfortable stay. Absolutely faultless. Highly recommend.

  • "We had a lovely stay at the property."

    Loved the amazing views of the stunning countryside and the beach being so near. Thank you for the beautiful bouquet of flowers and the bottle of wine, really appreciated! Everything in the apartment was good quality, clean and comfortable. Only negative for us was the very narrow lanes approaching the property which did stop us going out and touring around so much. Would be useful to have brochures on all appliances, and oven gloves. We could not find these. The swimming pool was warm and delightful and we really enjoyed using it daily in the good weather. There is no local shop nearby so you need to be very organised! .

  • "Great looking apartment at surface-level, however since the swimming pool was broken & not repaired during our stay, it was a bit of a disappointment in the end."

    Fairly lengthy list of issues such as no extractor fans working, dirty washing machine, toaster & oven. One of the kitchen shelves fell down & the egg dish almost hit my husband in the head! The shoddy screw repair we found explained why. I think if the owner's address the list of repairs, the property would become more of the 4-star level we expected. If the pool had been working, more so. Unfortunately the resolution was not satisfactory and we would not recommend. Location was good - just don't be afraid of driving on very tight roads!

    We do thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback, and we are sorry that you feel that the property was not presented properly, although we are disappointed to read your comments as despite us being in contact with you regarding the breakdown of the swimming pool, you did not mention any of these other issues, which we could have easily remedied during your stay. The pool breakdown was unfortunate, but spare parts were required and these were obtained and repairs arranged by the Management Company as quickly as possible. The owners have also made a gesture of goodwill as they understand the disappointment this will have caused during your stay. Property Owner

  • "Fantastic apartment and location - absolutely faultless."

    Great views and walks with lots to do nearby including a pool on site, a great beach just a few steps away and some fabulous pubs and restaurants within easy reach. The apartment was very spacious, clean and comfortable, and had all we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. A first class destination which we would highly recommend. We will be back for sure!

  • "Fantastic stay at a wonderful location, we had a great relaxing break."

    The apartment is clean, spacious and has everything you need. Importantly, beds were comfy and towels fluffy. Our kids enjoyed the beach and we had some great walks with beautiful scenery. We ate a few of the places suggested nearby and all were excellent. Already booked for next year!

  • "Beautiful apartment however this was listed as pet free accomodation and upon arrival it was clear to see that a dog had been in the property."

    Had we known this beforehand we would have selected another property as our daughter has pet allergies. The carpets, sofa, kitchen worktops, blankets and cushions were full of hair which stuck to your clothes. We arrived late Saturday afternoon after travelling for 6 hours and then had to proceed to clean the place before we could unpack our bags. This was such a shame as the property was great apart from this.

This property does not accept dogs and we do our best to ensure that all guests respect this, however on this occasion its is clear a dog has been present unbeknown to ourselves and for this we are truly sorry.   • "The heated swimming pool was not heated."

    It was unusable as it was so cold. Our sole reason for choosing this property (and paying a premium!) was the pool. Very disappointed.

This delightful, first-floor apartment of 6 Ocean's Edge enjoys an idyllic position by the coast in Thurlestone Sands near Hope Cove, Devon.

The perfect place for a family holiday, the apartment sleeps up to six people and enjoys stunning views of the conservation area, whilst offering all the amenities required for a self-catering break.

When arriving at the apartment, you'll be happy to discover that there is allocated parking available, where you can leave your vehicle before climbing the stairs or taking the lift to this stylish dwelling.

Upon entering the apartment, discover a fabulous open-plan living space, where a sleek kitchen offers the budding chef of the group a great range of appliances, including a dishwasher and electric double ovens.

Move through the space to find the dining table that comfortably seats up to eight people; settle down and tuck into a tasty meal whilst planning some seaside escapades together.

Stretch out on the corner sofa in the sitting area and watch some TV, all the while being surrounded by windows showcasing those breathtaking views.

As the day comes to an end, choose one of three tastefully furnished bedrooms, with one featuring a super-king-size enjoying a TV, en-suite shower room and an adjoining balcony with the open-plan living room.

The picturesque village of Thurlestone is popular with both beach-goers and watersports enthusiasts, with the beautiful sandy beaches of Thurlestone and South Milton Sands within walking distance. Thurlestone boasts an 18-hole links golf course, a 13th century church, a traditional pub, a post office and the ‘Voyage Spa’, where visitors can enjoy spa treatments or afternoon tea. The sailing town of Salcombe is just a 10-15 minute drive away, and the fishing village of Hope Cove is a short drive away, or can be reached on foot via the South West Coast Path.
