"The electric shower needs upgrading, the sprung mattresses need upgrading, head boards would change the appearance and comfort in the bedrooms, this is a nice property with stunning sea views ,I think if these improvements were made in would make for a better stay."

"Radar Station is perfect for holidaying in a beautiful part of Cornwall."
A wonderful historic location with outstanding views. All home comforts indoors with outside seating/dining area and of course the hot tub, checked each day for safety. The bar and restaurant is welcoming with delicious food, huge portions, for any time of day and friendly staff for whom nothing is too much trouble. The beach over the road needs good fitness as steep but there's a bus stop outside the site that regularly takes you to easily accessible beaches and Plymouth, or a 10 minutes drive. Perfect.

"Overall a great place to stay, only minor things which were irritating but it has direct access to beach, warm pool, lovely friendly bar, food was lovely too."
. A few irritations... 1)No direct access to wrap around decking to use Hot tub...bit of a pain but didn't stop us using it (which was lovely) 2)Furniture a bit dated in bedrooms but again didn't stop us sleeping in comfort. 3)we would suggest taking a tourch as there is no lights on decking, to light the way in the dark when using hot tub.. 4)It could do with a fire exit window.. only one entrance/exit. 5)Water flow from shower poor, and the shower bar fell from the wall.. 2 Adults Easter Break Away 2024

About the location
MILLBROOK
Whitsand Bay 1 mile; Plymouth 8 miles.
Set in a bowl of hills at the head of a tidal creek that leads to the Hamoaze, opposite the great naval city of Plymouth, Millbrook is located on the Rame Peninsula, "Cornwall's Forgotten Corner". Bounded by the Lynher and Tamar rivers, the Hamoaze and the sea, the area is deeply rural and designated as one of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village has a good range of shops and pubs, while close by are the pretty coastal villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, from which a ferry will take you to Plymouth. Along the southern edges of the peninsula are miles of beautiful walks with glorious views of Rame Head. Just a mile south of Millbrook lies Whitsand Bay with its miles of uncrowded sandy RNLI patrolled beach and dramatic cliffs. A superb base for discovering the wild side of Cornwall.
