"The lodge is in a very ideal location for exploring Dartmoor, Torbay and the rest of South Devon."

We didn't meet many of the staff but the ones we did meet were very friendly and helpful. This is probably the cleanest place we've ever stayed at. Everything was spotless and felt brand new. It looks exactly like the photos on the site. The double bed was a little uncomfortable though and also the pillows. WiFi was very good - no issues streaming. The showers were great. The kitchen was very well equipped. The cupcakes left for us were amazing! There were 4 of us in total (2 adults, 2 children) plus our dog. Unfortunately we decided to leave a couple of days early before the arrival of Storm Ciaran but we would definitely return to this site and would highly recommend it.

Thank you for your feedback the mattress came with the lodge and we do find mattresses are not onesize fits all as others have said very comfortable if you had said about pillows we could of changed them for softer/firmer ones. "We spent 2 restful weeks in Cherry Lodge."

It was very clean and comfortable well thought out for a worry free stay. We found everything we needed in the kitchen.the only thing we missed was a pair of scissors and a teapot, We had a couple of days of very high winds which made the bathroom fan vents to vibrate very loudly this was more noticeable at the night.Keeping us awake. But in all we had a great stay highly recommend it.

A clean and comfortable lodge in a near idyllic setting. Within a short drive of Teignmouth, Shaldon and the Torbay resorts. I would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a week of relaxation and/or exploration of this coast.

"One of the best lodges we’ve stayed in and on a great site."

The lodge is really well equipped with everything you’d need for a home away from home, and it was lovely and clean. My daughter loved the heated swimming pool too.

Twelve Oaks Farm

Nestled in South Devon's most breathtaking countryside, on the eastern fringes of Dartmoor National Park, these properties are wonderfully appointed offering you a well-earned break with your loved ones. With many exciting attractions nearby, this working farm covers almost 250 acres for you to roam at your own leisure. Bordered by the River Teign, on the edge of the village of Teigngrace, you have a lovely rural setting, with a fishing lake nearby and an abundance of wildlife, leaving you to enjoy an adventurous family holiday. Newton Abbot is situated in the heart of The English Riviera, with its mild climate and thriving palm trees. The ancient market town now offers plenty of modern shops, both local and well-known high street chains and six leading brand supermarkets. There's also a racecourse where National Hunt racing takes place from spring until autumn, with craft fayres during the winter. Newton Abbot has a unique pub, the tap house and bottle shop, located in the building of what was a traditional working malthouse offering arguably the finest bottled beers in Devon. The seaside towns of Teignmouth, Shaldon and Dawlish are nearby and are fantastic destinations for families. Spend a day on the beach building sand castles and walk the impressive Victorian Pier at Teignmouth. The National Trust houses of Bradley Manor, Coleton Fishacre and Compton Castle and many others are well worth a visit, whilst the highlight of your stay will undoubtedly be the stunning beaches around Torquay and the many hidden coves such as Meadfoot, Oddicombe and further afield the pretty Ness Cove. And of course, the South West Coast Path provides stunning seascapes across the bay, with a popular stretch from Torquay Harbour to Daddyhole Plain, passing through Beacon Cove where Agatha Christie used to swim as a girl. Newton Abbot provides a fabulous base for an English seaside holiday all year round.
