"We had a lovely stay at Burham Cottage again."
The cottage is cosy and comfortable. Walkhampton is a lovely village and provides a fantastic base for visiting the moor.
-
"Great week’s stay - perfectly located in a lovely village."
Our 1yr old cocker Daisy loved the walks! Cottage well equipped with everything you need, pub opposite was a nice addition, always managed to park right outside our cottage even when pub was busy! Would definitely return.

Apologies there was an issue with the television. Property Owner

"The stay was absolutely lovely and the location is superb."
The property was mostly clean with some hidden spider webs (which were only visible at a certain angle of sunlight) and dog hair. The property is well maintained and the stay was very comfortable. The kitchen and washing machine were easy to use, and there were extensive cookware options too, however one of the pans is really scratched and could perhaps be replaced. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely be back if we were to have another holiday in the area. :)

"It was a delight to stay in this warm homely cottage."
It was super clean, well equipped and in a great location to access the Dartmoor. Instructions on how to use the TV would be useful. I’m fairly tech savvy but failed completely! Parking was easy, although I did have to find alternative spots in the village when others parked outside the front door.

"Back again at for the 3rd or 4th time at Burham Cottage."
It's an excellent, comfortable base for exploring this part of Dartmoor. A real home from home. The pub across the road has a great atmosphere and there are so many walks and good places to eat in easy reach. Hope to return soon if it's not booked up!

"After a long day travelling from the north east , we found the cottage to be just what we wanted , warm clean and organised."
It was like home from home. Easily accommodated 3 Adults, 1 13 year old and 2 dogs. The kitchen had everything you needed to prepare a family meal. The bathroom was lovely, plenty of hot water when needed. All in all a lovely comfortable ,clean and cosy cottage half a hour from Plymouth where we were visiting our daughter at uni. It is a well situated cottage for food drinks and surrounding areas. Found one of the best fish and chip shop . The chippie at Horabridge which is less than 2 mile away. The pub over the road is good. We will definitely be coming back in the future.

"Lovely cottage with everything you need, look out the window and the pub is a 10 second walk away."
Lots of places to eat within a short drive, and Tavistock has an indoor market with plenty of stalls 5 days a week. One small moan, parking. You can park right outside which is great but, there was a cider festival in the pub across the road all over the bank holiday weekend, and if you went out in your car you would return to find someone parked within a couple of feet of the front door and no parking close by. I had to park a few minutes walk away on at least 6 occasions, twice in the pouring rain. I think a small sign outside the cottage saying "Burham cottage parking only" may help.

"The cottage was lovely, the village of Walkhamptom is a delight and we were very comfortable and content."
My only issue was the pillows, which are terrible.

"Lovely little cottage with all that we needed."
Lovely and peaceful and a good base for visiting places. Comfy bed which was great as we have stayed in places where the beds were hard and bumpy!

"Thanks for the use of the cottage we enjoyed our short stay."
Spacious and well presented cottage. Good secure rear garden area for our dog. Also a real sun trap to sit out and enjoy a drink or cuppa! Great location to explore Dartmoor. Some minor issues which I believe are down to ‘wear & tear’ - main points were the security box for key was damaged and loose slate in the seating area.

The cottage has everything you need for a relaxing break

"Lovely cottage, great location, very quiet and dog friendly."
Clean and comfortable with some lovely touches. As we have family nearby we will definitely be making a return booking when we next come to visit them.

"Lovely little cottage."
We enjoyed our stay and will be using again. Personally we liked the little homely touches that the owners provided, like having 2 baskets of wood free of charge and the personal touches inside, games, kitchen bits. Probably the only thing we found challenging was the local recycling scheme which took some time to do, so we suggest little food is more, so less waste. Perfect stay really.

"Ticked all the boxes for us- we wanted to stay near our Devon based family for Christmas but needed a property which suited our two dogs as elderly parents couldn’t accommodate us any longer ."
Burham Cottage couldn’t have been better. Lovely cosy cottage, well equipped and with good walking from the doorstep. Friendly church up the road for Christmas services and fantastic pub across the road serving great food. Couldn’t have been better!

"A charming cottage with plenty of space for 4 people and a well stocked kitchen."
It was useful having the two single bedrooms. Nice outside space with seating. We were on holiday with family staying nearby but there was enough space for them to visit. Good base for visiting Tavistock and surrounding area, and a quiet location despite being be opposite the pub.
-
"A comfortable and very well appointed property."
Excellent for our two dogs as well and nice to be so near the pub!
