  • "Excellent stay, really enjoyed the apartment and the views of the estuary."

Would definitely recommend staying here and would stay again if in the area. The only issue we encountered was our inability to find the refuse bins despite following the instructions we ended up taking it home. The property is extremely well equipped and had every thing you could possibly need. It might be worthy of note that if you had walking difficulties the stairs are very steep and if your were on the large size you would find the shower cubicle tight.

  • "The views from the property were fabulous."

We would highly recommend and would love to return. Lovely furnishings. Couldn’t find a tea pot though! Slightly disappointed that no milk, tea or coffee provided for arrival which we have had from previous rentals. Overriding memory though is of wonderful apartment with magnificent views. Many thanks.

  • "This is a lovely apartment in a beautiful location."

I flagged up an issue with Coast & Country (water leaking through the ceiling) but their handling of the situation was poor and marred the holiday. The experience of giving feedback after the holiday was immensely frustrating; their processes are letting down a quality property.

  • "Upper Tremorvah is an exceptional property."

The location, views, furnishings and amenities provided a wonderful holiday. I agree with the previous reviewer who said the photos don't do it justice. The cottage provides a peaceful setting with fantastic views of the river while just steps away from groceries, restaurants, ferries and footpaths. We were mesmerized at the windows by the views of sunrise, the ferries and boats, and the lights appearing on the river at dusk. The key pickup/drop off at the office went smoothly and communication with the agency was efficient and clear. The cottage and Dartmouth are ideal for a stress-free, car-free holiday.

  • "Wonderful week staying at Upper Tremorvah despite the soggy weather , with incredible views across to Kingswear and up and down the River Dart."

A nice stroll up and down to town , not overly steep. The apartment was very nice , tidy , smart and spacious but homely , the owners have done put a lot of effort in to make you feel welcome . The bed was so comfortable ( we’d like one ourselves !) .. Very quiet at night . Lots of eateries / pubs / cafes to choose from. Our favourites being Rockfish , The Floating Bridge , The Cherub . Would highly recommend Upper Tremorvah ( the photos don’t do it justice ) .. Staff at Coast and Country were very nice and helpful .

Ideal location, great view. Comfy beds. Bit of a walk to the car park in town but spaces were not an issue as we went out of high season.

About the location

DARTMOUTH

Totnes 12 miles.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth.
