We loved our stay in your beautiful cozy cottage. Comfy beds. A real gem. CONS Small bath towels and no freezer department in fridge. We appreciated the wine, biscuits and milk left for us to enjoy. We will highly recommend to our friends and family.

  • "Clean and comfortable cottage."

Contained things needed for a week away ie utensils, white goods. There were a few issues. The bottom oven is not working, which was mentioned a few times in the guest book which might be tricky if a whole family staying. The shower head could not be adjusted up as that aspect was broken. We wedged a bottle under it to make it higher! There may be an issue with the outside down pipe as water was leaking from it after showers etc. But all in all enjoyed our stay. Thanks for wine and biscuits.

Thank you for your feedback Judith, we hot footed it down to Watchet to sort the shower head, and enjoyed a fabulous sunset. The down pipe issue, I have been informed by Wessex Water is finally sorted at the end of the Terrace. The oven also I believe is now sorted, glad you enjoyed your stay despite the challenges! • "4th Visit to Sea Spray."

Again had a fabulous time. Weather was great. Had a very chilled week. But we managed the market on the Esplanade, trip to Blue Anchor for coffee, cake and walks along the beech. Sunrise, sunsets just amazing. Bbq with the family on the terrace. Comfortable beds. We are lucky to still have our lab at 10yrs old and she lives her best life in the rock pools. ( Hobbled home tho) Only one thing to moan about, main oven isn't working so needs a look at. Not a biggie because we used top oven. But most of the time just 2 of us. Maybe a bigger family might not feel the same. Loved it tho. And we will be back I'm sure for our 5th visit.

Happy the weather at Watchet was kind to you on your visit, the sunsets are quite spectacular from the deck too! The oven, we have been advised does work, the timer knob needs to be on manual for the oven to come on straight away, and have now after trying it for a weekend in between maintenance tasks made a note for the kitchen cupboard door above the oven and in the information folder. If there are further issues or we were just lucky with our two in one pies I am sure we will be updated! Thank you for your feedback Dawn Property Owner

  • "Concerned about the leak of sewage into the back yard."

Owner said it was a back-up from further along the terrace and Wessex Water would deal with it. To my mind it was a leak from the soil pipe, but I did not inspect it closely! Also, oven problems - lower oven did noit always work and the timer did not ring. I understand the cooker is under warrenty and the owner is dealing with this. The cottage is lovely - this was our second stay - and we would consider coming back

Hi Steve, Thanks for your understanding over the blocked drains, Wessex Water confirmed that it was blocked at the end of the terrace and had backed up. Re cooker, we have been in touch with the provider and booked and engineer to inspect. Thanks for you feed back Jon Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage in prime position."

We were all comfortable and have left positive comments in visitor book. The only thing that could improve the facilities would be a major project to change the twin bedded room into two spaces, one with two bunk beds and the other a toilet. Queues occasionally occured for the bathroom with four, so a party of six could be a challenge. Having said that, we will re-book at some point, as we had a lovely time.

Thank you Steve for your feedback, I am glad you all had a lovely time and the queues were not too challenging! I cannot deny your project change made me chuckle, this cottage has been a family escape for more than 25 years. You cannot guess how many variations of 'what can we do' have been drawn up on scraps of paper, including taking the whole back wall out to the decking steps, with a door out onto it from the bathroom! On one occasion the clan of 14 gathered to walk up Dunkery Beacon to see an Eclipse, this had a serious queue issue where age one out! Property Owner

  • "Very comfortable house ideally situated."

Beds very comfortable. House had all we needed. Electric fire in lounge was very efficient. We arrived in pouring rain and got soaked looking for the keysafe. It was on the window frame. It would have helped to know that, especially if we'd arrived in the dark. From a car loading/unloading point of view the car park is quite a way from the house. Just two doors up from the house is a layby that was really helpful. The veranda at the back would have been lovely but the weather wasn't good enough to sit and eat outside. Watchet is a pretty, lively and friendly town. The house helped us to have a most enjoyable holiday.

Comfortable and very well equipped. Some nice welcoming touches (the wine was much appreciated after a Friday afternoon on the M5). Lovely little outside space to watch the tide coming in and out. The weather for our week was pretty lousy but the comfy beds and good facilities meant we were able to enjoy our time inside when the rain was pouring. Really appreciated all of the maps and particularly enjoyed the maritime map of the Bristol Channel. Would visit again.

.nice village of watchet and close to other areas..cottage was good for the two of us. I know it sleeps 6 but the lounge is just about big enough for 4 at the most. Everything was caterer for for our week stay. Would be even better if some.more food preparation knives and pots/pans were made available (bit limited). Best view I've ever seen from the bathroom in any holiday home....watching the tide come in and go out in utter privacy. A tumble dryer would have been good so we could wash clothes and dry them. We enjoyed our stay. Thankyou

Thank you Ahmad for your feedback, happy you enjoyed your stay. We do take on board feedback comments, and the 'sleeps' number is one under continuous discussion! 4 is comfortable, 4 adults + 2 children + chocolate Lab is cosy, 6 adults is do - able but this info is very difficult to convey in a listing! • "Gorgeous cottage in a fabulous location."

Beds were really comfortable with lovely fresh white bedding. It was so perfect we’ve booked again! Rating 98/100! In the spirit of feedback, the two tiny improvements I’d ask are for a freezer compartment in the fridge, I needed ice in the last few scorching days, gin on the deck wasn’t quite the same without!, also, we couldn’t find recycling instructions-we didn’t want to leave all our bottles etc but couldn’t find the guidance and recycling boxes?

Thank you Helen for your lovely feedback response to your stay in Watchet, it is rather a special spot! Regarding the fridge and lack of freezer, we have had mixed advice on this one as the icebox door gets broken frequently as well as space being at a premium, but I have added it to the list of must do! The recycling boxes are a mystery, but I will investigate and provide guidance. See you in the Autumn. Property Owner

  • "There were no photographs of the front sitting room when we booked, I did ask if there was a sofa."

Photographs have since been published & there are 2 very large, (slippery to sit on) leather type sofas & an armchair which take up almost all of the room. It makes the room very cramped & rather uncomfortable, I guess this is because you advertise it as a cottage for 6 but with only one bathroom it would be tight. Very comfortable beds.

Thank you Marie for your review, it was your query regarding sitting room that brought to our attention the lack of a photo, so thank you! Glad you enjoyed the comfy beds, the view is extraordinary out to sea I hope you were rewarded with an amazing sunset. Property Owner
