  • "This is a lovely comfortable cottage in a pretty Devon village."

I've stayed here a couple of times now and will definitely book again. Local shops, cafe and pub on your doorstep, plus stunning views of surrounding Devon countryside and Dartmoor. Owners very helpful and the cottage has everything you need. A great base for walking and exploring the area.

Clean, comfy and everything to hand. Situated in the gorgeous quaint village of winkleigh. Pub 2 mins walk (Kings arms) and food was amazing. Cafe at Sams Cider was also great serving an all day breakfast. Would definately return and/or recommend to others. Many thanks.

  • "Lovely cottage interior beautifully decorated."

The cream tea and wine was a very nice surprise. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable always a plus for me. One small negative the garden could do with a clean and spruce up. But that didn’t stop us enjoying sitting outside in the sun.

  • "I have stayed at this property several times in the past."

It is well situated in the village, it is always comfortable and clean. This time there are a couple of basics missing. No dishwashing liquid at all in the property, and access to the washer and dryer was not possible, having access to those is one of the reasons I booked this property.

  • "The cottage is located in the lovely village of Winckley."

Winckley is a quiet village with all the amenities you require including a post office, a general store, two pubs and various pop up eateries throughout the week. We arrived on a Saturday to find a Thai kitchen set up in the nearby community centre car park. This was lovely and the food was very tasty. Parking was not a problem and we managed to park near the cottage all week without any hassle. The cottage has everything you need including a utility room with a washer & drier. The master bedroom is spacious and the second bedroom was loved by our son who enjoyed the bunk beds ! There are lots of nice touches around the cottage and we would recommend it to couples and a family with one or two young children. We used it as a base and travelled to all parts of Devon from the cottage. Saunton Sands was a favourite of ours and it took about 45 mins to get there. It took us about 90 mins to get to Salcombe from the cottage too. We loved it. We wouldn’t hesitate on visiting again. My 3 year old son said he loved his holiday home !! Thank you.

It is always nice to find a cottage that accepts dogs, garden small but it was safe and secure for our dog to relax in after a long day exploring. Local pub is well worth a visit, great food and a very friendly welcome. We look forward to visiting again, we feel in love with Winkleigh.
