"Lovely property ."
Very relaxing and our dog loved it ,being qble to have freedom to roam.
-
"The bungalow was beautifully clean and well equipped."
The garden was secure for the dog and there was use of a large field too. The only drawback was the road to the property it’s single track with passing places but there are plenty of places to pass

"Nicely presented Cottage,Everything we needed ,in a lovely location."

"Very nice bungalow to stay in with countryside views all round."
Big garden so lots of sun till 9pm if not cloudy. Bed and chairs comfy and plenty of cooking utensils in kitchen. Conservatory is lovely to eat in or relax. Owners live nearby and are very friendly. Towels are small so if you like to wrap yourself up bring your own. You also need to bring everything with you for making food and drinks as there are no stocks at all and no welcome basket.

"We live in the country and this property was like home away from home but better."
The garden gave the dog freedom to roam and a runaround for our boy. The property had everything we needed. I was most impressed at having hand soap and hand towels. The cottage was very clean and warm. We felt relaxed and comfortable here and we're already planning a trip back. We like the quiet of the surroundings and yet close enough to explore the coast. We also met the owner who was so welcoming and lovely.

"The property needs decluttering as there is alot of unnecessary furniture which makes the living space small in all rooms."
The property was clean but the grass should have been maintained as it was difficult to see where the dogs had been. But the enclosed garden was excellent for the dogs

"A lovely cosy bungalow."
Very peaceful and relaxing surroundings. Bungalow was very clean, conservatory was a real bonus. Kitchen was good, would have been excellent if there were more cooking utensils and a dishwasher, but it didn’t spoil our stay. Garden was absolutely perfect for our two dogs, very large and totally secure. Would definitely consider rebooking later in the year.

We had everything that we needed and the setting was peaceful and secluded with wonderful views. Mitzi was extremely pleased with the garden and surrounding area.

"Broadstones is set in a rural area alongside a crossroads /country lanes."
Be prepared for narrow lanes with passing places (also potholes and ruts) when heading out in either direction. The cottage is well cared for and comfortable, without being luxurious. The added space offered by the sunny conservatory is a real bonus and the enclosed garden is a big plus point too. The owners live nearby and are very experienced in holiday letting. The kitchen with dining area is on the small side but has the main equipment you'd need for preparing meals. However, we did find it strange that there was nothing in the way of simple storecupboard items such as salt and pepper, cooking oil, coffee or tea. The bathroom is modern and the large shower has good pressure. If future holidaymakers prefer a nice big bath sheet, we'd advise them to take their own as the bath towels provided are not all that big. Overall, we had a good week and were lucky with the weather too.

"Staying at Broadstones gave us the 'away from it all' peace & quiet we wanted to experience on our holiday, particularly during the evening & night time with no passing traffic - wonderful!"
The key highlights of this bungalow were: a, The conservatory with its 280 degree view of the surrounding fields & hills; sitting there after eating our breakfast we saw a hare on 2 different days; b, Not having wifi was also a big advantage because health wise we are both adversely affected by it; c, the kitchen is well equipped which helped us a lot as we had brought enough food to prepare & eat all our main meals in the bungalow. Thank you Mr & Mrs Widger!

"Could do with new bed as not comfortable."
But would definitely come back, dogs loved it and close to good beaches.

"Very much enjoyed our stay at Broadstones, property had everything we needed."
Loved the conservatory, breakfast with a view. Our dog enjoyed the enclosed garden and had an added bonus of having access to adjacent field for a longer walk. Friendly owners who lived nearby and were on hand for any advice.

About the location
BRIDPORT
Lyme Regis 10 miles; West Bay 2 miles.
The attractive market town of Bridport grew up around the River Brit, and was shaped by its extensive history of rope and net making. The long, wide streets and alleyways between the houses were once where the flax strands were twisted into rope, while today those streets are filled with an interesting variety of shops, restaurants and inns. Bridport’s market is regularly featured on the River Cottage TV programme. 2 miles south of Bridport is the dramatic Jurassic coast at West Bay, now a World Heritage Site, home to the backdrop for TV's Harbour Lights and the coastal setting for popular Broadchurch, whilst the picturesque resort of Lyme Regis is within 10 miles.
