  • "Whilst the let was on the surface neat and tidy as an elderly couple with a dog ..."

Whilst the let was on the surface neat and tidy as an elderly couple with a dog couldn't recommend it the sofa was extremely uncomfortable the two recliners were comfy but too low I spent the entire holiday sitting on a dining chair the beds were too cramped apart from the double the lack of fresh air in the bedrooms we found stifling and so sleep wasn't good shower and bath good toilets child sized and very poorly situated like the downstairs sink why put it opposite the hot dryer rail bend over and you burn your backside when washing your face the outside garden I'm not sure that was described accurately it was unusable no access from house you have to walk round the row of houses up a steep slippery overgrown path get in the garden (I use garden loosely) to the deck which may be classed as fit for use but we didn't use it once car parking didn't get use of it once during the holiday description of waste disposal also needs addressed better our verdict will be don't use to anyone

  • "Thank you we enjoyed a wonderful week."

The beds were extremely comfortable, I even took a sneak at the mattress name to possibly purchase one at home. Only couple of bits to note: children picked out dvd ( from your shelves) to watch only to find no player? Also would be nice to have clothes airer as struggled to dry our beach towels. But overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and made good use of the accommodation as our base for exploring.

Dear Kathryn Thank you for your helpful feedback and glad you enjoyed your stay. We will buy a clothes airer and either get a new DVD player or remove the DVD's. Best wishes. Jackie and Simon Property Owner

  • "The house was OK."

Clean and basic facilities. It was dingy and claustrophobic - one window at the front obscured by an overgrown bush, and one at the back in the kitchen. No windows up stairs, only roof lights. The place welcomes pets (we don't have any), but had a bit of a musty smell of wet dog. There's shelves in the living room well stocked with books etc, but this gave the impression of being cluttered. There's lots of pictures on the walls at odd places, looking behind these cover dents/marks in the wall. No usable outside space - There was a back garden but no access to it - the only access being via the side and back of the row of properties, which was not at all practical. There's a bench at the front facing an overgrown bush and overgrown brambles. Facilities were basic - no washing machine or dish washer. Parking wasn't ideal. There are spaces more or less in front of the property which is fine, if they are available. More than once these were all taken and we had to park at the other end of the site (by the refuse/recycling bins). There is a hotel on the side with restaurant and pool. We didn't use these facilities, the weather wasn't quite good enough for the outside pool and there are plenty of nice restaurants in the area to try. Charmouth, Lyme Regis, and the Jurassic coast is a lovely area. If you're loking for somewhere basic, then this is fine. Would we recommend it, not really, unfortunately, I am sure there are better properties for the price to rent in the area.

Hi Toby Thank you for your feedback. There is a washing/drying room on the Fernhill site so I will make sure that this is mentioned in the property information. We will prune the plants outside the front . We were unaware there was an issue with any brambles - apologies for this. It does mention in the property writeup about access to the back garden; the flip side to this is that there is a downstairs toilet which is helpful for many. We would describe the property as comfortable; this is our experience, and the feedback from the majority of people who have stayed there over the years. Best wishes. Jackie Property Owner

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at 50 Fernhill heights the proximity to Charmouth and Lyme Regis is brilliant."

The only thing that could be improved is somewhere to dry beach clothes as no washing line/dryer in the garden or dryer inside the house. The kitchen was very well equipped. A pint of milk and some water would have been nice when we arrived after a long journey. There was a little problem with the shower but that was fixed on our first day without needing to contact anyone. We stayed with our children who really loved the property.

Dear Emma Thank you for your feedback and glad you enjoyed your stay. We will buy a clothes airer. A welcome pack is provided to guests when they arrive. Best wishes. Jackie Property Owner
