"Not up to your usual standard of property lack of chairs in kitchen dining area."
Mattresses need replacing. Marked sheets in master bedroom. bath towels to small .cracked toilet in master bedroom. Pop up plug missing in sink. No razor points. general decoration needs maintenance.
-
"Pros: Clean, spacious, generally well equipped, lovely upstairs suite and very large, light sitting room with good views."
Enclosed garden for dogs, plenty of parking. Good as a base for the Jurassic coast in general. Cons: Poor accoustics so earplugs needed, quite sparsely decorated, poor blinds in downstairs bedrooms.

"Excellent accommodation but you need to be fit to manage the hills."
The garden in particular was perfect especially for our greyhound who loved it. Enjoyed the bath although shower over didn't really work and there were a few maintenance issues.Skylight in bathroom out of reach. But in general very happy and looking to return again. Charmouth is a lovely village.

"A lovely property with great views."
We had a great week in Charmouth staying at Pendower.. The house was very comfortable and well equipped. Great location, although the steep walk back to the house from the beach certainty kept us fit. Charmouth was a delight

"Nice large property & garden."
Would suggest the downstairs settee & upstairs chairs are rather tired & could be replaced as seem well worn. Definitely could do with some lighting on patio. Noted no DVDs or summerhouse as detailed in property's description. Overall very nice.

"Pendower is a lovely property in a beautiful position."
However it is not very friendly for older people as some of the basics are missing - handrails in the bathrooms and toilets and on both sides of the stairs - very low toilets - furniture that is too low and difficult to get up from. Four of our party were in their eighties and experienced real problems which severely detracted for our overall enjoyment of the property which was a pity as sitting on the balcony in the only comfortable chairs was a real joy.

"Excellent property in a beautiful location."
Warm & cosy with comfortable beds. Lovely enclosed private garden, not at all overlooked. Perfect for dogs. Well equipped property suitable for all ages. Excellent parking, easy access. An excellent all year round holiday property.

"Lovely holiday home so spacious."
.everything you need is there beautiful garden .wonderful view..enjoyed watching the rabbits in the garden!!! couldnt fault it!!! 10 min walk to shops and beach...only suggestion would be some outside lights for the evening ... didn't want to come home!!

"This is a good spacious property and pleasant to live in for a week or two."
The garden is large, well kept and secure. Six of us stayed there and none of us felt we were on top of one another. Pretty much everything you need is there. It is a good 20 minute walk down to the beach and a sharp uphill all the way back. If you're not keen on hills there are car parks at the bottom, at a cost! I'd certainly stay here again. Charmouth is worth visiting.

"An excellent well furbished property in an ideal position for coastal walking."
The large garden was ideal for taking the 'rays'. A 10 minute walk into small town of Charmouth and a15 drive into the larger town of Bridport

"Great welcome pack, however when the central heating broke down everyone pulled their weight LBH and the owners."
Only hic-cup was having to go through a third party at the start. Breakdown could not be anticipated and was dealt with as well as could be exspected. Patio doors need attention, very hard to close and lock to maintain security (may have been down to the damp?) but need some TLC
It was our pleasure to be of service, and apologies again for the disruption caused. We will take a look at the patio doors. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

"Excellent accomodation that was both warm and comfortable for 6 people."
Improvements would be more bin liners as one is insufficient for 6 people for the week and a small supply of 1 pint glasses for the beer drinkers amongst us! The only disappointment was the lack of recycling offered by the local authority where all recyclable waste is usually collected from properties.

"Really enjoyed our time at a lovely property Close to a lovely coastline."
-
"Lovely house and location."
Overall a pleasant place to stay. Great views. The stay would have been greatly enhanced by a shower in the upstairs bathroom. It was not great having to share 1 shower between 6 adults. Furnishing is minimal which makes the dining room uncomfortable for a family group. Take good walking shoes as very steep climb from the beach.

"Lovely house, bright and airy, made a home from home."
Good location to explore from and beautiful view.

"Property was brilliant and exactly as described/photographed."
Outside area very lovely, nice decking area for the evenings with views of the coast. Beds very comfortable and great to have a laundry room and 2nd fridge freezer. Nice welcome bag of goodies and booking process simple and keep up to date by Lyme Bay Holidays.

"Lovely house and garden and view."
Would be a great extra to have a shower screen and holder on wall in the upstairs bathroom The table blocks the view of the tv downstairs if you are sitting on the sofa All well kept apart from front door area outside, needs sweeping and a clean ,lots of moss and leaves Lovely welcome pack, had a lovely time and loved the property

The property
Boasting simply stunning sea views and just a short walk from the bustling seaside village of Charmouth in Dorset, is this charming split-level bungalow.
Pendower.
The ideal holiday destination for families or couples travelling together, Pendower rests in magnificent gardens which are a particular feature.
Safe and enclosed, the gardens are ideal for children (and dogs!) to run around in while the grown-ups can relax and soak up the captivating coastal views.
You can imagine spending many happy holiday hours out here on the veranda overlooking the gardens around the patio table enjoying eating and drinking alfresco and really getting into the vacation vibe.
The inside is as inviting as the outside with a bright and airy open-plan living space which has an extensive seating area, attractive patio doors opening onto the gardens, feature wood flooring, large picture windows and an elegant dining area, all set up ready to go for socialising and entertaining.
The beauty of the accommodation at Pendower is how flexible it is, and it even has an alternative space for chilling out if you want to get away from the hurly burly of the main house; an upstairs snug with loads of seating and a TV so you can relax in peace.
The kitchen is stylish and fully fitted with all the amenities you need to rustle up delicious food for your family and the perfect place to showcase some of the wonderful produce available locally.
When bedtime calls, guests can choose from any of the three wonderfully presented bedrooms; a king-size, a double and a twin.
All are welcoming and offer enchanting views.
Waking up in the morning is a joy at Pendower and after a refreshing shower or a relaxing soak in the bath, you can take your breakfast or coffee outside on the veranda and start planning the day’s activities.
Take a walk into Charmouth where you will find an interesting range of shops and amenities, a fantastic beach and the fascinating Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre.
Great family days out just a short drive from Charmouth include Tunnel Tree Tops high ropes and zip wire, Lyme Regis Treasure Hunt Trail, Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium, Axe Valley Wildlife Park and Burrow Farm Gardens.
You can’t come to Dorset and not have a day at the beach so pack a picnic and go fossil hunting at beaches such as Seatown, Charmouth, Chesil, West Bay and Weymouth.
For a truly memorable family holiday, Pendower ticks all the boxes.
