  • "Another very enjoyable stay at Pebbles with my elderly dog."

A very comfortable, well furnished and well equipped holiday home. Owners really have thought of everything that could be needed. My only quibble and a suggestion not a complaint is whilst I really appreciate the goodies left it would be much nicer for these to be local produce, especially as Dorset has some excellent products however this doesn't detract from the delight of receiving these. Will definitely be back to this lovely holiday home, thank you owners.

  • "I highly recommend this holiday home."

They have thought of everything you need to make your stay a comfortable home from home experience. Ideally, situated a short walk into West Bay, in a very quiet residential area.

  • "Second visit to Pebbles, we have enjoyed both stays immensely and would highly recommend."

.Ann and Paul in our opinion have put a lot of thought into the property and we are struggling to think of any negatives apart from one neighbour parking almost outside the front door but we don’t blame the owners for that inconsiderate behaviour can be found anywhere. The cottage is very comfortable and so peaceful, we are not dog owners but can see the attraction of those that are with an enclosed safe secure garden and local easy walks to West Bay and Bridport. We would love to come back and stay again if in the area and felt very much at home at Pebbles..Thank you and for the cake left for our arrival..Much appreciated.

House very comfortable well looked after and lovely facilities in there. Not far from The Harbour and walked everyday as had the dog with us. A nice walk though. Walk to Bridport took about 40 mins or so and straight route to walk A very comfortable home to stay in

A perfect house which had everything we needed to feel totally relaxed and at home. The location was fantastic to get to West Bay and Bridport on foot as so easy we didn’t need the car but Lyme Regis Dorchester and Weymouth are in easy reach. The owners have put a lot of thought in the property and it shows,we didn’t want to come home.We would like to stay again and will not hesitate to do so.. • "A lovely extremely comfortable, prettily decorated and very well equipped cottage."

Perfect for my elderly dog who loved the conservatory and garden, and the shed was so useful for storing her buggy. Owners were very helpful when I called with a query re the TV and which I soon sorted. Easy parking which is important in such a popular resort. And so nice to have so many essential bits supplied, even down to dog bowls and towels, very much appreciated. Will definitely be back again, owners have really gone out of their way to create a welcoming holiday home. Thank you for these touches.

Thank you very much for your kind review. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Property Owner

  • "We loved the property."

It had everything we needed and more. Everything was to an excellent standard, with some lovely touches e.g. dog towels. We had a very comfortable stay. The property was in an excellent location. The only single recommendation would be for black-out blinds in both bedrooms.

Thank you very much for your lovely review and we hope to welcome you back in the future. Property Owner

The property

Pebbles Foxglove Way is a charming, semi-detached property resting on the outskirts of West Bay and is an ideal destination for families, friends, couples or sharing couples and offers spacious living space, which has been tastefully furnished and decorated to reflect the locality, including the rope making town of Bridport. This delightful property features driveway parking as well as shed storage for bikes and is situated a short and level stroll into the heart of West Bay where you can admire the dramatic scenery of the Jurassic coastline alongside the harbour and beaches as well as enjoy the numerous cafes and restaurants. After a fun packed day in West Bay, whether it is lazing on the beach, a boat/fishing trip from the harbour, crabbing on the harbour wall, a challenging walk along the coast path or time spent in the award-winning Discovery Centre, return to your new home to relax.

A fully equipped kitchen/diner serves as the perfect spot to rustle up and tuck into a delicious home-cooked meal with your loved ones.

A conservatory with a dining table and chairs makes great spot to dine if you fancy a change of scenery, gazing out upon the peaceful lawned back garden.

You can even place the table and chairs on the patio if you prefer.

When you’re finished, kick back in the sitting room with a good book, enjoy a film on the Smart TV with Sky, or listen to your favourite music.

You may prefer to play games from the selection provided or plan your next day using the numerous local guide books and maps available for your use.

Once the sun sets, don’t forget to check out the dark skies in the back garden where you may be able to spot the Milky Way, then head upstairs to rest in one of two inviting bedrooms with quality linens, choosing between a plush super-king (6ft wide) bed or a well-appointed twin room, not forgetting the added luxury of the separate dressing room. Begin your days with a revitalising cleanse under the shower before you set out to explore more of Dorset. Enjoy time exploring the historic market town of Bridport which is a short drive away and offers a wonderful day out with more cafes, bars and restaurants, alongside quirky independent shops, antique and art centres and museum, plus the very popular twice weekly markets.

Why not board the Jurassic open topped coastal bus (seasonal) a short walk from the house and head to either Lyme Regis or Weymouth?

Enjoy a leisurely stroll around the streets and alleyways and famous Cobb of Lyme Regis, a popular coastal town a half hour drive west from Pebbles with many attractions for families.

Fossil hunting on Charmouth Beach is very popular but be very careful of falling cliffs! Head east along the Jurassic coast road for breath-taking views of the coastline, including Chessil Beach.

Stop off at Abbotsbury to explore the Subtropical Gardens, Swannery and Castle.

Further afield you can explore the delights of Weymouth and Portland.

For the more energetic, enjoy a walk along the South West Coast Path from your front door to enjoy breath-taking Dorset AONB.

Golden Cap provides views across to Dartmoor on clear days. Choose Pebbles West Bay to make your next visit one to remember.

About the location

WEST BAY

Bridport 1.5 miles; Lyme Regis 11 miles

West Bay, fondly known as “The Gateway to the Dorset Jurassic Coast” and popularised by the TV series Broadchurch, lies close to the glorious sandstone cliffs of Golden Cap, at the western end of the dramatic pebbly Chesil Beach. This is a wonderful seaside location, perfect for family holidays, offering scenic walks along the South West Coast Path, as well as ample opportunities to try your hand at sea fishing, crabbing, boating and golf. Visit the homes of Thomas Hardy and TE Lawrence, the Tank Museum at Bovington or the Naval air Museum at Yeovil. Only 1.5 miles away is the vibrant market town of Bridport, featured in the TV series, River Cottage. The area holds plenty of attractions to suit the whole family! Just a short drive West takes you to Charmouth for fossil hunting, to the picturesque seaside resort of Lyme Regis, and to River Cottage HQ near Axminster. To the East are the lovely Sub-tropical Gardens and Swannery at Abbotsbury, and the golden sands of Weymouth. This wonderful location makes an ideal base for a great family holiday.
