"We were disappointed with the condition of the property."
...furniture well past sell by date.....damp patches on outside walls....the courtyard garden was a run down area with old broken furniture. weeds and rubbish...our first time in dog friendly accommodation and are reluctant to book again if this is the standard....over priced and disappointed

"Great second stay-very convenient location-feels like home from home."
-
"The property absolutely stank of smoke ( apparently the owner is a heavy smoker ) also there are patches of mould on the walls due to lack of air flow in the bedroom ."
The window opens straight onto another property’s garden at ground level and you have to climb on the bed to even try and open it . We are now home and waging all our unworn clothing due to the fact they smell of mould . The property had not been cleaned to a high standard all touch points were absolutely black with dirt .

"Customer service very slow to get back to you."
Unable to shorten trip when amending trip dates. Property is lovely but Sykes could be better.

"We had an enjoyable stay at the cottage, everything was as described-clean and comfortable."
The location was great and we would recommend to anyone visiting Lyme Regis-in fact we may well book again!

"The property is a lovely little hideaway in an excellent location."
-
"The ground floor flat has a large kitchen and dining table, which is reasonably well-equipped."
It is located beside a graveyard about 5 minutes walk from the parking space, which is on the forecourt of a laundrette. The outside patio area gets sun in the afternoon and has garden seating. Unfortunately, the TV did not work during my stay.
We are pleased to say that the t.v. is now working again. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

"It was a great place to stay, super good location, great to have a parking spot, and the apartment was well thought out."
Not a clue how to get anything on the tv, but this was no bad thing as we resorted to the provided board games and the break was better for it!

"This property, although tricky to locate at first, is in an idilic location, right next to the sea & the Marine Theatre & the views are stunning."
The property itself is lovely, it has a homely feel from the minute to step in the door & into the large kitchen diner. You are met with a huge table & chairs & a massive very comfortable sofa, arm chair & wooden dresser. There is everything there that you would need for a comfortable stay. There are steep steps leading up to a lovely mezzanine area, which houses the TV & another 2 huge sofas, you will also find the hot water switch up there (I ventured up there once, but felt so comfortable downstairs, that’s where I spent my stay) There are 2 deep steps down to the bedroom & bathroom area, but I managed those just fine. The bathroom is a good size, with a shower over a bath & the bedroom is very cosy, with a comfortable bed. There is small courtyard that is just for the apartment, enclosed as long as you close the gate, it’s very pretty with lots of flowers in pots, I enjoyed my coffee out the in the mornings. The apartment is filled to the brim with fossils & other artefact's, which I loved & loads of interesting reading. The owners have supplied a superb handbook, as well a folder of instructions on how to use the appliances (a lot of them are digital) It is next door to the church & on Thursday evenings there is bell ringing practice for an hour, personally, I loved hearing it, but you might want to be out that evening if you don’t like it. All in all, I loved everything about my stay! Please note: I will point out though, that if you have mobility difficulties, this area is very hilly & there are steep steps in the apartment.

"Lovely cottage everything has been well thought out and some nice touches in the property"

"We loved it!"
The photos were accurate and the flat was beautiful. Also, the parking space proved to be invaluable. We arrived on the regatta day and every car park was full. Problem until we remembered the very clear instructions on where the parking space was, and how to get to it. The flat was both away from other properties as well as being really handy for the beach for a quick dip in the morning with the dog, and 5 minutes walk into the town centre. Also very close to the restaurants. Great location. Thanks so much, we really enjoyed our stay.

"Lovely cottage beautiful Lyme Regis and a very relaxing holiday"

"A wonderful tranquil location, Church Cliff Apartment is next to the church and graveyard where Mary Anning is laid to rest."
The ground floor apartment is one of 4 in the house and very close to the sea front. The little courtyard garden at the side of the property is very pleasant, and for your use only. It's full of flowers with a high stone wall for privacy and is a great suntrap with wooden chairs and tables. The apartment was very well equipped especially for cooking. The sun streams in through the patio doors in the afternoon and sunset, our little dog loved it here. The fossils around the apartment and garden added that extra touch, and we liked the big wooden table as the hub of the apartment. There was a slight cleanliness issue on arrival with a dusty kitchen/dining room floor, and grubby light switches, but after a quick wipe, we found the rest of the apartment was spotless. You have access to You Tube, Netflix etc on the TV once you've signed into your accounts along with Free View. The apartment has a great holiday vibe, solid wooden furniture, a memory foam mattress, deep bath, great shower head and room to put your things. It's very close to the town centre and peaceful at night. The neighbours are friendly and the sound of the church bells draw you through the graveyard onto a zig zag path down to the seafront and Mary Annings statue (5 minutes walk), which was relaxing in the evenings. The welcome hamper was delicious, crammed full of local goodies. We stayed for 1 week and would stay here again #happydays

"Great location, property had everything that we needed, I did find the cleaning lacking, cutlery that had clearly not seen a wash tlin the drawer and plates with dried food on, but a quick clean fixed this."
The property had a musty smell that I think comes through from the neighbouring properties which hits you as I walk in. The neighbours rubbish also was all over the floor most days, not very hygienic! Other than this issue which is out of your control, we had a wonderful stay.
