  • "Amazing stay at Hove To, it was a gorgeous holiday home with an amazing view and extremely comfortable furnishings."

We all had a fabulous time!

  • "Fabulous house in Lyme."

A couple of minutes walk to the main town and although on a main road there wasn’t any noticeable traffic noise, just noisy seagulls! The house was spotlessly clean and lovely and warm all day long, just what we needed for our wet Feb holiday. Plenty of hot water for six adults too. Parking was the only drawback. You can only park one car around the corner, away from the house. If you have more cars (we had three in total), they have to be parked in the long stay car park at the top of a hill at about £10 a day. I noticed other holiday cottage lets offer a parking permit - a house for six is likely to have more than one car!

  • "We found this lovely property was wonderfully located near both the town centre and also with easy access to the beach."

Having easy access to park our EV and charge it was also a great bonus, especially given the observation that Parking in Lyme Regus can be tricky at the best of times. We also, for those brave enough and willing, recommend the 6.5 mile undercliff walk to Seaton. The starting point is the costal path between bowling club and boat building car park ... follow it up and into the closest that the UK has to a rainforest.

  • "The drain in the stand alone shower on the 1st floor is blocked."

A switch on a light in the 2nd bedroom on the 1st floor is broken. Seal underneath Shower panel is degrading. The WiFi is shocking .... 0.5Mbps at times ... and needs addressing. On a personal note .... the gifts were appreciated, thanks, but it would have been a nice touch to leave milk and sugar

Thank you for reporting these maintenance issues to us, we will get them attended to. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "Unfortunately my bed was too hard and there were no mattress toppers so I had to sleep on pillows - but it’s not your fault I have fibromyalgia."

We all loved the shower cubical Could have done with a fan (I went out and bought one as it was too hot in all the rooms due to the heat - so you might want to add one for future guests. Parking was easy and much appreciated. I enjoyed the sea view from my bedroom window. Thank you

All positive except dishwasher wasn’t good, small leak from shower at the end of the week and a spare set of keys would be good

  • "The house was perfect."

It was in a good position for the sea, extremely well equipped, very comfortable and clean and my 'nana in the attic' room with a balcony was a wonderful escape space.

  • "We had a great time staying at Hove To."

It was lovely to have lots of space to relax in. The house had great facilities and a lovely spacious kitchen. The kitchen has everything you needed and more. It was a great location for the beach and town to be able to pop back in the daytime. There was lovely playground almost opposite for the kids to burn off any excess energy in the evening. The garden was very well maintained. We would be book again to stay in the future.

  • "The house was lovely & very ŵell equipped."

Everywhere was very clean & the living areas were roomy. The twin bedded room was small & the beds were very narrow - ideal for children but not really suitable if two adults were sharing. With only one parking space it was rather inconvenient to have to go to the other car every morning to put a parking ticket on & £10 a day was an added expense. Maybe a permit could be issued by the owners. Overall though a very pleasant stay.

Thank you for your kind comment, we are very glad that you enjoyed your stay at Hove To. We aim to be completely transparent with our property listing which is why we state that the beds are 2’6” wide. Parking in Lyme Regis is like gold dust, so we are delighted to be able to offer a parking space with Hove To with electric charging if needed. The nearby car park does offer remote payment to save guests walking to their extra car each day. We very much hope to welcome you back soon. Property Owner

Beds particularly comfy. Great location. Only down was that there were no Xmas decorations -very small point but we’ve stayed in a few cottages at new year & having the Xmas stuff makes it feel special.

  • "Property was great overall."

There was a small intermittent leak when the shower was used which dripped through a light socket in the kitchen but it did not do this all the time. Also just one space for a property that sleeps 8 is disappointing as we paid a fortune in parking for the second car.

Thank you for your comments saying the property was great overall. Regarding the other comments: we would hope the clients do not allow large amounts of water to over-spill onto the bathroom floor. Regarding parking: the property is advertised with 1 parking space. Long term parking is available a few minutes away in the Charmouth Road public car park at £6 per day Property Owner

  • "Our stay at Hove To was pleasant and comfortable and accessing the property couldn’t have been easier."

The whole family slept well each night. The property was equipped with a good range of kitchen facilities and there is enough space to feel like you’re not on top of each other.

  • "The key safe for the front door key was really difficult to open - not what you need after a 4 hour drive!"

Please repair or replace it. The beds weren’t zipped together as requested and there was no info for the code for the car charger for which we had paid. Both these issues were sorted after some phone calls. The parking was not clear from the instructions and the sign was not clear - make it larger and more prominent. It was quite a tight squeeze when the other property put 3 cars into the remaining space!
