"I have given a thumbs down to the accuracy of the listing because it was not made clear to me on the website that not only is there no parking at Ivy Cottage, there is no access for a car."
We arrived and departed in pouring rain and had to make several trips each time to unload and then reload the car. Up a hill. Carrying bags and bags of things. My legs are not what they used to be (I am 72) and while I found the stairs in the cottage OK, walking to the car like that was not. We also were taken aback that the car parking for a week added more than £100 to our holiday. We enjoyed the cottage otherwise.

Be welcomed by a quaint front garden full of shrubs and a purple door as you unpack from the near by car parking and enter the property.
After a long journey, make your way into the sitting/dining room where you will be able to rest your feet in one of the stylish grey sofas, marvelling at the tasteful renovation within the cottage where white walls and wooden flooring mixes with the traditional wooden roofbeams and fireplace to create a space full of character, and there is a dining table for all guests to enjoy a heart-warming meal together beside the large bay windows that draw in the natural light from outside.
When stomachs start to rumble, a well fitted kitchen with wooden furniture and roofbeams creates a great space for the designated chef to try out local produce.
Climb the steep stairs to find two bedrooms, a double with fresh décor, tasteful wooden doors and a lot of storage and a bunk room with a fantastic bare stone wall allowing an insight into the history of this building, along with a spacious bathroom.
Enjoy the potted plants with a cup of tea outside in the mornings before heading out to explore the local area.
