"A great place to stay in beautiful Lyme Regis."
We'll be back!
-
"We had a lovely stay at little bay view - it has an incredible view and lovely terrace."
The apartment has everything you need for a short stay and enough space. Our only issue was the sofa bed mattress - this had a lot of springs and wasn’t especially comfortable, but fine for a few nights. We had requested the sofa bed to be made up which it wasn’t, but this was easy to do ourselves. It’s an easy, quick walk from the centre and the beach too (although hilly!). With better mattresses, we would definitely return!

"Most fantastic place to stay - we have already booked for next year."
Thank you so much for your feedback. We are very glad you had a lovely time and look forward to welcoming you again at Little Bay View next year! Chris Property Owner

"We loved our stay!"
It was very cozy. We enjoyed being close to town (though we did use our car instead of braving that hill!). The only thing I'd note is that the pub next door has live music on Saturday nights which goes until midnight and can be rather loud from the bedroom.

"Overall the apartment was really lovely however whilst there was a coffee machine there didn’t appear to be a kettle and the temperature of the water from the coffee machine wasn’t that hot."
Also the bathroom blind was damaged on our arrival resulting in the neighbours above you being able to see directly into the bathroom so privacy was a massive issue and needs to be addressed.
We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed your holiday. Sorry to hear about the blind, our team would have attended to repair it during your stay. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

"We loved it all but wasn't aware of the bedroom being basement level which was ok for that time of year but I would not want to leave my window open at night as anything, including rain, could get in."
So hot weather would have been an issue for us.

"This was a beautiful apartment, I have never seen one so well equipt , it had everything and more."
BUT I didn’t realise entry was down 4 steep steps, or a steep side entrance, Nearest parking a good half a mile uphill, and very expensive, for all day parking a daily rate £10. So you have to keep going to replenish it. Parking by the beach £1.60 per hour. Over 13 days very expensive. We are disabled pensioners, and I didn’t do my homework, the flat is at the top of a very steep hill, too steep for us to walk up or down .
Lyme is rather hilly! The public car-park does offer the facility to purchase a weekly ticket at the machine. Thank you for your kind comments about the apartment, we're pleased that you enjoyed your time here. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

"We enjoyed our stay very much, we were very lucky with the weather."
The apartment was very clean and tidy, the sea view was lovely, and it must be lovely to sit out on the terrace when it is warmer. The welcome pack was much appreciated thankyou. We found the towels were thin and small, I would have brought my own had I known, also a couple of foot stools in the lounge would make it more comfortable.

"We were very happy with everything (including the surprisingly good weather!"
). It's a nicely kept, bright flat, exactly what we thought we were getting from the description and the photos. We were only there for four nights but we had a very nice time.

"Sofa sagged in the middle a bit but otherwise all good"

"Very homely place, spacious and with nice decor, great views and easy walk into Lyme Regis."
Was let down by the lack of cleanliness - dog hair everywhere (and no surprise when I tried using the ancient vacuum stored in the cupboard and found it was next to useless). Also had to wash all the utensils before using. The noise from the traffic at the front was terrible, as the windows of the bedroom were at the same level as the pavement/ car tyres, so would recommend earplugs if staying here.
Hello, Thank you for your feedback. We have passed your comments regarding cleanliness & the vacuum cleaner onto the agents that run the property for us, and asked them to investigate and take the necessary steps to avoid this happening again. The Owners, Little Bay View Property Owner

"We absolutely loved our stay at Little View Bay - location is perfect for everything in Lyme Regis."
The outside terrace is definitely a huge thumbs up from us - decking does need a little tlc but it was so lovely to sit out there with such gorgeous views. The welcome pack was a lovely added extra too and the kitchen was fully stocked with nice quality appliances and crockery etc. I do think that the bedding, pillows and duvet do need upgrading to match the rest of the property but that was the small “mark down” on my overall review. In saying that we would return and recommend!
Hello, Thank you for your response and we a glad you enjoyed your stay. We are aware of the issue regarding the decking and are having the work done at the end of this season. The Owners, Little Bay View. Property Owner

Such a lovely place to stay, in the heart of lovely Lyme Regis, I would highly recommend this property and hope to come again, thanks so much

"Lovely flat, very comfortable, with everything you need for an enjoyable stay."

"We enjoyed a fabulous week in our chosen property."
It looked lovely in the photos and on arrival, exceed our expectations. The view from the decking was amazing, unfortunately the decking was rotten in places and my chair leg fell down a hole when I sat down! which was a little unnerving. Some wire fencing around the roped off area at, the edge of the decking would have been an advantage, as Phoebe was keen to search out the smells in the hedge beyond!! The welcome pack was a very generous and unexpected treat, thank you. The property was furnished to a high standard throughout, with a really comfortable bed, nice linen and towels etc On arrival the newly fitted bifold door was stiff to open and close, (guests might need to be warned of this, as it takes a good tug to open) On using the shower for the first time, the temperature control appeared to be stuck on hot. We did finally manage to adjust the temperature, thankfully. There was also an oversight, with no towels having been left at the property, but this was quickly rectified, thank you. The instructions for rubbish were to put the bin out in a Thursday evening, for a Friday collection. However the bin was put out on Monday evening, by other guests/owners and emptied on Tuesday and returned inside the gate. We then put our rubbish out on Thursday, as instructed, but the bin was brought in again, on Friday morning, un-emptied, by someone else. Perhaps the bin collection has now changed from Fridays to Tuesdays?? The position of the property was perfect for walking up and down into town and parking was not an issue, either on bays adjacent to the property, or on a nearby street. We would definitely recommend and return

"Had a nightmare getting in and out of the property due to a problem with a new door that had recently been fitted."
To be fair they were trying to arrange for the door fitters to come and sort it out but unfortunately they were on holiday apparently. Also the side gate never latched easily and in the end we just wedged it shut with a rock behind it. Property itself was clean and compact

"Delightful apartment well located in the town."
Spotlessly clean with modern, good quality furnishings. Some noise transmits from the apartment upstairs and but nothing excessive. There is an uphill climb from the sea front but worth it for the view from the living room. We are in our 70's but managed it okay. Nice unexpected welcome pack and milk in the 'fridge. Would most certainly stay there again. Lyme Bay Holidays great to deal with and very helpful when we locked ourselves out. Their representative was there in minutes to sort us out. Highly recommended.
