  • "Spent a week in one of these cottages couldn't fault them for anything ,well equipped everything you need."

Great food and company in the pub (Burcott Inn),the property owners couldn't do enough for us, looking to go again in the near future. All the things you need for a great stay beautiful surroundings, private parking, pub next door.5 mins from Wells

  • "More information in cottage needed re local drs, buses, where to put rubbish, recycling."

Local shop directions. There was no information in the cottage and no visitors book which we enjoy for local recommendations etc.

  • "Had a lovely stay at The Paddock."

The owners are very nice and attend to any need you may have. Parking at the door is great. Loads of places to visit, like Wells, Clarks Outlet Village, Glastonbury are all easy to get to. The cottage itself is very comfortable and we'll equipped. My only small suggestion, not a criticism, would be the inclusion of ironing facilities. We will definitely visit again when in the area. PS the owners dog, Barry, becomes a friend for life. ☺☺

  • "Although very convenient for visiting the local area I did feel the chalet was very basic and would benefit from a refresh the shower seemed dated and the absence of a recycling facility should be rectified as all my waste had to go into a pedal bin."

Overall my stay was fine but on reflection considering the cost and I know it's August I feel the accommodation could have been better.

  • "Small and cosy cottage."

Very convenient for Wells. We enjoyed our stay in The Paddock. We had lovely meals at Burcott Inn. The only suggestion we would make is to put a welcome book in the cottage explaining everything you need to know in the cottage and things to see and do around the area.

  • "Great facility - location; amenities; all round quality holiday let."

No issues whatsoever with the property. However, I had a simple request to do with a possible delay to the day of arrival which turned into minor hassle due to Sykes procedures. I called to say I might be arriving the morning after the booked day & simply asked what collection arrangements would be if this was a reasonable time during the Sunday morning but before the 12 o'clock advertised opening time of the owners' adjacent pub. Given my booking actually started at 3pm the day before, I didn't appreciate being told by 1 of Sykes staff that they'd have to see 'if' I could collect the key before 12 the following day. It subsequently took nearly 2 weeks to get this resolved by which time I ended up booking somewhere on the Friday night to travel on the Saturday. Was told it was some sort of issue to do with releasing a contact 'phone number - a 'phone number's available on the pub website.

The property was perfect for touring the local area, the food was very good in the pub and we would recommend anyone to stay here and explore Somerset. Wells was really lovely although Glastonbury was a bit on the odd side.

  • "Lovely little cottage for couples."

Even though the cottage is behind the pub, very quite and relaxing. Pub meals are a must, as delicious and homemade, the chips are amazing!! Barry the Boxer is also a resident in the pub but very friendly and just wants to say hello

  • "Nicely situated with views over the fields but close to the pub also."

All four accomadations were occupied and everyone was friendly which added to the holiday. Barry the boxer dog says 'hello' to everyone and is very good natured, not a problem if you are not a 'dog' person as he is well behaved! The accomadation is compact but perfectly adequte and well stocked for two people for a week. A bench outside or somewhere to sit out other then the pub garden would be an advantage. Excellent home made dinners served in evening at the pub. Would deffinitley recommend.
