• "Beautiful location and comfortable spacious cottage."

  Well equipped kitchen and extended garden room looking out onto enclosed garden. Welcome pack on arrival was much appreciated after a long journey! There are two pubs within 5 min walk where we had two great meals. Hive beach 20 mon walk away with cafe and breakfast. We had a slight issue with washing machine. We ran a small white wash but machine failed to drain, likely due to previous use. The maintainance team were there within an hour to fix it.thankyou.Booking and queries were easy and team very helpful. A lovely relaxing week exploring Dorset.

• "Wow! What a lovely place to stay."

  Beautiful layout with everything you need. Very cosy, it felt like home. Thank you for the welcome pack too! Beautiful area with lots to do and see. Saturday market was quite a size and many interesting stalls to browse. We loved the shops in town, beaches and fish & chips. Farm shop was very good too. We would return for sure! I would've loved some history of the house in the guest info folder. Many thanks from all of us.

• "Beautiful cottage which was wonderfully located in Burton Bradstock (short walk to the Three Horseshoes and Hive cafe easily reachable)."

  Super welcome pack- very much appreciated by all. The attention to detail in the cottage was lovely, a real home from home with all the bedrooms super comfortable. The main bedroom was if anything a little too warm even with the radiators turned down! We just opened the windows for a little while before sleeping. Kitchen was very well equipped and the Aga though traditional looking is electric so fully controllable. We had a really lovely few days stay in ‘Twixtmas’ and highly recommend Stable Cottage.

  Lovely welcome pack with local goods. Anchor Inn and Horse Shoe pubs both fab food, loved the friendly vibe of the village too and agreed we will be coming back again with family.

  L.c shower area most taps leaking unable to turn off taps in main bathroom. And sofas very tired.but it is a beautiful cottage and our second visit .owners are very accommodating.

• "We have had a wonderful stay at Stable cottage."

  The village is ideally situated in the beautiful village of Burton Bradstock, with a short walk to Hive beach and two fantastic pubs ( food was fantastic) The cottage was extremely comfortable and well equipped. The garden was an added bonus to sit and relax in at the end of a busy day exploring the surrounding areas! I would recommend Stable Cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing stay and wanting to explore the beautiful coastline of Dorset.

• "Lovely cottage in a great location , village was really pretty and peaceful."

  Facilities were outstanding and extremely comfortable. Lots to do in local area, weather was also very pleasant while we were there. Owner lives in the village and he called one day to have a chat, very pleasant fellow. Would strongly recommend!

• "Stable Cottage is beautiful, it's the perfect place to stay in Burton Bradstock."

  Our family of four were very comfortable during our stay, the cottage had everything we needed. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and we throughly enjoyed it. During our stay we enjoyed walks around the village and to Hive Beach, along with day trips to Charmouth, Lyme Regis, Bridport and Weymouth. Dinner at The Three Horseshoes was fantastic as always, and the fish and chip van on Thursday night was a bonus.

• "This is a great cottage in Burton Bradstock, which is thoughtfully designed and decorated."

  The modern extension is a triumph and the main bedroom is much larger than the photos show, so that there is no problem with sloping roof or low beams. Our only irritation is the request to strip the beds, bag up towels etc on day of departure - it's a busy last morning packing up without this extra chore. This would not put us off returning though!

• "A beautiful cottage with good facilities."

  It was very comfortable, and well-maintained. The location was great too - easy to get to, with good parking and a close walk to the Burton Bradstock beach. We definitely will come back again!

• "Kitchen and lounge areas well up to speed and satisfactory in every way - upstairs only suitable for 2 adults plus children because of sloping ceilings."

  Bathroom shower space again compromised- both showers produced very low results and performance. Very disappointed not to receive Welcome Pack, especially when as we were leaving the next guests pack arrived- she assured us ours had been delivered on Saturday 30/9! It should also be noted that fire extinguishers were 3 years out of warranty- not good in a thatched cottage!

  I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay as much as you would have liked. In response to your feedback, we will: Look to change the shower heads. Add a note to the booking details about the sloping ceilings. My apologies about the welcome pack, I removed it believing it had been left by the previous guests. • "We had a lovely stay."

  The location is amazing and is local to the beach, a great pub (the three horseshoes) and plenty of walks. We stayed with our 2 year old and 2 month old. The master bedroom is big enough to fit a travel cot and my 2 year old slept in a double bed. The door handles are high enough that he couldn’t leave the room which was good as no stair gate. The kitchen was well equipped and we received a lovely welcome pack, but there were no basic items provided such as, olive oil, salt, pepper, dishwasher tablets, or washing machine tablets. We had to keep our 2 year old out when cooking as the Agar gets hot to touch, but this wasn’t a problem and the sun room had plenty of space for him to play with his toys. We really enjoyed our time at the property and the village it’s located in is very quaint. We would definitely return again!

I am sorry that there were no basic grocery items provided, we questioned this with Lyme Bay holidays and were advised that since Covid nothing could be left. I have spoken to them again and we have agreed that we can leave some basic grocery items as long as we check the dates.
