  • "Excellent cottage."

Clean and furnished simply but well. Great to have host on the premises. The lounge needs to be a bit more homely and a nice touch would be a folder with cottage information as well a comments book. Overall a fantastic comfortable Indian summer week with easy access to walks and surrounding attractions.

  • "The Stables is as good as it looks in the photos."

It's spacious, modern despite the old world stone built charm, loaded with home comforts, pristine clean and tidy - Five stars for Pauline! Peter, is friendly and approachable, and his pre arrival communications, which were appreciated. Great location, with only two to three minutes slow walk to my favourite pub, The Three Horseshoes, and the PostOffice/Farm Shop. After 30+ years visiting this area, this home from home, is a firm favourite. Highly recommended.

  • "A beautiful spacious cottage in a great location to explore the local area."

Great walks along the coastal path, big waves at West Bexington and Seatown. The Anchor at Seatown serves great food, right on the beach with a good hike up on to Golden Cap. Thank you for the fizz, flowers and chocolate!

  • "My family & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful property."

Peter was very friendly & helpful. We really appreciated the Prosecco, flowers, fruit & chocolates. The cottage was immaculate & very comfortable. We would recommend the Three Horseshoes pub which was two minutes walk away.

Pauline and I are very grateful for your review, recognising that you have dedicated time and thought when you returned home - thank you very much indeed. We are very fortunate to have a choice of four restaurants to dine in the village. As you remark, the Three Horseshoes is very close and pleases our guests, not only for their extensive menu, but also supplmentred by their friendly staff.. We wish you and your family all the very best for the festive season. Best Wishes - Pauline and Peter Property Owner

  • "We had a really lovely stay in this pretty, brilliantly located cottage."

It was beautifully equipped, very comfortable, and the discount at the wonderful Hive Beach Cafe was a lovely treat. If feedback is helpful, the only tiny critique I would make is that the kitchen table cloth kept sliding off the table: we were sorry to break a glass the first time it did it, when it took out the half done jigsaw the second time, we were really sorry! But that is an incredibly small point. This is a wonderful cottage in a perfect spot.

We are very fortunate to welcome guests to our cottages who are both kind and considerate. This makes it so worthwhile for us, as their hosts. We are fortunate to live in a beautiful village located on the Jurassic Coast, comprising four restaurants, each with a well-stocked bar, two beaches, two shops, a church, library and a garage. Pauline and I have spent our holidays here for several decades, we never tire of it's attractions, natural beauty and friendliness. Property Owner

  • "The property was just what I was looking for, all fixtures and fittings were high quality, in great condition and thoughful."

The wifi was good given the signal is not very good generally the further west you go. The owner was friendly, welcoming and informative. The location was great, close enough to the pubs and village shop but also not on the main road, essentially on sunny day and bank holidays! I will certainly be using this cottage again and would recommend it to friends or family without hesitation. Thank you, Leigh

Leigh - your feedback is superb, and hopefully will help those folks who are considering a holiday along the Jurassic Coast. Thank you very much. Although we're reapting ourselves, we have spent our anual holidays here in Burtoon Bradstock, even when we were living on mainland Europe. To travel west alolng the coaast road at sunset offers a unique view of Lyme Bay, and the resorts adjacent to the sea. Once again, many thanks Leigh, we look forward to welcoming you again soon. • "Enjoyed a wonderful holiday in the Stables, Burton Branstock and would love to return."

The owner was very helpful advising us that we could check in to the cottage early and was able to give us advice on the local pubs and best walking routes to the adjacent beaches. The welcome pack of wine, flowers and biscuits were very much appreciated. The cottage was spacious and well equipped with top of the range appliances and the two bathrooms and extra toilet were handy with six guests. The location in the village was extremely convenient for the two local pubs and shops as they were only minutes away However, there were a few things that I think could improve the cottage. There was no artwork on the walls and things like books and games in the lounge leaving the ambience somewhat sterile. There were no door stops leading to the some of the walls being damaged. Clothes hooks on the back of the bathroom doors would have been handy as would waste paper bins in the bedrooms. But apart from these few things the Stables is definitely the best cottage we have ever stayed in.

  • "Very lovely cottage and very helpful owner."

We had a wonderful stay. The only thing I would point out is that there isn't a garden just a small patio area with this property which you reach via some small steps, currently this is just sorround by brick walls, so not very attractive, it could do with some planters or something. The property itself was immaculate. Our neighbours one side were very loud and we could here children crying during the night. (But that's a one off) we will definitely be returning.

  • "We were impressed with both the location and the facilities at the Stables."

It is ideally situated for the local pubs (a 2 minute walk) and very near to two excellent beaches, Hive beach and West bay. Abbotsbury Tropical Gardens, which was delightful, is about 15 minutes drive. The Stables is beautifully finished and the fittings and furniture are extremely comfortable with everything provided, a real home from home. We were very lucky with the weather, but still took the opportunity to use the wood burner for a cosy evening in after a delicious Sunday lunch at the local pub.

  • "The quality of the property is exceptional."

The bonus compared to other properties visited is the quantity of crockery and cutlery allowing full use of the dishwasher. This ensures very little holiday time wasted washing up. Owner went out of his way to ensure full awareness of all local facilities and was very helpful and flexible due to our delayed arrival way beyond any expectation. We will be back.
