  • "The property was amazing and we loved it."

But the hot water & radiators was a real problem for our first 24 hours. Which spoilt the experience. Plus the microwave did not work. We were offered a replacement Saturday afternoon but we had no laptops with us and did not get this until arriving home.. this was our first booking a self catering property and think it would make us a little unsure to try again. We are regular visitors throughout the year as our grandson sails from the Academy. Which is very close walking distant of the property. Plus the views were amazing so a little disappointed.

  • "We had a very enjoyable stay at Sunset View."

We spent alot of time watching the activities around the marina and heliport, and awesome displays of kite, wind and wing boarding at the nearby watersports centre. Unusually there was no contact with the owners, however we must say that the apartment itself is very clean, comfortable and welcoming, which certainly helped us achieve a relaxing break re-charging our batteries

Extremely comfortable, great location and amazing views

  • "Lovely well kept apartment, clean and comfortable."

Excellent position for the most wonderful views. Only negative is the external building is very very tired. Not owners fault but on approaching the block we were filled with dread. Luckily inside is beautiful and well maintained. Would definitely revisit.

  • "On arrival, the rented property was filthy; stains everywhere, dirty surfaces and disgusting carpet and bathrooms (you couldn't walk anywhere barefoot)."

The apartment also had a sweaty odour. The communal areas were also filthy and smelly. The second issue was that the ensuite toilet did not flush properly. The third issue was that I was being bitten in the night (and at no other time so it was something in the bed). I wasted more than half of my holiday waiting for cleaners, maintenance and pest people and none of the issues were fully resolved. The Sykes call handlers had zero empathy or willingness to help. When you spend £1000, you expect better than this. In fact, I considered moving after the first day and saw much nicer properties on Airbnb for the same money. My holiday has been ruined and I would like compensation.

  • "The apartment itself is very nice, lovely towels and bedding provided."

Nice shower. The baking trays need to be replaced and there is no can opener. The apartment block is unwelcoming on the outside and the planters on the balcony are just full of weeds!? Just remove, or make nice! The location is great and the view is stunning. We left a day earlier as felt under pressure to be out before 10.00am. Location is very good. D Day museum locally, is the best!

  • "Wonderful apartment, fantastic views."

I think that you should allow a second car on premises because we had 2 cars my brother and his wife from Hereford, and me and my wife from plymouth so we both come different ways, and I had to park my car in a safe place 3 miles away, even if I had to pay extra.

  • "Well appointed luxury flat."

My only issue was position of the TV as you could hardly see it at night due to the very bright sunset.Other windows had black out curtains but this relevant window had a light coloured blind.Small price to pay for Sunset View.

  • "Great apartment……."

Pity the whole block is looking tired and uncared for.

  • "A lot of externally generated noise."

The apartment is opposite a heli-port! Also when cruise ships are in port the noise of double decker buses going past the apartment every 10-15 mins is, at times, unbearable. This apartment would not be suitable for people who are noise sensitive. The windows are filthy and due to the dirt on the balcony and the noise, you cannot sit outside. Also, on arrival we did not realise that the barrier fob is also for the apartment block - this needs to be made clear on the key collection information.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay - it was a great apartment, comfortable beds and everything we needed was supplied."

My granddaughter was doing a week long course at the Sailing Academy and this was an ideal location with wonderful views - shame about the weather as the views would have been even better but it was February! It was good to be able to use the pool and all the staff I had communication with were really helpful and friendly. Many thanks !

We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for the feedback. You must return in summer when the sun shines. It’s beautiful. Chris & Anne. Property Owner
