"I thought there was a hairdryer listed, I didn't take one but there wasn't one."
A nice bar area but no corkscrew but these are minor issues. Our main quibble about the cottage was the parking. We were informed parking was available on the street subject to availability. All but one of the parking spaces were private so we thought it would be OK to park here, it was very dangerous to park on the street where there are no yellow lines. Someone else did this and I stepped out of the door onto the pavement and was nearly run over by a car which had mounted the pavement to get past. We went out for the day got back around 7 pm only to find that a car had parked over the two spaces to stop anyone parking there obviously a disgruntled neighbour which we thought was very childish. If we were not allowed to park there why was there no sign or we would have moved our car if asked. We spent the next hour looking for a space, there were none in the car parks recommended and there never was throughout our stay. We had to park each day in the Masons car park at least a quarter of a mile away which was quite a trek with shopping, etc. It didn't spoil our holiday we really loved the cottage but it was an issue, a space should be available for a car.

"On arrival, after an horrendous hill climb(not ideal for the elderly of infirm), we found the flat at rear of other properties up a concrete stairway, which requires the hand rail to be replaced."
The accomodation was nicely decorated, although it had family photographs, which seemed very odd. The information pack which should have been readily visible was inside a wicker basket and not advertised. In the kitchen we found fridge and freezer was stocked with what we could only describe as the owners own food, there was also hard with rice. The frying pan was old and scratched, which is not good for cooking. Items advertised in kitchen were not there, ie air frier. In living are (bar/ dining ) there was bottles of wine, again appeared to be owners own. There were no oven gloves and only one tea towel and towels for bath room. The rubbish and recycling bins were full and the occupants from cottage 4 were depositing there rubbish as well. The gardens and outdoors were refreshing and well maintained. The sunroom was exceptional, and very relaxing. Overall the cons overtook the pro's. Carparking and relaying luggage very stressful.
