"Lovely, cosy accommodation."
A great base to see the local area. As a lone traveler it was reassuring to have the owners nearby.

"A very friendly welcome and an excellent stay."
Small but perfect! The cherry on the cake was the farm shop 5 minutes walk away...
Dear Mark Thank you both for your comments. I am very pleased to know you enjoyed your stay here. Jane Property Owner

Comfortable accommodation and excellent value for money.

"The cottage really suited us."
It was very comfortable and cosy and easy to manage. The owners were very helpful and friendly. We loved it being the most “rules free” property we’ve stayed in, although hopefully we adhered to anyvthere might have been with rubbish, leaving the cottage in good order etc. we would certainly return if we still have a car!

"The cottage is in a fabulous location to visit a lot of places, including National Trust ones."
It is very easy to find and has good parking. There are a lot of shops, farm shops and lovely pubs in the locality. The views from the cottage are beautiful. The cottage is comfortable, very clean and the kitchen is well stocked with equipment/ utensils. We loved the charming William Morris decor which fitted the cottage perfectly. Highly recommend.
Thank you Ilona. I am glad you had such a good week, especially as the weather was unsettled Property Owner

"We thoroughly enjoyed our week here, the annex was just like the photos."
The owners were very welcoming. The bed was huge and so comfortable with high quality bedding. The only negative (and we're nit-picking here) was the lack of footrest for the sofa, but that won't put us off highly recommending the annex , it's a lovely place in a fantastic area.
-
"Very nice accommodation in a true farm setting."
Somerton is just a five minute drive away with the most convenient free parking and access to shopping and pubs that we have come across.
-
"All round good value as we fitted in with a quiet few days between bookings which suited us well."
Sadly we left behind some useful food items and vits.
-
"Beautifully located self contained annexe."
Clean with all you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Jane was extremely helpful whilst ensuring you also had your privacy. We're looking forward to a return visit soon!
-
"A very well set up annexe with everything you need to hand."
Jane and David were very welcoming and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. The only drawback was the stairs which were narrow and steep.
-
"400yr old farmhouse ideally situated for Wells,Street,Glastonbury, and Cheddar gorge,The property was clean and tidy with a huge bed which was very comfortable."
Excellent Wi-Fi.Small kitchen area but had everything you needed.Shared access was little noisy at times. We would stay again.
-
"Lovely little property, comfortable for two, characteristic, hosts are lovely and helpful."
Me and my partner loved our stay and the bed is very comfortable. Whilst the kitchen is small, everything you need to cook on and with, and more is there. We would return without doubt
-
"Accommodation was excellent value for money and the owner was very friendly and helpful without being intrusive."
We plan to visit again next year

"A lovely farmhouse, nicely decorated, in a beautiful setting, perfectly situated."
However, definitely not suitable for elderly or infirm couples as on the 1st floor & accessed via a very steep, narrow staircase. Also quite noisy as the owner's accommodation is attached as is the housing for a boiler which kicks in about 5.00am. The shared entrance hall is busy. The kitchen is tiny but well stocked. The bedroom is large & lovely with a very comfortable bed. Nice shower room.

"Clean accommodation in a central location."
Easy to get about whether you want to visit National Trust/English Heritage properties, local towns or just go walking. As shown in the photographs the living/kitchen area is very small and accommodation accessed by very steep stairs off a shared access hall which forms part of the farmhouse so is in constant use. Private parking with plenty of space to park. Soft garden chairs are available for use in a grassed area at the front of the farmhouse.

"This is our second visit to Lower Farm Annexe and hopefully will not be our last."
We received a very warm welcome from Jane and David. The accommodation, although not large is very comfortable and welcoming. It had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Lots of places to visit in the surrounding area, although a little more difficult at present due to Covid restrictions as some places had to be pre-booked.

"Lovely accommodation, charming owners, and located in a lovely part of Somerset."
Particularly comfortable bed. Lovely to have milk, butter, fresh bread, and home made jam there on our arrival.
-
"Jane and David were excellent hosts, nothing was to much trouble."
We were very disappointed with the kitchen area. My wife loves to cook and was frustrated by being self catering and not being able to cook much other than breakfast. The stairs up to the annex were quite steep and there was no outside seating were we could enjoy the fabulous weather on as evening with a glass of wine. We were greeted with homemade bread, jam and milk. The annex was spotlessly clean and the bedroom very comfortable and an excellent shower room. What a shame that we would possibly not return.

"We were made very welcome and the hosts were excellent, especially as we arrived later than expected due to bad traffic on the A303."
Access to the property is a little tricky but it has a lot of old world charm and comfort. The kitchen is small for two people to work in together but has everything needed for a stay. Overall the property is just right for a couple who are wanting to be out exploring for most of the time and needing a comfortable base. Thank you for having us.

"We had a warm welcome from Jane, who gave us the essentials of milk, butter and a homemade loaf and jar of jam when we arrived."
We found a cosy, warm first floor apartment with countryside views which was spotlessly clean and had a well equipped kitchen area. The farm is situated in a beautiful part of South Somerset and is a good base for visiting nearby National Trust properties as well as Glastonbury and Wells.
-
"Jane and David were very helpful and informative being on hand if needed."
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday finding lots to do in the vicinity. Accommodation clean ,cosy and with every needed for our stay. Would recommend to others .

"Stairs leading to accommodation not very easy for those with mobility problems."
Stairs steep and narrow.

"We have enjoyed a very relaxing few days away at Lower Farm."
The property is quirky and full of character , very clean , comfortable and in a great location for visiting Wells, Glastonbury and the beautiful nature reserves in the area. The entrance hall has a great log burner to greet you and a drying room for muddy boots , and the apartment had everything we needed ( including a hairdryer). The kitchen is small but very well equipped and we ended up cooking in every evening although there are plenty of local pubs to eat at as well . There is a well stocked Co-op in Somerton just down the road which did us fine. The bedroom is spacious with a really comfortable bed , and we appreciated the nice big white towels in the bathroom. Jane is a lovely host - warmly welcoming and helpful without being in the least bit intrusive . All in all this is a lovely place for a relaxing get away , and we hope to go back at some point.
-
"A lovely welcome for us on arrival from the owner, home made crab apple jam with butter and bread for us to enjoy with milk tea and coffee."
The cottage was really comfortable with everything that was needed, the biggest bed we had ever slept in was a bonus. Thank you

"Jane & David really made us feel very welcome indeed."
On arrival we found a welcome pack consisting of homemade bread (very tasty), milk, butter and jam, plus tea/coffee/ sugar etc - all of which we enjoyed. The accommodation was really lovely and comfortable with traditional furnishings. The location was ideal for visiting numerous National Trust properties (Lytes Cary, Barrington Court, Montacute, Tintinhull etc.) We also visited the City of Wells with it's beautiful Cathedral and the Bishops Palace Gardens which were still full of colour and very tranquil. The small town of Somerton just 3 miles away is also worth a visit. The weather was perfect too and we couldn't have asked for better. We headed for home at the end of the week with loads of things we still wanted to do and so we hope to return again in the not too distant future - and perhaps again after that!.

"The characterful accommodation was perfect for us."
Although well past the official retirement age we managed the access stairs comfortably and once inside it does not disappoint: bright, cosy, well equipped, and we looked forward to returning at the end of each day. Jane was very welcoming and offered to carry luggage up and down the stairs if requested. Her home made plum jam is pretty good as well! We were not able to use the many of the walking and cycling trails in this part of the world but as a base for visiting the many attractions within driving distance suited us perfectly. Lovely!!

"A lovely cottage come first floor apartment in an historic farm building."
Jane and David were most hospitable hosts in the main building and the rural atmosphere was enhanced by the bringing in of the summer harvest, yet it was close enough to walk to the excellent local at Keinton Mandeville. We cycled to the clutch of three National Trust properties nearby, but the south Somerset cycling in general could have occupied us fully on its own. This was an ideal retreat for a couple and whilst we have stayed in quite a few from Yorkshire to South Dorset, this has to rank as one of our favourites.
Thank you for your feedback, you were very pleasant guests to have stay with us and your comments are much appreciated. Property Owner
